The first time I ever came here was probably in the spring of 2023. My sister and I were house hunting and she made a special trip to Sedona. While we were walking around Uptown, we stopped in here and I have gone back a few more times since. My understanding is that this is the original Sono Kitchen & Boba. I like the variety of drinks and snacks they offer. I don't remember if they offer the super size drinks here like they do at the Gilbert location, but this one is definitely smaller on the inside. They do have a few tables and chairs outside when the weather is nice. Prices are average for a boba spot. Employees are quick and friendly as well. They sell cute merch in the store but I wish it had more seats to dine inside. Other than that, Sono Sedona earns a solid 4 stars from me!
We heard that Sono Kitchen has the best popcorn chicken, really close to the ones in Taiwan. We were a bit skeptical, so of course, we had to try it ourselves. Sono is in Uptown Sedona, and you can't miss it, the sign is huge! Parking can be a little tricky around there, but they do have free parking lots, which is nice. They have both indoor and outdoor seating. Besides the popcorn chicken, their menu has bento boxes, rice and noodles, drinks, and boba. We got the popcorn chicken, Jasmine Green Tea, and Dragon Eyes. The popcorn chicken was amazing, really lived up to the hype. The drinks were okay, and the boba was a little too chewy for us. Turns out they also have locations in Flagstaff and Gilbert, so since we're heading north, we might stop by the Flagstaff one too. Definitely worth a visit if you're craving some good Taiwanese-style popcorn chicken!

I love that there's even bubble tea in Sedona now with the addition of Sono to the area. I couldn't resist the call of the boba so we stopped in and got food and drinks to dine in. The interior has a few small tables to sit at with more seating outside on the patio. You can either order at the touch screen or with the cashier next to the screen. You can customize your sweetness level and sub out toppings with no issues. I got the prickly pear mojito and the basil ginger chicken bowl. Both were made fairly quickly which was perfect since we were all thirsty and hungry! The bubble tea was pretty good. It had a good balance of sweet and tart flavors and the boba had that QQ/chewy quality to it. I also enjoyed the basil chicken bowl which had a good portion of meat/veg to rice. Prices are higher than what I'd normally pay for boba but that's to be expected for the area. Details: - Black plastic packaging and flatware - Chopsticks available - Combo specials - Boba is included in your drink unless otherwise specified, substitutions allowed
Found street parking- first 15 min is free then we paid $2 for an hour We ordered the pop n bo for $19.50 which is their popcorn chicken plus one drink ($1 extra for boba). I ordered the Okinawa milk tea (reg sugar with less ice). Flavor was good and boba was soft and chewy. The popcorn chicken had big chunks of chicken and great flavor. 10/10 for both We also got the golden orange splash (no sugar with popping strawberry boba. This one I didn't like but my partner said he liked it (10/10). Drink was $8.70 Then the shrimp wontons - 10 pieces for $12. Looked like the wrapped a shrimp in a wonton wrapper but pretty good! Everything was delicious but price was pretty expensive so docking a star.
We stopped by for a drink to cool off as it was over 100. We got the Dragon Eyes drink and substituted for strawberry popping boba. The drink was refreshing but a little expensive, at ~$9. The interior was cozy with a handful of tables to sit. You can place your order via a kiosk. There was parking behind the strip of stores. Street parking can be a miss on weekends.

Ok drinks. Super expensive for what it is. They offer black tea, green tea, smoothies, and food. We ordered the dragonfruit and mango jasmine green tea and the peach pineapple smoothie. We ordered one of them with boba. The Jasmine green tea was so strong and potent. The peach smoothie was so sweet even though I said no sweetness. We only drank half of each drink then tossed it. It's just not good for the price you pay which is $10 each. It doesn't excite me enough to come back and try other drinks or food when there's so many options in this area.

Tried Sono kitchen & boba while stopping in Sedona. The chicken was SO good, I was not expecting it to be that good. It was very juicy, well seasoned, and came with a good sauce. It had a little kick to it, and I loved the fried basil. The boba was good, I really liked the sea salt foam. It is a fairly small space, with plenty of outdoor seats. The servers were sweet, it did take a while for things to come out, but they were pretty busy. Overall, very happy we stopped to try this place out!

I was craving boba, so we came across Sono Kitchen and decided to give it a try. FOOD Chicken & Rice - This definitely hit the spot. The chicken had a ton of flavor and was well seasoned. It leaned a little salty, but the rice balanced it out really well. Together, it made for a satisfying meal. Boba - Decent overall. I can't say it was the best boba I've ever had, but it was good enough to satisfy the craving. Overall, the chicken and rice was the highlight for me. Good flavor, filling, and exactly what I needed at the time. The boba was decent, but I'd probably come back more for the food than the drinks. read more
Came back to visit Karla because she was so amazing! We got food this time and wow everything was amazing!! The gyoza and veggie spring roll were my favorite! My boyfriend loved the popcorn chicken he said it was alittle spicy which he loved! We sat outside and had the most spectacular view of the red rocks! read more

This cute boba joint is (according to Yelp) the only location in Sedona and about a two minute walk from our Airbnb. We stopped by after dinner and were treated to hefty cups of yummy drinks in cups with adorable cat designs. Who could not love? I got the dragonfruit jasmine tea with boba and even at 50% sugar it was plenty sweet and packed full of tasty bubbles. It still tasted good the next day after refrigeration- maybe even better! Note that the prices are a little high ($7.5 without tax) but in this area that's par for the course. The sizing is generous and you'll leave satisfied, especially in the heat. read more
We stopped here when visiting Sedona and enjoyed a quick snack of Taiwanese popcorn chicken and some boba drinks. The service was friendly and overall fairly prompt in the middle of the afternoon. It's right off a busy touristy area so there's a good bit of food traffic in front of the place. The chicken was flavorful and came out at a nice hot temperature just out of the fryer. The drinks were good for this area in a touristy spot of town and without much competition. If you're thirsty and want a refreshing boba drink plus some pretty good popcorn chicken, check them out! ----TL;DR---- Pros: location is really near where the hustle and bustle of Sedona sits. Friendly service. Prices were on par with other boba places Cons: chicken took a little while to get our order but that also means it's made to order Bottom Line: definitely worth a visit if you're in the area and want some boba and popcorn chicken. read more

I came into this location during my time in Sedona for a quick snack and Bobba with the Things and a companion. I came in and ordered at the kiosk, and apparently, the day I came in, it was the first day the kiosk was in place. The ordering process through the kiosk was easy. What I got: Milk Tea (Boba) Boba tea is a refreshing beverage phenomenon full of sweetness and chewiness that comes in an endless variety of flavors and styles. This milk tea was a delicious combination of black tea, creamer, and chewy tapioca pearls. The sweetness and the chewiness of the boba perfectly complemented the earthy flavor of the milk tea, making it a great option for those seeking something simple. This drink also had undertones of cardamom and cinnamon and was both smooth and sweet. Salt and Pepper Chicken Popcorn chicken Salt & Pepper chicken is a popular Cantonese dish. Dark meat has higher fat content than breast meat, so it is strongly preferred for this dish. These Chinese salt and pepper chicken was crispy and crunchy, but not spicy. The flavors were not as explosive as expected. The ginger could be tasted through the dish as was the garlic. The serving side for the "snack" portion was generous. I personally prefer white meat for chicken dishes as it's leaner than dark meat, so for those who prefer lean meat, this dish may not be for you. Boba after a nice hike... sign me up !!! Sono was so yummy and the location is great! For drinks, I got the Tiger Boba Milk Tea and the Prickley Pear Mojito Boba Tea. Both were good! The brown sugar one was pretty sweet but that's what I expected when I ordered it. They also offered alternative milks which was great :) We also ordered A TON of delicious food but sadly forgot to snap a photo. You really can't go wrong!! The only reason it's 4 and not 5 stars is because it was pretty pricey but it was all so delish. read more

What?!? A boba teahouse in the middle of Sedona that had Dragon fruit tea with bits of dragon fruit and the perfectly chewy textured boba??? It's true - easily one of the best tasting boba I've had! Oh and the mango tea also had mango chunks. Highly recommend if you want boba in Sedona. read more
Wow a great find! A cute Asian shop ("Taiwanese", but also has some Japanese influence as well) I can't rave about the Taiwanese popcorn chicken more! Highly recommend! Crispy & moist with great salt pepper seasoning. Some of the best we've had outside of Taiwan & MD/VA area. We also got the prickly pear mojito boba. The prickly pear flavor was sweet and refreshing. Not much of the jasmine tea flavor, and I could have used twice as much boba than was given. My only gripe is the prices of everything. Boba is $8.70, the popcorn chicken is $15 (but a decent serving size). Basically double what it costs at home in MD. But you can get the "pop n bo" combo (popcorn chicken + 1 boba) for $20.50 read more

Fantastic boba has made it to Sedona! I have long avoided Asian food in Sedona--it's typically mediocre at best--but Sono Kitchen & Boba was a pleasant surprise that exceeded my expectations. Sono uses real matcha powder, rather than a syrup, and lets the tea shine in the classic milk tea! The boba is also perfectly chewy. If you want a snack, I highly recommend ordering the boba and popcorn chicken combo. The chicken is flavorful and comes in a pretty large, shareable serving! Sono also has the cuuutest trinkets for sale within the store, from a cat mug to keychains, and their logo is just as adorable. The staff is pretty friendly, as well, so we had a pleasant experience overall. Hope more legit Asian spots (or any authentic food from other cultures) pop up in Sedona in the future! read more

Seeing an Asian snack and boba place in the middle of Sedona, I did not have high hopes initially. But I was pleasantly surprised with how good the Taiwanese fried chicken was! It really did take authentic like the street food I would get in Chinatown. The boba was surprisingly delusion too, did not taste super syrup-y and had real fruit! We has a lovely table outside that was shaded and didn't wait too long. We will be back! read more

Its a great fresh looking shop, and I think it has a lot of potential but it has those touristy prices and paying $8.50 for boba is steep. I ordered the prickly pear mojito boba (Sedona seems to advertise lots of items with prickly pear, so when in Sedona). It does not contain any milk so I was confused by it being listed there, but you can see from my photo it is fully tea and no milk of any kind. I was not a fan of the flavor, it was a refreshing drink I can admit to that with a tart bite to it. The boba (jelly boba) if flavored I couldn't tell you what it was, and I cant remember seeing it anywhere on the menu or being told by the staff, perhaps it was also prickly pear? Service was super friendly and quick, given we stopped here solely for drinks. They looked like they offered some good food too but again on the pricey side. read more
