Though it can get crowded and the car lines long, I have always found this to be a nice location with some very friendly Baristas who get my drink right. We've come here whenever we're up in Flag. I've read many of the reviews and some of them are unintentionally humorous. I'll let you guess which ones. But, as another Yelper has pointed out, the "Bucks of Schultz's", as I like to call Starbucks, has constantly delivers a universally good product to us. I would say that has been my experience as well with with this location. They try hard and most of the time they execute on it. And they even let us come in to use the restroom even though they had just closed the inside because of an accident (aka, a car drove through their plate glass window!) My guy and I both ordered B&W Frappuccinos; one with whipped cream and one without. Both came with whipped cream, but they scraped off the cream on the one that wasn't supposed to have any. When I grabbed them, I had a feeling that they were wrong. Partly due to how they looked and the fact that the tag stuck to the cups only said "white mocha". Told the barista that I didn't think they were right (even mentioning to him what I had ordered), he looked at them and told me they looked right to him. Well, they were not. Couldn't even finish mine due to a lingering, overly bitter aftertaste that just made me not want to take another drink. Coffee still the same, I like the new La Boulange line of eats, but I really came back to up my rating to 5 stars based on service alone. To avoid most Starbucks lines, i mobile order ahead, run inside, and grab my drink from the counter. Quick and easy. However, every time I mobile order to this location I end up waiting just as long as the drive through. See my drink is sitting behind their barista counter, making it impossible for me to just grab it. So I wait patiently. But patience runs thin when your constantly waiting 10-15+ minutes for your drink that is literally done and sitting there. The staff at this location are totally inattentive to the mobile order counter. Every single time I walk in I have to awkwardly flag someone down. Sometimes, the barista's don't appreciate this and love to have an attitude. The whole point of mobile ordering is to skip the line and skip the wait. I've always been a Starbucks girl. It was my first "real" job when I was 19 years old, so I have a soft spot. The four stars are for taste and the friendliness of the baristas at this location. When I pull into the drive thru, the first question they ask isn't "What would you like?", it's "How are you today? Doing anything fun?". I appreciate the human connection they give, even through a drive thru speaker. While they're all awesome, Jason is seriously so friendly! We had a good sixty second conversation over the drive thru (I was the only customer in sight, it was dead so I didn't feel bad for holding anybody up.) I knocked one star off because, like most coffee places, pricing is getting high. $5.85 for a latte is a bit much, but what are you gonna do? Most other places are just as expensive, and I like the perks I get with my Starbucks app (Happy Hour pricing, a free drink every so often, order ahead convenience, etc.). read more

I always have a horrible experience here with this one specific older barista. I don't know if she doesn't understand what it's like being a college student or if she just hates her job but I go here quite frequently to do homework and whenever I am here while she is here she is always telling customers what they can't do. Not what they can do. It was 9:01 pm and they were getting ready to close and I did know that they closed at 9 but I have a bunch of homework to do and not a whole lot of time to do it. I politely asked one of the baristas if they minded if I spent another 3 minutes finishing up my work and she looked at the older barista with short hair working the closing shift on sep. 19th 2023 and she said, "you can sit outside and finish it, we have to lock the door" I would understand if I was rude or didn't ask but I couldn't believe her response. I am now sitting outside in the cold finishing my problem watching her fail to lock the door (which is why she said I couldn't stay a little longer) she is still inside closing. I also have problems with her when I bring my esas in. She always tries to tell me I cannot have them in the store even though I always say they are fully registered legal esa's. I love Starbucks and most of the people who work there! I'm a very frequent customer. I've worked in customer service and try to be understanding but I would appreciate if this woman's attitude was brought to her attention. Before leaving I tried to let her know that it really sucks that I couldn't have finished my problem since I was almost done and she cut me off and said, "have a great night" as I was talking so I just smiled said "have a great night" back and sat outside. You can see the interaction on the cameras I'm sure. I don't think these are the type of people Starbucks needs representing themselves but at the same time I'm not sure if they are aware. I would not be surprised if she is a manager or something. I heard her telling people closing tasks so I assume so. If she is a manager she is not setting a good example for the people working beneath her. I get having to close but you do not have to treat polite paying customers that way. read more

I just want to say Jessica the store manager is absolutely amazing. I accidentally left my card at the drive in window before driving all the way down to Phoenix for my flight the next day. When I realized that I had forgotten my card I called the store in a panic and she was able to locate it! Not only did she overnight it to me, but she also included a gift card. The worst service ever for Starbucks. First they call my name and give me the pastry I ordered. Then 5 minutes later they call my name and give me one of the two exact same coffees I ordered. Now, this was just regular grande hit coffee in the morning. Nothing special. I asked where the other one was and they said it's coming up. 10 minutes later after people behind me got their regular coffee, I had to speak up. Great space in this Starbucks. The line moved pretty quickly. Didn't go thru the drive thru because I heard it takes too long. If I lived here, this would be a great Starbucks to study. There seems to be a big problem with service at this starbucks, right next to taco bell. This is the one closest to the I 17 coming up from the valley. I stopped in for coffee and food. They put our food up first, sitting, for 15 minutes, before i realized it was there. Then they tell me there is a 15 minute delay for coffee... more like half an hour. I understand, stores close, other stores pick up the slack. Warn us when we come in! Put a sign in the window! We could have run into Safeway. Don'tmake excuses, make your customers aware of the problem. The sarcasm on the way out was just rude. Explain first, dont make your customers fugure it out. I have never been to any restaurant where they would serve food and then coffee half an hour later, without any.sort of explanation. read more

I was on a family vacation and the cabin we rented had no WiFi so I headed to Starbucks to get jacked up on Iced green tea and get some work done (in real estate when you've got active escrows going vacation just means working somewhere else!) I spent 4 hours here 2 days in a row. I cannot speak highly enough about this staff. They were welcoming, friendly and made my "work days" fun. I mean...Its okay..... On a busy day it is crowded and slow,and even if there's no line there slow... But they do have a pretty good selection and a lot of room If you are studying.. Another thing that caught my eye is the bike station:which is pretty cool and awesome if your a Pro-Biker and want to bike from Flagstaff to Walnut Canyon and back. Went through the drive-thru wanting the Calm tea but was told they no longer carry Tazo brand tea and only Teavana. The barista recommended the mint majesty and I asked to mix that with the peach tranquility and milk. I didn't bother to look at my tea bag labels right away and didn't drink my tea promptly as it was steaming hot. Once I drank it a few minutes after already having left the store I noticed it was VERY minty. I looked at the drink tags and noticed she never gave me the peach tranquility. The drinks are delicious from Starbucks. It's your customers that you treatment is plainly I don't give a damn if you are here, if you order, if you buy anything or if you slip on the ice outside the door. The worst part is you have changed your hours at night and weekends. Now the order taker at closing is really rude. No you can't use the bathroom we have cleaned it for tomorrow. No order ahead available because we are going to close. Oh yes let's lock the door early so they just can't come in because Manager doesn't want us to get overtime. All of this is crazy. I have been driving I-40/I-17 for several years in the last 6 months this location has gone down hill. It is the only one open. Don't go to this location if you're in a hurry. Placed a mobile pick up order, arrived at the store 10 mins later and still wasn't ready. I only ordered one grande sized drink. Customers that came in and ordered up front got their drinks before me. Also, the girls at the front didn't even acknowledge me or apologize for the long wait. At least at other locations they'll let you know they're working on it and will apologize for the delay. They didn't even care in the slightest. As a remote worker I often find it hard to focus at home and instead opt for a coffee shop to keep me energized mentally and caffeinated-ly. This Starbucks is easily the best I've ever been to or had the pleasure to get to regularly work at, no matter how busy it is they always make a genuine effort to smile and be happy (not just to you as the costumer BUT to each other as well, teamwork makes the dream work.) This positive culture that the staff have curated at this location palpably effects the atmosphere, it's a place you enjoy coming to, and I should know as I'm here 3-5 times a week for 6 hours at a time. Also as a general Starbucks protip if you are a student or remote worker, if you spend $150 a year at starbucks all hot and iced coffee/tea as well as coldbrew is free refills.. which if you're like me and spend a lot of time somewhere pays off real quick, and then you can throw some of that savings the staff's way since they make it such a gem of a location. read more

I may have spoke too soon about the wifi situation. Visited again a couple weeks ago to get some studying done only to find that I couldn't connect to wifi at all. I tried both my laptop and my phone with no success. Asked one of the baristas about it and was told that the connection just sucks and there's nothing they can do. He made it sound like it's just something they've gotten used to. Somebody needs to fix this issue. This was all AFTER I purchased my cup of coffee. So what did I do? Packed all my stuff and moved over to the Starbucks on Route 66. That one opened fairly recently and I love how spacious and clean it is. The best part is that wifi is reliable! So it's really a hit or miss if you want to use your laptops here. I find myself driving the few extra miles to the newer Starbucks just to be safe nowadays and save myself the hassle. read more

It would be unfair for me to rate this place because of coffee because they all starbucks have the same sucky coffee. I just don't agree with a lot of things that starbucks do... like the way they grind their coffee or adding all those syrups. I am rating the employees. They are always super friendly and super nice here, whether you go inside or go through their drive-thru. So friendly! My girlfriend and I went here yesterday just to their cake pops. We didn't even make it to where you order, when the woman over the intercom promptly yelled that they were closed when there were still cars in front of us in line getting their drinks. We waited for about 15 minutes before this happened. It's SATURDAY. At 7 PM. Get it together. I love this location, I normally always get a venti very berry hibiscus refresher and substitute the water for green tea (you should try it, it's amazing) and other places don't make the tea strong enough, but here they make it great. Sometimes when I don't want tea I get an iced coffee and today I wanted to try the vanilla sweet cream cold brew but I was skeptical. Jason totally convinced me to get it and said that it was going to be my new favorite drink, I was not disappointed. So thank you, Jason for introducing me to my new favorite coffee drink. read more

Having been a partner at Starbucks for nearly 3 years, this visit was MUCH too below par. We went through the drive thru for a early evening drink. No cars in line at 6:50pm on a Friday, so that rocked! However, TJ pretty much blew it. He didn't listen for us to finish my "high maintenance" beverage before attempting to correct me. I was getting an Americano with light water (for room for my milk) and when my husband said "light water", TJ was quick to say "so what do you want in it?" Rudeness! How about listening to the order before assuming I'm new at this. I was trained with "customers are always right" so smile and nod if something wasn't totally accurate to Starbucks. He did attempt to apologize, but I didn't feel the sincerity in it. Oh well, at least our drinks were correct. read more

This is your typical Starbucks with the same coffee you can get from any of their locations. Only thing making this store stand out was the nastiest bathrooms I have ever seen in a Starbucks. I can only review the drive thru as I only went in this location once over a year ago. Folks it's a chain the coffee is decent, the customer service is always pleasant. The drive thru will be packed after 8:00 a.m. and through 9:30 a.m.; be prepared for a 5 to 10 minute wait during this time frame. read more
