Coffee/staff/etc is all great here. If you are coming here to use functional internet, be prepared to deal with irregular internet that drops you frequently. I did a speed test. Supposedly the free wi-fi has a download speed of around 1.2 MB/s, and an upload speed of 300 or so KB/s. The bars, while I am sitting in the middle of the room, hover around 2 or so (out of 5 on my PC). I am streaming a lecture (I'm studying for the California bar this summer in Flag), and the stream is frequently choppy, it stops once every 10 minutes or so, and the rest of the internet is highly irregular and choppy. My iphone (I'm on the lowest data plan so I tend to use wi-fi when its available) is unable to hold the signal for the wi-fi here. Its totally not functional and seriously frustrating. read more

Worst Starbucks service ever...and we go to a lot of Starbucks. Pulled up through the drive thru, no one took our order. After a min or 2 of waiting we pulled up to the window. Told the gentleman that we didn't get a chance to order. He ignored us while he took someone else's order. No greeting, no please hold on a minute. He looked back and my husband stated he didn't get to order and he just said, "I heard you". He literally didn't utter another word to us. We said please and thank you, nothing in return. The store is about average for a Starbucks, the interior is table oriented I assume for the high capacity demand by students from the nearby university. However the wi-fi only reaches about ten feet from the counter and leaves the entire lobby in a grey zone with terrible speed and frequent disconnects. People around me have complained about it every time I've been here. It's 2014, sbux revenues tapping $15 billion. Spend the hundred bucks on a decent router and stop taking your loyal customers for granted. As this is the only Starbucks on this end if flagstaff, suggest "Campus Coffee" coffee shop across the street and down a couple blocks. Very nice local place with good wi-fi. read more

Ooookay, where to begin... My sister and I were working up at Lost Canyon (Young Life's camp in Williams) for the weekend, and were headed home when we decided to make a pit stop and get some tasty beverages. We go through the drive through, order our drinks as usual- nothing huge, nothing complicated.. 2 drinks- one iced chai and one iced coffee with some white mocha in it. Super difficult, right? Apparently so. We get to the window to pay for and receive our drinks when I see my sister's drink (the iced coffee) has a dome lid on it. I think, "hmm.. that's weird..."- the barista then practically shoves the drink at me and says, "we're out of normal lids. here!" and immediately runs away. The second she puts the drink in my hand, the precariously perched lid pops off and iced coffee is now all over my face, my arm, my clothes, AND my car. When she comes back, I said, "um, do you think I could have a bunch of napkins since you didn't put the lid on all the way and now I have iced coffee all over me and my car?". She practically laughs at me and between her snorts manages to say, "ohhh... yeah that sucks! haha... I guess so.". Are you KIDDING??? "That sucks"???? The girl doesn't even offer to remake the drink she essentially spilled all over me. She hands me a couple of napkins and then my drink (the "iced chai") when I asked her for another iced coffee the way we ordered it and a couple of comped drink coupons for the trouble and mess she's recently created. After several eye-rolls and a stink-eye to boot, she somehow finds it in her precious little heart to give us our stuff so we can leave that wretched establishment. I pull into the shady looking hotel next to Starbucks and ask if I can use either a bathroom or a regular room to change into my only semi-clean clothes I have in my car after a weekend of working at a youth camp. In the meantime, my sister (who happens to work at a Starbucks herself) has gone back into the store to try and get more paper towels and hopefully a rag to help clean up my now coffee-drenched car. She's greeted with hostility and rude comments- they literally told her she couldn't have a rag because she "might steal it". Yep- steal a freaking rag from Starbucks- her OWN company. Good call, Lumberjacks. Back at the ranch, I find out that NEITHER drinks are made correctly. Awesome. Gear up for another round. We both go back into the store (I've since changed into the 'left-overs' from camp that don't make me look like I crapped and peed my pants simultaneously) and ask them to properly make our two über difficult drinks. Dear. Lord. 10 minutes go by (we're the only people in the store waiting for anything), all the people working at the time are giving us dirty looks, and they FINALLY throw some drinks up at the handoff station without a word and stare at us. We took our drinks, returned to my car that still has coffee all over it, and began our traffic-plagued trip back down the mountain. Sorry for the novel, but needless to say, this location doesn't even deserve a star. I understand the whole, "turistas go home" mentality that can sometimes accompany an interaction with a person from Flagstaff. I get it. There are plenty of annoying tourists and snow-snobs that come through. But really?? Did your mom not teach you common courtesy? Not to mention you supposedly work for the King of Customer Service himself.. Get your game up. Milton is not a sparsely traveled road- loads of people are going to stop by with MUCH more complicated orders than an iced chai and an iced coffee. read more

I like this Starbucks. I really do. The staff is always friendly and helpful, the store is always clean, and they are open early and late. However, there are a few things to take note of if you intend on regularly getting coffee here, or even stopping in at all. This place is a ZOO in the mornings. It doesn't matter if it's a weekday or the weekend, and despite there being Starbucks kiosks in Safeway and Target, this is the only Starbucks store on the west side of town (not including the one by Albertsons off Ponderosa Pkwy, which is east of downtown). They always have a full staff, but the sheer amount of people makes it unbearable sometimes. The parking lot is super weird and cramped and the drive-thru line makes it so you can't back out of certain parking spots. Also, the WiFi here is absolute shit. It NEVER works for me, even when there aren't that many people in the store. I used to attempt to come here to do homework, but the lack of internet makes it difficult. Lastly, I have been approached by high/drunk/shot-out people asking for money several times while walking the 20 feet from the door to my car. This is slightly terrifying and I realize it has nothing to do with Starbucks... it's just about the location. Basically, if you're a student, the service here is WAY better than the "Starbucks" on campus, but don't expect to get work done here. If you're a tourist, the location is super convenient and you won't have to go out of your way to get your morning coffee, but you might be approached by some unsightly characters or wait a while for your order. Otherwise, there are a lot of local coffee shops (and even other Starbucks) that aren't as crowded or surrounded by sketchballs that you could go to if you cared to venture off Milton. read more

My trip to Arizona took an unpleasant turn when I went to this starbucks yesterday. Right off the bat, I was greeted with extremely rude starbucks worker named Chantel. The whole time I was ordering she constantly gave me dirty and rude looks. When I ordered she was extremely rude and rolling her eyes at my order and my preferences. I asked twice to confirm I was receiving nonfat milk since I am lactose intolerant which she responded rudely that "I did not need to repeat it". After, saying my name, which is an ethnically indian name, she rolled her eyes when I had to spell it out for her. As I was waiting for my drink she gave me and my other friend (who was also indian) dirty looks. Another employee asked if I had a mobile order which I misheard for a mocha order, which I ordered, and said yes. She then immediately cut in and rudely yelled out to the other employee that I did not have an order a mobile order and not give me the drink insinuating I was trying to steal the drink. When I tried to explain that I thought it was a mocha order she continued to rudely yell that I was not a mobile order. She continued to give me and my friends dirty looks till I left. In addition, the drink was not properly mixed. I felt insanely disrespected and will not ever go to this starbucks again if Chantel is working there. No customer should be treated with such blatant disrespect for no reason. read more

The drive-thru was about 10 cars deep when I got in line. I was in and out within 10-15 minutes. A lot faster than ones in Las Vegas.

I am a Starbucks regular and while visiting family for Thanksgiving in Flagstaff, I stopped at this location (drive through) for my morning coffee. As I was driving away, I took a sip and it was the wrong coffee. I went back, parked and went inside to have them make my correct order. This has happened before at other locations and really isn't a big deal. The baristas have always been so wonderful and quick to correct my order. What my issue was is with the customer service with the employees at this location. They treated me like their mistake was my problem. My order was placed last in line behind a long order of drinks being made which it should've been priority. After waiting a ridiculous amount of time for my coffee to be made, I asked the barista and she said she didn't even have an order for me (except it had been sitting next to her the whole time). I asked for the manager and explained the situation. The manager (or shift supervisor) at least understood and was quick to rectify the situation but the other two employees were trying to act like they had taken care of the situation when they didn't. She said she would make sure they understood what constitutes a priority. Hopefully she does because some of these employees here need some serious retraining in customer service!! read more

In fact, my drink was so bad I might never go to another Starbucks again for fear that it's their policy to make insultingly weak drinks. I threw my drink away after a few sips.
