Stopped by Matador Coffee on our way home from Page for a quick pick-me-up. There's a small parking lot as well as a drive-thru. We chose to park and go inside to also use the restroom. The staff behind the counter was lovely and greeted us right away. The coffee shop is spacious and offers plenty of seating. Seems like a great place to work, study, or meet up with a friend. I usually go for lattes, but kept it simple with a plain cold brew. Theirs was smooth, refreshing, and gave me the caffeine boost I needed to get through the rest of the ride home. Ok so this coffee is absolutely ridiculously good! I enjoyed 4 shots of espresso over ice. The coffee was super smooth. We ordered bagels that were toasted perfectly with a generous layer of cream cheese. The blueberry scone was as gigantic and freshly baked. Like it was warm! The staff was very helpful and willing to answer questions about menu items since there are some things I need to avoid. Their coffee is delicious! Usually I prefer milk or cream in my coffee but when I tasted my husband's cold brew I was blown away because it is so smooth! I vibe with the playlist to boot lol! So to maybe cut down on the wait time I tried to call before driving over but they couldn't be bothered to answer their phone. I get there place my order and - this is a PERSISTENT PROBLEM - they have no *milk*!! what kind of coffee place doesn't have MILK? and they're like 5 mins from Dollar General/Family Dollar/Safeway and there's even instacart but there's no excuse to run out of milk! then I waited 25 MINUTES for a bagel that's cold in the middle and burned on the edges -- I can NOT recommend anyone go there read more

I'm surprised I have not left a review here yet. It's the closest coffee shop to where I live so I stop by here a lot. They make some good coffee and lattes here. I usually either get a mocha or a thin mint. The food is also good. I'm a big fan of their breakfast burritos which comes with eggs, potatoes, cheese and your choice of meat. I usually get the soyrizo (they don't have chorizo). They also have bacon and sausage available. I also like their bagels, I just ask for it to be toasted extra cuz they don't toast it very much. I am a big fan of this place and I'll continue to stop in... Mostly stop by though (drive thru). read more

My friend and I are driving cross country with a dog that just got rehomed with me and we were looking to support local coffee along the way. I called Matador to ask if they were dog friendly and they were, and SO nice! It was cute inside and my dog was allowed in there too and they gave us treats and we had excellent coffee and breakfast sandwiches. And then a barista came out holding 2 dog jackets and asked if we wanted one for free, courtesy of another barista who had extras ?! SO SWEET! Lady got the dopest puffy jacket that lights up and it'll keep her so warm for the rest of her trip! read more

My three positives and a negative because the world needs more positivity: + local + hubby loved the drip coffee (both with and without cream). If we lived here- he for sure would take advantage of the free refills. Super cute place we stopped into on route to the Petrified Forest. Staff was friendly & helpful when my wife wasn't sure what she wanted to try. I had "raspberry truffle mocha" (amazing!!) and she landed on the "Dirt Clod" which had a big chunk of chocolate in it and was delicious too. We also grabbed a Hammie Sammie to split & I wish we would've gotten two... so yummy. read more

I stopped in last Sunday for a breakfast sandwich and some coffee and found one of my new favorite breakfast joints in Flag. Today when I had a hankering for a mid day breakfast sandwich I knew just the place I needed to go. Once again I decided to go with a breakfast sandwich and some coffee. The barista was super nice and got our food and coffees out quick. We opted to sit on the purple couch today to enjoy our breakfast. This location has the perfect vibe going on, the other Matador across town is just a bit to chaotic for a hang out spot. I can't recommend this location enough. I will definitely be back for a delicious coffee and/ or a sandwich. Although maybe I should branch out and try a burrito next week... I guess only time will tell. read more

Always a good spot to stop on the way home and grab some coffee. My sister and I's favorites are the Raspberry Truffle and Thin mint, both with coconut milk! Probably the worst coffee and breakfast bagel I've ever had. The coffee tasted like straight milk, the berry smoothie had no flavor and was foamy, and the bagels were soggy, and full of liquid from the green chili that had so many hard stems! And to top it off, we spent almost $70!! read more

I went to grab a coffee on an early am drive and had to go to the Dutch shop because this one was closed. A decent place to get your coffee on. Ordered a double expresso with cream and sugar and a bagel and cheese. While the expresso was an average expresso it didn't have the overall kick I need in my doubles. It's ok at least it's a coffee fix and for a coffee addict there's never enough. The bagel and cream cheese obviously are what u expect. I also do like the perk here you get a free doughnut with every purchase!!! So you say oh no worries of course I'll wait more than the standard ten minutes. And finally- they don't even make their own syrups. I honestly could not taste any graham or marshmallow flavor, but it definitely was a stronger and sweeter coffee than the Dark Sky, which is what my friend got. The Dark Sky had very subtle mint flavor, and as acid mint lovers, we wish there would have been more! Overall, a really great cafe that I would frequent again, especially when shopping or walking around downtown.

One of our favorite tea spots to stop at whenever we're in Flagstaff. They sell their own teas…read morein-house, which is a nice touch. My boyfriend ordered the hot London Fog and really enjoyed it. I can't remember the exact name of my drink - something like Orange Dream - but it was delicious as well. You can actually taste the tea, and it doesn't taste artificial at all. Super good. There's plenty of seating inside, which makes it a great place to hang out. The only downside is parking - finding a spot in Flagstaff can be tricky, and most of the parking in the area is paid. That said, it wasn't too busy when we went around 8am. Definitely recommend!

These folks are deeply, passionately committed to one thing: dried leaves steeped in hot water. And honestly, they do it well. If you're a tea lover, this place is your Disneyland. The selection is impressive, the vibe is relaxed, and the people behind the counter clearly care about what they're doing. There's a real enthusiasm here for the craft of tea, and that kind of passion is always fun to see. That said, my one issue was a pretty important one on a cold Flagstaff day... My tea showed up lukewarm. Now normally I'm a pretty forgiving person... but when it's 40 degrees outside and tea is the entire business model, this feels like a pretty big detail. When tea is the whole menu, temperature isn't a detail... it's the headliner. I like the concept. I respect the passion. It's just a bit limiting for my taste, and the execution missed slightly on the most important note. Three stars. A cool idea... that just needed to be a little hotter.
