Thank you Guy and the triple d show I went I tried different types of polish food ; and enjoyed it all their stuffed cabbage was very tasty . Seems to be a neighborhood staple and their us street parking . The waiter was nice and attentive plus the place has a nice old world feel

Best Polish food anywhere near Boston. This quaint little Cafe has an old world vibe with traditional polish decorations and seating. I was served quickly and knew exactly what I wanted. The soups are here are incredible. I ordered the traditional Polish pickle soup as an appetizer and for my main course I ordered the potato pancakes with goulash. Absolutely outstanding. The potato pancakes are crisp with a rich beef goulash on the side with a dab of sour cream and sweet spiced apples. I washed that all down with a traditional Polish beer. If you're looking for a unique experience, old world charm and delicious Polish food this is the place in Boston.

This is exactly what I needed when visiting Boston and seeing family. I'm polish myself and this hit the spot. The meat pierogis and stuffed cabbage was exactly how my grandma made it. It was lovely. Everything was so fresh and made with love! The vibes inside are cozy, the gentleman serving us was kind, and all the food was piping hot. It was such a great experience and brought me so much comfort! Highly recommend! The polish Pilsner hit the spot too.

While out shopping in the Seaport District with a friend, we decided to stop by Café Polonia for lunch before heading back to the Cape. My friend had been there several times before, but it was my first time trying Polish or Eastern European cuisine--so I was definitely curious. We were greeted by warm, friendly staff and told there'd be a short wait since all the tables were full. The restaurant is small and cozy, with just about 7 or 8 tables, which made it feel intimate and homey. As we were seated, something immediately caught my eye--a framed, autographed poster of Guy Fieri from Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives on the wall. Turns out, he had actually featured Café Polonia on the show! That little detail added an extra layer of excitement and definitely raised my expectations. We both ordered the Żywiec Pilsner, which was light and easy to drink--perfect for someone like me who prefers milder beers. While we looked over the menu, they brought out sliced sourdough bread with butter, a nice little touch that made us feel right at home. My friend went with the Grilled Kielbasa Sandwich, served on a sub roll with caramelized onions, sauerkraut, and mustard. He chose the potato salad as his side (other options included fries or mashed potatoes). It looked delicious and hearty. I opted for the Polish Platter, which turned out to be the perfect introduction to this style of food. It came with a sampling of Hunter's Stew, stuffed cabbage, three pierogies (potato & cheese, cabbage & mushroom, and meat), and grilled kielbasa. Everything was flavorful and satisfying, and the portion was generous--I even had leftovers to take home. If you're ever in the area, definitely make time to stop by Café Polonia. Great food, reasonable prices, and genuinely welcoming service--it's a hidden gem worth discovering!

Cafe Polonia is truly a hidden gem nestled right in Dorchester's Polish Triangle. Warm, welcoming and utterly wonderful - this place offers the coziest and most appetizing Polish comfort food I have ever come across. It's not just a casual comment when I say this - it comfortably sits within my top 10 favorite restaurants in Boston! This is what we had: - Polish Plate: A sampler of three different pierogies, stuffed cabbage, and grilled kielbasa with cabbage stew. Each item was hearty and flavorful, truly a delight for someone seeking an authentic Polish culinary experience. - Potato Pancakes: Four pancakes served with tart apple sauce and sour cream ... highlight was the delectable mushroom stew we added! What certainly stood out was not only the quality of the food, but also the generous portions and friendly service. They have a selection of Polish beers, and at $7 a liter, I couldn't ignore such a bargain. Simply put, the whole dining experience at Cafe Polonia is very reasonably priced considering the excellence served in every bite. Cafe Polonia shines with authenticity and charm, making it an perfect dining experience for both its food and atmosphere. Check out this treasure in Dorchester's Polish Triangle. Smacznego and Savor - you won't regret it!

A taste of Poland in Boston! A quaint little dining experience. No parking but plenty of spaces to park. Cafe Polinia is the epitome of delicious Polish food. We started out with a Polish beer that was very light & flavorful. Then the main courses. Two huge potato pancakes over Hungarian goulash. Potato & cheese pierogis & lightly fried potatoes (their version of French fries). I couldn't believe how delicious everything was! My mouth is watering just typing this review. There is one waiter & he was on point through our entire meal. Prices were very reasonable. It's hard to see as the sign doesn't light up but you will know when you see it. Definitely on my top ten.

First time having Polish food and wow was I happily stuffed and satisfied! We were in the neighborhood and looking for lunch options. Saw cafe Polonia had really good reviews and decided to give it a try. It was Saturday around 12:30 but we managed to grab the last table. It was a small place so make sure not to come during rush hour. Or if large parties maybe call ahead. We got - - potato pancake 5/5. Super crispy outside but soft and creamy inside. I can eat two more of this!! - pierogi (pork) 4/5. We forgot to ask for pan fried so they came out steamed. Still good especially with bacon bits on top but wish it was fried. Will make sure to request specifically next time. - polish plate (5/5). I like to try everything so this is perfect for me. Everything tasted so good and the hunter stew/cabbage dish paired perfectly with the sausage and balanced it all out. Our server was friendly and food came out pretty quick (big portion as well). Overall everything was amazing and will definitely be back next time we are in town!

First time very polish food and it seems like authentic format polish food. I have nothing to compare it to. To my personal preference, it was not amazing but it was also not bad. Not used to the flavor profile. The pirogi fried were just a tad greasy

I came here in a group of 3 for lunch on a Saturday. It wasn't super packed at first but the restaurant filled up quickly. We got the smoked salmon potato pancakes ($14), polish plate ($22), and meat filled potato dumplings ($18). The server also gave us lots of bread with butter. The food came at a reasonable time and everything tasted fresh. We all really liked the smoked salmon potato pancakes because the pancakes had a crispy edge on them and were seasoned nicely. The polish plate was a great way to sample various items on their menu-- everything tasted nice and had a homey feel but I wasn't particularly blown away by any of the dishes. The potato dumplings came in a big serving and I really liked how savory the sauce was. The veggies on the side each had their own flavor profiles and added texture to the dish. This spot isn't cheap but the portions are pretty big for what you pay. One dish can definitely be shared or split into multiple meals.

This place has been on my list to try for quite some time and it definitely lived up to my expectations (and then some). This place is the definition of cozy, European home style cooking. We got the potato pancake dish as an appetizer which was absolutely delicious. The cabbage rolls were the tightest and most packed rolls I've ever tried. The polish plate gives great variety if you don't know what to order. There were so many different things we wanted to try on the menu, we can't wait to come back! Our server recommend we order the soups the next time we're there and we're looking forward to trying them!

Additionally, it wasn't until after our first dish came out that we were told they were out of two other dishes that we had ordered. You know when you're eating a kale salad and the pieces are too big and you're kind of cramming them into your mouth and then the salad dressing is all over your face? This is NOT that salad! The kale is perfectly chopped so you can enjoy it with just your fork as you talk to your friend/spouse/date or just read your book. The dressing is such perfection, and the perfect amount, no gloopiness here! Crunchy breadcrumbs add magical texture and then there's a shower of finely grated gouda cheese on top. Have you ever read a good book and as you're reading it, you're so into it that you don't want it to end? So you slow down your reading speed to make it last a little longer? That's how I feel about this salad. There are other delicious items on the menu, I saw someone eating the burger that looked so good, I also want to try the Brussels but the call of the salad siren is too strong. Everyone is super welcoming and friendly, especially Catherine, and the kitchen team even shared the dressing recipe with me. I asked the bartender about it, and he said it could be out in five minutes. I told him that if it was already on the way, we'd take it -- but if it hadn't been put in yet, that was fine and we didn't want it anymore. His response was basically, "If you want it, it'll be out in five minutes." No explanation, no acknowledgment of what happened, and no apology. It felt more like "do you want it or not?" rather than any ownership of the situation. In the end, I never got my food, and it just left a bad taste in my mouth. Not terrible, but definitely disappointing given how quiet it was. The food we did have was solid, but the lack of communication and basic apology knocked this down to two stars for me.

The menu refers to these as "Greek cheese bread" but somehow that doesn't do it justice - these were immensely pillowy and cheesy, with an amazing crust, with homemade honey butter on the side. I could have had just these for dinner and been satisfied. They really nailed the bread. My other favorites: 1. Hipiti: spicy whipped feta with crispy potatoes on the side. I don't do well with spice but I absolutely loved this. 2. Marouli: winter lettuce with the most amazing vinaigrette dressing. My only knock to this is, presentation-wise, they serve it with half of the plate empty and the other half with salad. I don't understand why restaurants do this because - one, it only highlights the smaller portion and two, we're just going to mix the salad all around in the bowl anyway. 3. Boudeto: daily catch in a beautiful tomato broth. For a seafood dish at a restaurant in Back Bay, this was priced at a fairly reasonable $28. The only dish that fell a little flat for me was the tzatziki - needed a bit more seasoning. As it was, I was eating mostly just plain yogurt. The table-side preparation was cool, though. The space is its own visual dinner, there's simply a lot to look at (including a drawing of Poseidon riding a surf board). We got the big table in the back, which was a beautiful glass structure with a whole terrarium underneath. We couldn't stop marveling at it throughout the meal. Our waiter was wonderful - very helpful recommendations, came by to check on us often even though we were pretty far in the back, super patient with our questions. Hard to get reservations but worth it! Don't bother driving / trying to find parking unless you're willing to eat a hefty garage fee, it's Back Bay.
