The Boston doner sandwich was good -- the meat being cooked and shaved straight from a shawarma grill definitely makes a difference and gives it that authentic touch. The food isn't out of this world, but the portions are generous for the price, which makes it a good value. The space itself is very casual, no-frills, and easy for a quick meal. What really stood out was the service -- our server was incredibly kind and even brought us complimentary Turkish tea to end the meal, which was a really nice touch. First time here. Picked up some food for take out as we were in the area. The inside is nice with decent amount of table seating and a large counter for ordering. The menus are up on the wall. We had also looked up online beforehand so we knew what we wanted. I got the chicken kebab wrap sandwich and asked for tzatziki instead of the sauce it came with. Hubs ordered the doner sandwich also with tzatziki. The portions were quite decent, taste wise okay, meat was tender and flavorful. I had high hopes. I would be curious to try some of the other dishes. The order did take a while about 15 minutes or so- we waited seated at one of the tables. Such a filling and delicious dinner! The portions here were huge, I had to take half to go! Starting off, our server was great and really quick with ordering. The menu is plentiful, and it looks like you can't go wrong with anything. When the plates came out, we were astonished with the sizes, you really get your moneys worth! We also started off with a delicious bread and dip before receiving the main dishes. My doner sandwich was filled to the brim with meat and super yummy, it was just quite hefty to eat! Unfortunately, my experience did not live up to expectations. The döner was served cold, overly seasoned, and noticeably dry. The minced meat dish seemed previously frozen and reheated, with an unappealing texture. The yogurt drink was very sour and did not taste fresh. Behind the counter, the food preparers appeared disengaged, which contributed to an unwelcoming atmosphere. While friendliness is not required, a more attentive presence would improve the experience. The location is excellent, but the prices do not reflect the quality of food or overall experience. It was concerning to see desserts left uncovered in the cashier area, exposed to the environment. Based on the social media presence, one would expect much better. At this point, I do not plan to return, though I would reconsider if I hear of improvements. read more

I was staying at a hotel in the area and just couldn't do another night of bland room service - it was Sunday night so options were limited. I saw this spot on Yelp and love falafel so gave it a shot. I was glad I did - and I'm still so full!!! Because I don't get Middle Eastern food that often I splurged on a lamb gyro wrap, a Greek salad and the falafel appetizer plate. The portions are huge! I was around the area and saw this place. I thought I would give it a try since it wasn't busy. I went in and there was one person inside eating. So I figured it would be quick and easy lunch. I ordered the food came at a reasonable time. The food was freshly cooked. It was also a big portion which I took out to go with me since I has so much left overs. Really wonderful restaurant with delicious, fresh food and good service! We walked in on a Sunday night and were able to be quickly seated without a reservation. They were playing lively music and had nice decor. Their feta cheese rolls were simple but piping hot and crispy. The döner dinner platter was reasonably shared between two with a variety of meats, carbs, and vegetables. Finally, the highlight was the super crispy and warm kunefe with milky ice cream. However, I was extremely disappointed by the doner itself. The doner had little to no flavor and was quite dry! Although the wrap came with two sauces, they did not add much flavor or spice. One of the best Turkish food in town! It's right outside TD garden! So super convenient to get to. I wanted to try a little bit of everything so I got the Boston mix grill. The portion is is HUGE! The kebab and Döner are perfectly seasoned! Not like a salt dump like other places. And the meat are juicy and tender. It comes with chicken, sliced meat (Döner/ gyro), adana kebab (long ground lamb kebab), chicken and beef shish (chicken and beef cube), Köfte ( round ground meat balls). Everything is good! High quality food and friendly staff. I arrived to pick up some dinner entrees for my family but reached early, and they let me sit while waiting. We tried the chicken adana, lamb doner, lahmucun (turkish pizza), and kunefe. They were very honest too and advised the kunefe will not be good reheated but I still got it, scraped off the pistachios so they wouldn't burn and toasted it for 5 minutes to re-crisp. The kebabs were tender, the bulgar and rice were well seasoned and tasty, and the salads were good. I wish they put the dressing on the side as the leaves got a bit soggy by the time I got to eat the food. The food was well portioned and reasonably priced. ABSOLUTELY THE BEST FOOD. Service great. Very warm people and it's easy walk from anywhere. We walked 20 minutes in the rain to come eat here and worth every second of that long walk.
