Wow, unparalleled service - in a very bad way. We visited for brunch on a weekend and it was predictably busy. We expected to wait, we even expected stressed out staff. We did not expect outright rudeness. The older man who came to take our name was so rude we almost left right then. I wish we would have, because the food was nothing to get excited about. The only thing this place has going for it is location if you happen to be in this area. I would never go back myself, I'd rather do an egg mcmuffin and get on with my day. read more

We were looking for a local breakfast spot on the way home from Viejas casino. Luckily I stumbled on Cafe 67 in my search. It was a bit out of our way home but glad we stopped. It's older place in small town. Service was awesome and all our food was delicious. Portion sizes were shareable imo. They also had a homemade salsa that was very good to put on the home potatoes! This is a great little spot right off the 67 highway. I came here with my husband one day as we were passing through town and we were really happy we did. When we walked in all the waitress greeted us with warm good mornings. There's absolutely nothing better than when the staff acknowledges you like that. They sat us down right away and our waitress was super nice, very polite, and happy. I ordered the country fried stake and potato pancakes, my husband ordered the chorizo breakfast scramble and the portions were huuuge! Definitely well worth the price!! The food was so good and fresh. Overall it was just an amazing experience. Y'all need to come stop by. read more

If you are planning to go here on the weekend I would make a reservation a day in advance otherwise you will be waiting a while as it is one of the most popular places in east county. If you're looking for a plate loaded with food, then, this place is for you. (I particularly refrain from posting terrible reviews but I have to this time). I ordered a veggie Omelet, and the Omelet took half of a dinner plate. The Omelet was loaded with cheese, which made the Omelet greasy. Also, it was loaded with, spinach, mushrooms, tomatoes, onions, and sadly the avocado was passed ripe (the avocado was brown). Cafe 67 is a great place to grab breakfast when you are in the area. It is usually busy, but I don't ever remember having to wait long. I usually order an omelet or pancakes. My friend likes going for lunch. She gets one of the salads. Service is good. read more

Sunday after church I introduced have a 67 to my new friend. She absolutely loved their French dip. I had the pastrami sandwich with lettuce. It also comes with a bowl of soup. Santa Claus was there and we got to pick what we want for Christmas. The waitresses are always upbeat and fun. It's a great atmosphere. read more

I've never had a bad meal here, and I've tried a few different options. From a giant plate of macaroni and cheese with ham chunks to eggs benedict to good old fashioned pancakes. It's always been good. The parking lot is very small and cramped, and the inside of the restaurant is just as small... although there is a giant room off to the right. I wonder if they fill that room inside where did everybody park? My advice is get here early, or you might miss out. I always forget that they have an early bird special, weekdays from 6-8AM. If I can get up early enough, maybe I'll take advantage of that, and review it separately. The prices seem about the same as everywhere else, apart from if you wanna add a little item on the side. I'd think a side of hash browns should be maybe $1.50 or 2 bucks... I mean it's warmed potatoes, basically..but alas it'll cost you twice that. The menu is large and varied enough, everyone should be able to find something they like. I often debate between breakfast and lunch. I find it odd they serve dinner-type meals (meatloaf) and desert (brownies and sundaes) yet the place isn't open past 3:00pm. So dinner and dessert for breakfast, I guess?! Very interesting hook there! The decor is classic, can't go wrong with vintage Americana, and the service has always been nice and pleasant. I don't know why the wife and I don't come here more often. We seem to have this ambiguous notion that breakfast here is expensive, but IDK seems the same as anywhere else, cost-wise. We will have to give this place a second, third, and fourth look. read more

We went for the local spot and yummy! Away from our home in Los Angeles and we needed to grub. Service for 4, we were greeted with smiling faces and seated immediately! Drink orders were taken within seconds and the waitress came by the introduce herself. So many choices we decided on #2, #1with chicken fried steak and" the spanky" kids breakfast... I didn't keep track but the food came out very shortly after we ordered it. Seasoned just right. The home potatos and the potato pancake were awesome, the food was hot and fresh and the coffee was not to bold but hot. Portions are pretty big so bring your appetite! Wow! This place continues to impress! The food is excellent with many favorites but also generous portions so plan for a to-go box! We usually get Chicken Fried Steak which is the best plate we've ever had. Service is great with many waitresses taking care of our needs. I've gone to The Grill at Willowbrook for years until they turned us away for having 6 people! They refused to put two tables together. And the place was almost empty! We're thankful that Cafe 67 can handle it! read more

Today we decided to try a new restaurant for breakfast, Cafe 67 was our choice after a friend made a recommendation. The place was warm and cozy on this cold morning . Waited only a few minutes before we were seated. Lots of wonderful choices to select from the menu and as the waitresses walked back and forth with the orders there would be No Wrong Choice, steam coming off the large pancakes, big servings of potatoes and they use large eggs. The biscuits and gravy are a must. I was not dissatisfied with my blueberry pancakes/eggs/hash browns. I fact there were excellent. I went here for the first time with my fam this morning. This restaurant is in Lakeside, and the patrons all seemed like locals. I've lived in East County for almost 5 years, and I don't think I'll ever get used to it. It = all things redneck. I saw a dude hop out of a giant dualie truck (which he parked backwards) wearing a cowboy hat and one of those huge belt buckles. You can judge a good breakfast place by the average weight and age of the people inside. Big/old people know a good breakfast. This place was really good. The decor was 50s/60s memorabilia and they had oldies music playing. They had a big menu for adults and kids. I got the Ultimate French Toast, which I thought was a little dry. My husband got the Club 67, which was a sandwich so massive the waitress offered to bring out another plate. The kids split the "Spanky" which was two big fluffy pancakes, eggs, and a piece of bacon. It was enough food for an adult. The waitress was attentive. The service was fast. The food was good. I can't wait to try something else. Check out the pics I posted. read more
