Took Dad and wife to breakfast this morning to Off the 8 Cafe. Dad had not been here before today. He was amazed. He had the pork chops and eggs and was pleased he could not finish he got so much food. The service was over the top. And the ambiance is very simple and enjoyable. If you want a simple place to eat and be able to enjoy a breakfast or lunch give them a try. They are quick to serve and quick to bring your food and accurate.

We've been in here many times and the food is 100% good. We split a hamburger and french fries. The service from Lexi was amazing. The ambience is very clean.

Ordered the pancakes instead of toast and they were also sooooo good

We were traveling through and fortunately stumbled across the Off the 8 Cafe. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was so great. Every staff person was so friendly. The menu is great with lots of choices for everyone. We chose to sit inside, but they also have a lovely patio. My husband LOVED the extra large coffee cups I chose the Mae your own omelet and my husband had the chicken fried steak and eggs. Both of our meals were delicious. We would definitely recommend and will stop by again when in the area

FOOD: We had the Patty Melt. It was very good, though I was not thrilled with the French Fries. SERVICE: Very Good. We had a very friendly server, who was fast and efficient. AMBIANCE: Nice. The place was quiet, with two opposite facing televisions on a non-political station, so anyone seated could see (but not hear) the televisions. PRICE: Not Good. Our Patty Melts, which were basically cheeseburgers on slices from a loaf of bread, were $17.45 and only included French Fries. The the meals were very good, however what we received did not justify the price. A similar meal at, say In-N-Out, would cost under $10 per person, include a drink, and there would be no expectation of a tip, saving nearly half the cost. To add insult to this financial injury, they added a 3.00% "Credit card surcharge" of $1.13. So, for two burger and fries combination plates with water to drink, we were out the door for $45.73, including tax and tip. Just not worth it.

Always really great service and the food comes quick. Simple menu. Both breakfast and lunch are great. The club sandwich or chicken wraps are amazing.

They have a smaller room with retro decor. Our waiter was Omar. He was very helpful and friendly We ordered a mushroom and ham only that came with 2 small blue berry waffles to split. The portions are huge. It came with a side of breakfast potatoes that were the best I've ever had. I'm not a big fan of breakfast potatoes but these were amazing. The blueberry waffles were also really good The omelette was a little watery, but the flavor was good and had lots of mushrooms. We both got iced tea and it tasted fresh brewed. The decor is super cute with lots of Easter decor everywhere. The food was good and responsibly priced We also ordered food to take home for dinner. My friend ordered our exact meal again. It was that good. I got the mile high club. The portions were huge. Lots of bacon and turkey, but could've used a bit more sauce. Came with a pickle.

Once the music got set up on the patio, it was so loud, you couldn't talk with anyone at the table. not a nice way to spend a relaxing afternoon with friends. but ok, we moved inside. The music, by the way, was excellent. So it's not that. Inside we had a server who seemed new or not very well trained. For a place that serves breakfast and lunch, it was odd that at 10 minutes before noon, we still could not order "lunch" items. but ok - pivot to breakfast. we placed drink orders and food. What came out was disappointing. we asked if the bottomless mimosas could have a little cranberry juice added. Server said not problem. What came out were cranberry mimosas, no orange juice in sight. when food came out, it left a lot to be desired. The avocado toast order was awful. plain white, grocery bread barely toasted with an avocado smash (container spread from the store or costco?) and dried grated parmesan cheese (like from the plastic container in the grocer) not as advertised and definitely not what one expects for this dish. The side of bacon was forgotten. The eggs benedict looked ok however the hollandaise sauce was barely existent and what was there was split. Making it barely edible. The other breakfast dishes were just ok. Biscuits and gravy looked good. lots of it and chunky. scrambled eggs and hashbrowns are hard to mess up. But for one person, the hashbrowns were pretty much cooked to a crisp and a lot of grease on the plate. that person left those to the bin. And had a hair on the plate. We had to ask for the bottomless mimosa to be refilled. The server took the glasses, and when they came back, one was orange, one was cranberry and THE GLASSES WERE REUSED! Unacceptable!! if the server didn't know, the bartender should know NOT to reuse glasses. Even if it is our own glasses, you don't reuse them. If you want music, average food, and drinks - this will be ok. The band was really good. The food experience was dreadful.

Share an appetizer- we picked passion fruit shrimp cocktail which was 8 large poached shrimp with a passion fruit forward cocktail sauce and a charred lemon. The shrimp were cooked perfectly and the charred lemon added a nice touch. We each picked an entree of the 2 offered - Ginger Glazed Wild Salmon and Grilled ribeye. The salmon was on top of couscous with baby grilled zucchini. The salmon had crispy skin and was fork tender just flaked right off and was very flavorful. The rib eye was grilled medium and covered in a peppercorn demi gravy that was so luxurious. I was half tempted to lick the plate. The pesto baby golden potatoes were like individual servings of mashed potatoes which paired nicely with the rib eye and charred asparagus. Share the dessert - Raspberry Chocolate Bombe- was expecting more chocolate than the 2 small heart shaped cookies which did not have a forward chocolate taste but more of a sugar cookie feel. The "bombe" was Raspberry ish mousse covered in a firm Raspberry jelly on top of a thin butter wafer/cookie with fresh strawberries and blueberries which were tossed in sugar. Every course was brought out timely and the presentation of each dish was exquisite. Everything was well seasoned and the appropriate temperature right down to the chilled plate and spoons for dessert. Plenty of seating and service was impeccable. Definitely will be returning WITH RESERVATIONS lesson learned.

She recommended the bloody Mary flight so did grab that to try! We also ordered the biscuits and gravy to share and orange juice. The portions are so large! So I am glad we decided to share the biscuits and gravy but let me run down each thing. Bloody Mary Flight: Honestly every single one was amazing. My favorite was definitely the pickle Mary! Everything tasted so delicious and was garnished beautifully. Well worth the 22 dollars. Biscuits and Gravy: Absolute perfection of comfort food. The biscuits were so fluffy and well seasoned. The gravy was also soooo good, just like my mom makes. The sausage in it was also cooked so well and juicy. I've never tried mashed potatoes with the biscuits and gravy but it worked very well! "Over medium" eggs came barely cooked, still had clear egg gel floating around. The table next to us had the same issue. The fried chicken, which is beautiful looking, was strangely flavorless. Another table was also talking about this issue. Bacon was way overcooked as well. I also really dislike when food timing for a table is way off. I rather it stay in the kitchen under a heat lamp and come together rather that spend 5 minutes staring at my food being polite. So, for a fun "wow that's a ton of food" experience this is it. But I much prefer quality ingredients and attention to detail and flavor over unfinishable portions at a premium price point ($100 after tip for 2 ppl).
