We've heard so many great reviews- but, this is what my belly needed! Rode out here and got the sliced rye Boss sandwich (you can also get sandwiches served on a 9in roll). The mound of thinly sliced deli meats ( pepperoni, Genoa salami, & Black Forest ham) are perfectly stacked with provolone cheese and banana peppers. If you want The Works- shredded lettuce, onions, tomatoes, black pepper & salt. Easy in the vinaigrette dressing and bread coated with mayo & mustard. I didn't leave a crumb in sight. And I made it a combo w/ some dill pickle Kettle chips and a fountain drink! The young fella behind the counter was friendly, chatted with us before he made our orders. The sandwich was well made and condiments were just right. The deli was new , menu large and a big selection of bottled drinks and a Stubborn fountain for delicious sodas. If i could i would leave Pitstop Deli 10 stars... I stopped by today out of curiosity for lunch. I have been coming to work out in Campo for almost a month and every other day i fill up my gas tank i see it but never have gone in. Well am i glad i went in today. I ordered a chicken pesto sandwich on a french roll and it was AMAZING!!! This sandwich was HUGE! The flavors were on point, it was toasted well and very very fairly priced. I did eat the whole thing hut i should have only eaten half hahah. The workers were very friendly and quick with the orders. From what i heard it used to be a subway. Well im glad its not anymore. Very nice clean shop with a good selection of beverages and chips. The menu is not too large and will cover your breakfast and lunch cravings. Definitely need to come again to try the breakfast or acai bowls next time im in town. read more

Worth the drive from Descanso area to Campo, and with the ambiance that included both the Sheriffs dept and the Border Patrol how could you not feel like you were in the right place. Been here 4 times already, each time the sandwiches were tasty, fresh and well made. Always happy with my visit. This deli is a great place to stop after a long motorcycle ride or drive, get gas at the Sinclair station in the same location. There is only one other deli in the area, and this one is just as high quality but a bit more affordable. Only negative I can think of is they don't serve fried items like French fries, but the large sandwich variety and good mix of fountain drinks and chips makes up for it. Nice clean location, great service, tasty food, TV always on showing a movie and nice restroom open to the public, what else can you ask for? read more
