Great pastries and quiches.
Cindy L.

We stopped here for lunch after snow tubing most of the morning and I'm glad we did, this place is locally owned and so cute. I loved all the pastries options and even all the coffee and latte flavors, I couldn't decide. The kids enjoyed their hot chocolates and loved the pastries. After grabbing a seat here and enjoying our lunch, we drove home with our bellies full and happy. Such a great-no-frills-mom-and-pop place to grab a bite to eat.

Service good, food OK, prices High. We came from Julian to try this place and it was just OK. The baked goods we got were good but not mind blowing, and the selection was above average. The prices for drinks were high to begin with, but when we asked for an iced latte upgraded to half and half (Breve), we were told it would be extra. Shame on us for not asking how much. A 24 ounce latte with regular milk was $6.95. The upgrade to Breve was an extra $4.00!!! For a grand total of $11.80 with a flavor shot!!! Not sure what they are thinking, but we will probably just hit up Dudley's next time we want some pastries and coffee.

I've had this bakery on my must check out list for a year .I was very happy and curious to finally check them out . I will say I was quite surprised at the higher than usual prices they have . The reason you will want to come here is for their croissants . They are four dollars each, however, if you close your eyes, you think you're eating it in France.

Minions decor...

Once in a while, I have an experience when I instantly felt a connection to a place or business. This was one of those times. This mom-and-pop shop is incredible! Emily, who greeted and helped me, has the most adorable person with a lively and happy presence. She told me that she is the daughter of the owner/baker, "Louie." He's French, and I can't pronounce his actual name (ha ha). Her mom, Heather, helps with the front of the house. One of our new friends gifted us a loaf of sourdough bread, and it tasted homemade and was delicious so we thought it was hand made by our new friend. Emily proudly informed me that the country sourdough is from her starter, which is nine years old. That said, the traditional sourdough is made by her dad, whose starter is 30 years old! Amazing! The kicker is some of the decor - Minions! And who likes them? Louie! My 82-year old mom is head over heels for those crazy Minions too!. Yep, this will definitely become a regular stop for us. We're looking forward to trying some of their other crea

Love supporting local businesses, really nice ambiance with plenty of seating. The staff was very friendly As soon as you walk in your hit with wonderful bakery aroma. The pastries are very large, cinnamon roll was larger than my hand. Tried the blueberry muffin, was ok. The macaroons looked delicious but on pricey side so didn't get those. Drink wise tried out the winter special peppermint patty cold brew. Was a little heavy on chocolate side for my taste but overall pretty good.

Stopped by here while on a getaway to the mountains. It's a perfectly quaint little town bakery with some AMAZING baked goods. They have sweet and savory options, get here early as they sell out of some. The croissant I had was absolute perfection. It was so hard to choose which one to get. The macaroons were super flavorful and perfect texture. The best part is they are so sweet to the pups. They had treats for her and welcomed her in. So helpful and friendly!

Pear almond croissant in a bag. Amazing

My favorite flavor combo is almond and pear and I have been chasing a pear almond pastry I had about 25 years ago in San Diego. I recently started working in Alpine and had heard many people talk about CroBean so I was early one day and decided to give it a try. When I saw the pear almond croissant in the case I didn't need to look any further. I selected that and their Mexican mocha. Both were excellent. They have a beautiful huge selection of colorful macrons. I'm thinking about heading over in a minute to get something for my mom.

Housemade bagels, jalapeño cheese, and everything bagel .

Fast service, extremely friendly, and so many choices to make. We ended up getting the bagels to eat there which we enjoyed outside watching the world go by and we got a chocolate croissant and apple turnover to take home.. we also got a loaf of gruyere and green onion sourdough! We will definitely be back for their fresh brew, coffee, and more yummy pastries

Omg!! The best quiche I've ever had!!! Lots of yummy cheese!! The chocolate chip cookie is massive and heavy. I put it in the microwave for a few minutes and it is so good. Plus a cup of coffee and its perfection. The service is excellence!! They are family owned and super friendly. The place and music sound like you are in a cafe in Paris. Very cute! We literally tried everything, and it was really good! The baker makes the dough fresh every single day. Huge selections of macaroons!! I will be back to try more!!

This is at the top of the mountain. but I promise you won't be disappointed when you show up to the CroBean

Hidden gem , I must say I you probably won't have a bad experience here. The food is beyond what you could ever imagine so perfect French bakery with their own flare. Service is 10 out of 10 the ambience is in a quiet, quaint little city of Alpine hidden gem as I said. My friends and I typically hike Mount Viejas to watch the sunrise on Sundays and then this is where we stop after cheers FYI, the mimosas are amazing

Stopped by here on the way to Viejas and super happy we did! Everyone that worked here was splendid. Didn't have coffee so this is just a review of the tasty treats! Everything is dough-y and bread-y so get ready for that (in a good way!). Ie the croissant is less flaky more thick which was tasty. The ham and cheese croissant: just like a croque madam! The sauce on this was insanely good! Everything bagel: nice and thick! The seasoning was splendid. We also had a flaky croissant mixed with a sweet bun. They only make this on weekends. Get it! Wont be disappointed! With that said it is very sugary so get something by else to counteract that. Cookies: if you like thick and chewy/soft cookies these are for you! Honestly some of the best snickerdoodles I've ever had! Rosemary olive oil bread: they make their own bread here! Precut too! This was amazing throughout the week after we got it with jam and for sandwiches. All in all will definitely be returning! Parking lot attached and very easy.

Ice tea tasted days old. Coffee was mediocre at best. For the price, should be the best around. Definitely recommend Adesso over this spot.

My friend is a vegetarian so she was going to order the veggie Caesar wrap as she loves Caesar dressing and the lettuce and croutons. Will they told her it comes with peppers and carrots and mushrooms and no lettuce. And she was like what I want a Caesar wrap but just no chicken. I know like yeah it still doesn't come with lettuce. That makes zero sense. So then I go to order as we were at the machines so only one of us would go at a time. And I order the veggie bean and rice burrito and I asked what veggies come in there and again it's peppers and mushrooms and carrots and stuff like that I'm like no thanks can I just have a bean and rice burrito which is a very common burrito. And also cheese mind you. And they're like okay and I'll show you what I got in the pictures. Oh also it was black beans in it and it should be pinto beans for a burrito. I should have taken it back but I was honestly starving and I Just started eating. so thanks for the six beans. Definitely not worth ten dollars. It was absolutely disgusting. So someone in that kitchen needs to figure out how to do a chicken Caesar wrap with no chicken. It's not difficult it's lettuce seizure dressing and croutons in a wrap. You don't need the croutons actually. And figure out a bean and rice burrito. So if you're a vegetarian apparently don't go here because they don't know how to make food for you.
