I'm not sure if I don't know the right stuff to get or I'm just not the target customer, but I thought the pan dulche was a bit dry. It's an awesome experience being there and looking at everything, but the actual part of eating the bread was whatevers.

Was super excited to check that place out. A lot of choices but expensive and the flavor is lacking. Price of their cookies was similar to what I can get in Mexican store in San Diego.

Love, love, love the smell of fresh Mexican panaderías. This place is a staple in Tecate and now I understand why. They have so many types of pan dulce, I was a bit overwhelmed having to narrow my choices....there are Racks and aisles full of them! You will definitely get more than one bread. If you're heading to la ruta del vino, this is a great pit stop. They also have a large parking lot in the back.

The best bread in Tecate! (so the sign says). This place has pretty good sweet Mexican bread if you're ever in the area and want to take back some snacks for the ride home! All the bread appears fresh and if you choose right you can get sweet crunchy bread from the Mexico. Brought some back on my rides from Mexico and we all enjoyed it during the week.

    Yeah, more cookies & muffins

If you like pan dulce or fresh baked bread or cakes or pies or cookies, this is the place you want to stop at. Hundreds of scrumptious options. Everything we've tried has been absolutely delicious. Fresh & high quality. Quite economical. We typically buy a decent large sized bag of yummy treats & spend less than $20 US. There is always a line, but it moves quickly thanks to the barrage of registers to help customers check out. The racks of pan dulce are literally taller than I am. (I'm 5' 5"!) As you enter the shop, grab a tray (or two), tongs & wander the aisles selecting delectable delights from the stacks & stacks of goodies available daily. Breads offered include uncut loaves, tortillas, buns, rolls, bolillo, torta, French & Greek bread & much, much more. Ample parking in the lot out back. Easy to find location just across the border.

En el nombre lleva la fama. Muy buen pan pero hay que tener paciencia porque se hacen filas largas.

We were not disappointed at all. Upon arriving, there was a musician playing, and they did seat us off to the right so we could not see but could hear still. There is outdoor and indoor seating, but at the time we came it appeared that the outdoor was reserved for an event. We happily sat inside! Having met Jeremy's parents earlier in the day who also recommended his restaurant, and they were just lovely, we had hoped to possibly meet Jeremy too. I wanted to try everything, but we opt on getting a few dishes to share. Our son ordered the filet mignon and they were able to substitute mashed potatoes for fries. Amazing!! The mac & brisket appetizer appeared to be the highlight and specialty and we just had to order it. Every bite was cheeesy and delicious with the brisket very moist. We couldn't go without ordering the Brussels sprouts and it had a twist with ponzu sauce and pineapple. Definitely a different take and I thoroughly enjoyed the taste. Every bite was foodgasmic and I highly recommend!!! I knew coming here that some Yelpers have experienced wavering in quality, so glad we did not experience that at all. As of the date that we came, we understood that the restaurant had been listed for sale, not sure if Jeremy sold it yet or not. I hope not, we plan on coming back this summer!

Unfortunately we have had to go visit more often over the past two weeks than we have liked but the staff has kept us at ease and made us feel comfortable. The hospital rooms were nice and fully updated with the newest technology (even a bed that will warn the staff when the patient gets up), ER has been extremely busy but the staff does their best to get you in and out as quickly as possible, and the urgent care is the same. This location has an extensive break room vending machine with a wide variety of drinks, snacks, and food options and they are very reasonably priced too. They also have a very nice cafeteria but it is only open during certain times throughout the day. Parking can be tough during the day but there are options (like free valet if you need).
