I love this place! It's a go to in TJ. The food is delicious, they have the best crepe cakes and desserts, they have coffees and teas, and different kinds of treats. I just wish they had any gluten free choices for my kid. The ambiance is nice and relaxing. I love that they have a home kitty :). Its nicely decorated, enough to be cute for Instagram. The staff is kind and courteous. The only issue is there isnt a ton of parking and its street parking, but depending on the time of day the street next to it is pretty empty. Great Service Visited Fika Café on a Saturday for brunch and we were seated right away. We started with a green juice and the golden goddess, both which were very refreshing. I ordered the chipotle chilaquiles that came with potatoes on the side and I added an egg. I loveee some good chipotle chilaquiles, but these lacked a bit of flavor. They were good, but a pinch of salt would've made them great. I will say portions are nice and are very filling. Overall, it is a cute little restaurant and I would try it again. They have desserts that looked incredible, but I didn't get a change to try them because I was so full (definitely leaving room next time). I visited this place a year ago for dessert to go and returned today for a sit down lunch. The place is so cute and clean, with a floral flair and cozy feel, even in the patio area. I was too late to order from the breakfast menu (available until 1 pm), so I opted for a sandwich. They also had pastas available, but pasta is such a cheap and easy dish to make at home, I seldom order it in restaurants. Everything about my ham and cheese sandwich was fresh, fresh, fresh. I don't like cilantro, so I asked for them to hold it and add tomato, both requests which were honored. The side salad was tasty, too, with salad dressing so good that I asked for more! I was not a huge fan of their crepe cake from my first visit (I much prefer Barbas on Cuahtemoc Blvd), so I skipped dessert and just ordered a cherrychoco mocha. Without my even having to ask, the server offered a milk alternative, which I was grateful for. The almond milk cherry mocha was beautifully presented, and had a subtle flavor. If I return, I would like to try another of their hot drinks. Like other reviewers, I was very pleased with the service. The servers on the day that I visited were all quite young, but without exception had a well-trained, friendly and helpful orientation towards guests that truly enhanced the experience. read more
