Super dope speakeasy tucked in the UTC. Went on a Friday night and waited about 15 to 20 minutes to enter. Thought this was reasonable considering that we did not have a reservation and it was a Friday night. Very unassuming from the outside, but was thrilled by how it looked inside. Bar is harry-potter esque under a dome shaped ambiance. The drinks weren't anything special in my opinion. As the night went on, I saw that the bar area was pretty empty, so I asked our bartender as well as two other people if we could sit at the bar. It took about 20 minutes for us to get a response to see whether or not we could sit there. Overall, the spot is worth it to check out if you're in San Diego.

Raised by wolves is such a cool experience! I love the vibe they have going on, lots of cool photo opportunities. The service is okay but drinks are so expensive. Overall a great experience!

Very cool speakeasy bar @ the UTC. Would highly recommend reservations, not sure what the wait would've been if we didn't have a reservation. We still had to wait about approximately 15-20 minutes with a reservation. Got seated at the bar and service was solid, bartender was attentive. Cocktails are $$$, what I would expect for a bar in San Diego. You're paying for the experience. The drinks are good though! Bartender made good suggestions. Would recommend!

If you're looking for a fun speakeasy with creative drinks, then you have just found your spot! Or.. if you happen to be at the mall at 10 PM when everything else is closed, this is the spot to go to. Upon entering, you are greeted by a receptionist, who guides you to sit on one of 2 chairs next to a fireplace. Then, the walk starts moving and you enter the speakeasy! I came on a Monday evening and it was still quite lively for a weekday evening. I decided to order a Banana Cream Flip, and boy, it was delicious! The banana cream is really the star of the drink and its flavor balance out the spirit. The ambiance in here is absolutely phenomenal. Perfect for a date night or a fun night with friends. Next time I am in the area, I'll be sure to be back!

Really cool bar experience!! You sit on a rotating door to enter the bar. The interior gives speakeasy vibes. The drinks were delicious and very unique. Nice place to visit if you're in the area! We came on a Saturday right when they opened at 3pm and they were able to accommodate our party of 6 without a reservation. Super nice!!

If you love a good speakeasy this is the place to go! From the outside, it looks like a charming little bourbon shop. Nothing too flashy. But once you step inside, the magic begins. The host has you sit in two cozy chairs by a warm, working fireplace. Then you press a button... and the entire wall rotates. Just like that, you're transported into a completely different world. The main focal point is this stunning round bar with a water fountain flowing right in the center. It feels theatrical and intimate all at once. The bartenders are dressed to impress polished, stylish, completely on theme. We were seated at a small table where the little lamps can be adjusted for brightness. I ordered The First Course (a vodka-based drink with goat cheese and balsamic notes). I know it sounds strange. But I love that sweet-and-savory combo, and somehow it worked beautifully. It was creative, unexpected, and honestly fantastic. We also ordered the Island Old Fashioned, which was incredibly smooth with just the right hint of tropical warmth and banana flavor. It was the perfect start to celebrating 10 years romantic, unique, and a little adventurous... just like us.

HUGE shout out to Eva and Ruben! Will be back because of their stellar service! Such a cool spot! Revolving fireplace door, circular bar, wolves and lions?! Oh my. Gorgeous decor. Cool bathrooms, music and dim lights. Such a vibe! Come for date night, girls night or to try your next favorite drink. Such a unique special place. Thank you!

    Beautiful ceiling and interior.

This is a stunningly gorgeous bar. And it is located in a shopping mall. I recommend you make a reservation because it gets very busy. The lobby is open to the public for browsing but bring your wallet. It is loaded with many, many booze bottles and very cool bartender type paraphernalia, all for sale. The bottle prices were not all that bad, actually. The "entrance" to the bar itself is gimmicky but fun. I don't think I am spilling any secrets when I disclose that you sit on the chairs near the roaring (fake) fireplace and the wall swivels and you ride into the bar. A host then takes you to your seats. I always prefer sitting at the bar for the best interaction with the bartenders and, fortunately, that is where we were seated. I suppose a bar with a fun and somewhat silly entrance, along with amazing decor, could get by, at least for a time, on its looks. But the drinks here are no joke and the bartenders are top notch. They taste the drinks before they are served (with a straw, of course). They are knowledgeable about what they are serving. Ask them questions. Tell them what you like. We tried three drinks, one alcoholic, and two non-alcoholic, and they were all very good. For the life of me, I cannot remember the name of the boozy drink I ordered (and it is not on their online menu) but it was like an elevated Manhattan. It was an absolute delicious knockout. The Enchanted Tiki is basically a non-alcoholic Pina Colada. It was delicious and served its purpose but was not otherwise all that interesting. The non-alcoholic Time of the Season was very nice. It was complex and had great flavors of cardamom, tea, and citrus. My only knock is that there is no food here at all. It is hard to linger, especially with some of the boozier drinks, without some kind of a small snack. Even if they gave every table a cup of nuts, it would be something. I think they limit your stay to 90 minutes so maybe they do not want you to linger. Still, a couple of almonds would be nice. They also offer beer and wine but with cocktails this interesting and made this well, I think ordering the Champagne of Beers would be a huge missed opportunity. If I lived closer, I could see myself coming here more often to sample different drinks off their very interesting menu. This is an excellent bar and well worth visiting. No kids allowed and good luck with parking. You have to park in the mall garage or in the open lot. I believe the first two hours are free so that should get you in and out without paying.

Great place and even better cocktails. Had a reservation and were seated and served fast. Drinks came out quickly. They have an excellent selection of mocktails too for those who don't drink. It can get a little loud at times. Our waitress was attentive at first then sort of went MIA on us. Regardless, has a great time.

I really wanted to like RBW as I made my entire day trip to San Diego around my reservations here. First of all, it's located at UTC --an outdoor mall with paid parking by the hour (your first two hours are free). I had reservations at 4:30pm and checked in early, but seated until 5pm. While waiting, everyone is just crowded in the waiting room as each party is called up to sit on the chairs to turn you into the other side of the bar. The concept, atmosphere, and design of this place is fantastic --we absolutely loved that. Unfortunately, the waiting and drinks took the fun out of it. Once inside, we had a table on the side. I'd recommend a table over bar seats here so you get a cozier vibe while admiring all the details of this bar. I ordered the Tea House Highball ($19) while the husband got the Tiramisu 'Tini ($18). I thought the cocktails were just ok --I finished them just because I can't let alcohol go to waste. Since our parking was paid by the hour, we were in a bit of a rush to get back in time. After getting our drinks, we waited another 10 minutes or so with no one coming to check on us. When the waiter checked in on the table next to us, he turned the different direction so fast that I couldn't even get his attention. It took so long that I ended up walking up to the waiter myself to ask for the check, so we could hurry and leave. Unfortunately, we missed our parking by a few minutes and had to pay for an extra hour. I really like the concept and vibe of this speakeasy bar, but the wait times and drinks were a bit of a letdown.

Beautiful ambiance!!!! The interior was so so stunning, dim, and sexy. Even the bathrooms were gorgeous haha. The entrance is a cute novelty but a little bit of a slow bumpy ride... maybe it's time for some maintenance. The drinks we ordered were pretty strong, they have lots of different interesting and unique cocktails, when they're good they're GOOD! but not all of the drinks were winners for us. Pretty pricey as they were around $20 a drink. Staff was knowledgeable and prompt. Busy even on a monday night! Make sure you reserve. Closest parking is in the mall garages, first 2 hours free.

Absolutely gorgeous cocktail bar. The decor, the antiques, the details are all curated wonderfully. Defffffinitely recommend a reservation, although walk-ins are allowed. We got one of their old fashioned's and there were various layers of flavors that came together deliciously. We'd absolutely order them again. After ordering, it did take about twenty minutes to receive our drinks, but it was busy so we understood. Highly recommend if you have some patience & time to wait-- just being in the atmosphere was enough to enjoy the experience!

Nifty speakeasy! Very popular--we arrived 30 min after opening and still waited 30. Drinks were well made and explained, just not my palate. Great ambiance. I'd come back if invited and recommend going at least once.

I was really impressed that u had a place to set my feet on because I'm very short and normally have a hard time with regular bar seats. There are a lot of cute touches like that. Hooks to hold your purse, etc. I was loving the soulful music which I thought was from a playlist so I used Shazam in order to capture the song. However, the music started to sound live so I walked around...only to find it was coming from a very talented woman named Marianne across the bar. Service was friendly, but we both noticed other tables were a bit ignored or slow to be served. We ordered a few margaritas. Cesar salad with chicken and the lobster arrabbiata with table-side Parmesan. The food was great. I'm not a big focaccia lover but there's was the best I've ever had. It was warm, light, airy, fluffy, and came with this amazing butter AND olive oil, balsamic rosemary. We used the bread to dip into the leftover pasta sauce. We ordered margaritas. I would definitely recommend the blood orange drink they have on the menu. Shout out to Morgan, who was an amazing server and Marianne whose live music changed my whole mood. Our waitress was nice but could have checked in a bit more. We started with the complimentary salsa and chips. The salsa is spicy. Too spicy for us. But the chips were good. We ordered the guacamole to go with the chips. It was good, but definitely needed more salt and lime. May ask for salt on the table once we did that it was fine. She ordered the taco, enchilada, chili rellenos. The portion was large. It came with beans and rice. What I love is the taco comes on a separate plate so it doesn't get soggy from the enchilada sauce. She enjoyed everything, but was unable to finish the entire meal because it was so large. I ordered the fillet and shrimp. The fillet was the most tender cut of meat I've ever had in my life. I could cut it with a fork. They had a nice crust on the outside with good seasoning. The shrimp were a little undercooked, but the sauce was good. It comes with a side of plain rice, which I felt could've been seasoned a little better. Since it was her birthday, they brought a complementary scoop of ice cream, which I thought was very nice. For drinks, she had a beer and I had a virgin margarita which really just tasted like a limeade. With tipped the bill came over $200. Not something that I would do every weekend, but definitely felt festive.

The spirit free drinks were surprisingly expensive, with some being $14. My server, Tony, was helpful and the food came out relatively quickly. However, everyone seemed to disappear toward the end of my meal. *Lilac Fizz: a refreshing combination of lavender, lemon, and soda. This was bright and tart, although the lavender was subtle. A bit more lavender syrup would have made it feel more spring esque. *Skirt Steak Chimichurri: came with a side of broccolini and either fingerling potatoes or fries. Tony recommended the fries, and they came with a side of kalamata aioli. The fries were a tad limp but salted well. The broccolini was a bit underdone, but similarly salty. The most notable flavor came from the kalamata aioli, with pronounced acidity. I ordered the steak medium rare and it was perfectly cooked. It was juicy and pink throughout. However, it was very bland. The chimichurri tasted like almost nothing, which was a shame given that the skirt steak itself wasn't seasoned much at all. My companion ordered the salad and while the greens were piled high, the roasted chicken was skimped on despite being $21. Overall, the flavors needed to be more concentrated and distinct. Especially for the higher prices, I expected better ingredient quality. I guess it isn't a bad place to eat if you're shopping on the top floor of Nordstrom, but I wouldn't go out of my way to eat here when there are better options at UTC.
