A bakery located near our hotel. We stopped by and had to wait in line since they only allow a few people in the shop at a time. Prices are pretty good, about 12 to 20 pesos each. I got a jelly roll and a few other items to try. I wish they had better descriptions of what each item was, especially for foreigners. Freshly baked goods at a nice price. Estaban mas planas de lo normal y por abajo estaban bien duras! Muy decepcionado de verdad, han bajado mucho la calidad y le han aumentado mucho. El problema que tienen es que no tienen control de calidad, nadie que este al tanto de la produccion, los panaderos cometen errores pero si no los corrigen, seguiran asi. I've been coming here for over two decades. No, they will not get labels with descriptions and if you are a foreigner it's not going to be your cup of tea. This place maintains the authentic taste of true Mexican bread. The birote is still as good as it was in the 80's so take your negative comments elsewhere. read more

The BEST bakery in TJ! There's always a line, but it moves pretty quickly. It's small inside, they only allow 4 people in at a time. Once you are in, grab a tray and tongs and pile on your choices. Back to the counter to pay once you've picked all of your sweet treats. Everything is very fresh, they are constantly restocking as the shelves empty. Terrible customer service, they wouldn't let my service dog in. The worker was quite rude also the place wasn't the cleanest. You'd think since they have this ridiculous policy it would be spotless in there. First and last time going to this dirty place! Avoid it, there are plenty of other better bakeries. read more

Really good Mexican sweet bread. Top favorites are the conchitas and puerqitos that come out daily around 1 pm and bolillo that comes out around 4. Parking is a little tough. Best pan in Mexico! Always warm and fresh. Took a whole box of cookies back to the US and after a week they are still good and fresh. The bolillo needs to be consumed right away for that will get hard if left out for a day. read more

Hands down THE BEST BAKERY IN TJ! This is the downtown location and-like everything else located downtown-there is only street parking. Parking is a hassle, but definitely worth it. I drop off someone, then just drive a block or two away and then just pick them up. The bakery itself is small, but they carry a wide variety of sweet bread. Best Mexican bread ever! Hands down. I usually call them in the morning and they have my bread ready for the time I pick it up. Best place.

Really cute little bakery, conveniently located on Constitución. Little street parking available, but luckily I live close enough to walk. It was a little crowded, but that was a good sign! You grab a tray and tongs from the front counter and choose whatever delicious pastry and bread that you want. All items are clearly labeled with the price. Most everything seemed to be around 6-10 pesos each. And the ginormous torta rolls were 18 each. We walked out with 9 pastries in a box and one roll for about 75 pesos or $3.90. They do take US dollar if need be which is convenient if you've forgotten to exchange beforehand. Definitely a winning spot! read more

Grab a pan and tongs and get loads of delicious pastries. I got three pero to no conoce the pinche names: one pina y dos mas. 12 pesos. No leche which I got at the market down the street to make it go perfectamente. read more
