Spent a slow morning at the Cleveland Cafe today. I ordered the Pumpkin Cream Chai latte iced and it did not disappoint. It was the right spice of chai. I ordered the protein avocado toast and it was really good. The sprouts and feta were a nice touch. The staff was friendly and welcoming and the inside had such a warm cozy feel to it. They were playing music and it was just the right vibes for a slow morning to read my book. I stayed for about two hours and in that time saw a lot of regulars come in to visit. The staff remembered a lot of their orders. That always adds a personal touch. Will definitely be back!! read more

The pistachio crepe alone deserves a 5 star. Really tasty and well put together dessert, I was so sad when I finished eating it. I also got the Shelby (cold brew + caramel) and I loved how the ice cubes were coffee lol Will be back in the area (I come weekly). Ladies behind the counter were super friendly too. This place is everything a family-run business should be. It's small, the owner is involved, the employees look happy, and they clearly have regular customers whose names they know. And I observed all this during just one random visit on my way to Alpine. Cleveland Cafe was a breath of fresh air in an unfamiliar place. My husband and I were just looking for something quick on our way to Alpine, and this was just what we wanted. We ordered from the counter and our food was ready in like 10-15 minutes. They have a pretty extensive collection of drinks. I'm kind of sorry I didn't try one. But the sandwiches we ordered were really tasty. I had the turkey panini. You can choose your cheese and a sauce for the side. I had provolone and the pesto sauce which is kind of a creamy mayo or ranch style sauce with pesto mixed in. It also comes with a pickle and chips. Really enjoyed that sandwich. Yum! We sat for a bit and ate while Puss in Boots was playing on the TV. Just a cute, cozy experience overall. Yes please! Coconut flavored mocha for me... With almond milk and extra whip cream. What I like the most about this place was the cheery cafe vinevibe when I walked in. This was the BEST matcha I've ever had. The girls in the register were so sweet and helpful. My favorite thing about this place is that they clearly love America. my humans got the crepes here (Monte Cristo and Black Currant) and liked them, again they didn't share any but I was content lounging on the floor and people watching. This local spot is popular and tons of folks walked in while we were there so I had a lot of entertainment. the crew wore these cute shirts that say "support your local caffeine dealer" and we are here for that! I don't go to Alpine that often but I was going to my friend's house to watch the Indianapolis 500. I had not had my coffee yet and asked my friends if they wanted me to bring some coffee over. I thought I would check to see if anything new popped up in the shopping center next to Panda Machi. I would rather suffer a headache than go to Starbucks . As I rolled through the parking lot, I saw their sign and said, "I'm gonna try them out." When I walked in I was greeted and that was the first star. I then saw a wooden sign that said Faith Hope and love. That was the second star. Then I saw the word organic before the word coffee on the menu. That was the third star. The staff thanked me when they handed me my coffee, 4th star. The coffee was excellent, fifth star, and that sealed the deal. Now I will always go to Cleveland Café. I am a member at the lemon Grove Rod and Gun Glub in Alpine and I will Stop in at Cleveland Café from now on and I will recommend it to everyone. The best chicken panini I have ever had. and the creamy pesto is to die for!!! The service was exceptional and I felt at home even though we were just passing through. the environment was great also. Awesome spot tucked away in Alpine! The owners are very friendly and the place is so clean and inviting. I ordered a Pumpkin Spice (in June!) Cold brew with the iced coffee ice cubes and a splash of heavy cream. Guys!!! I am a coffee snob! This is seriously one of the very best coffees I have ever had! So smooth and the syrups they use are so flavorful with true natural flavors instead of the artificial sugar stuff. Seriously, best coffee in Alpine hands down! My hubby is not a coffee fan so he got the Kiwi Strawberry Iced Tea with Lemonade, again, soooooo flavorful! It tastes so refreshing and amazing and not acidic or overly sweet, just perfect!! For treats I tried the Walnut Bear Paws which are light, perfectly sweet, and super yummy! They are a family recipe and you can taste the love in the baking! We also ordered a chocolate chip cookie which was bigger than my 5 year old's head! It took my kids 2 days to eat it! I can't wait to come back and enjoy more goodies! I came to this business because of a recommendation from a family friend. But I don't trust this business at all! I ended up throwing away my drink without even trying it.. if the employer and employees aren't following CDC and pandemic guidelines at work, then it isn't a stretch to assume that these same people are engaging in risky behavior on their own time as well (by risky I mean socializing, not social distancing and performing activities without a mask or the like).
