I heart Lakeside Social! This was my first time in and I'll definitely be back. I loved the variety on their coffee menu, and they also have plenty of food options like bagels and sandwiches. This morning I ordered the Vietnamese iced coffee and their signature Flying Donkey hot coffee - both were delicious. The two women working were so inviting and genuine, and we had such a great conversation. They honestly made the experience and are a big reason I'll return. The space itself is incredible. I've had this place on my list for some time and was really excited to try it. The staff were really nice and patient. The space and decor fits lakeside and the western / rodeo theme. Unfortunately if I'm paying $8 for a coffee, I expect it to be good. This was probably one of the worst ones I've had recently. I got the banana chai with a shot of espresso. The banana was overpowering so maybe it was just that. I am hesitant to come back and try the giddy up and the bagels. they use Torani syrups and as I mentioned if I'm paying that price I expect something fresh or homemade syrup. I didn't know what to expect because there aren't many pictures of the menu or inside to gauge what the system or coffee was like. Overall bummer, but I did make new friends there so that was a plus. read more

From the owners of the Santos Coffee House in North Park, they bring this community oriented coffee house in the heart of Lakeside in East County, San Diego. They roast their own coffee and it's some good stuff indeed. I had a dark roast with my Cafe au Lait and it was great. It was full bodied and offers a strong robust flavor, yet smoothed to drink. They also offer a variety of breakfast and lunch items. To enjoyed with my coffee, I ordered the "Outlaw" bagel sandwich. The offer a large variety of bagels and I went with the whole wheat. The outlaw came with the bagel, pesto cream cheese, fresh tomatoes for $7.50. The bagel sandwich was delicious and I really enjoyed the texture of the wheat bagel. The service was great. The people here were very welcoming and were not shy to strike up a conversation. They offer a good amount of parking. This place is a great addition to the community of Lakeside, Ca. read more

Great, local coffee spot! It's nice to see new spots show up in the area and even better when they taste delicious. For breakfast, I tied the Spicy Coyote on a Cheddar Jalapeño bagel. The tomato on this tasted so fresh. For coffee, I had the Banana Bread Chai and it was so good!! Definitely a sweet coffee drink but very good chai. There was plenty of seating, including tables and bar top. It was nice to see people reading and working. They are also pet friendly! read more

Heard so many great things and read so many great reviews about this place but didn't have the same experience. Walked in and the vibe is cute but the smell of eggs was intense. Waited at the register for about 10 mins while they finished other orders and when we finally got to order they were out of quite a few food items. No problem maybe their order was delayed so we looked past it. Ordered our coffee found a seat. We waited about 30 mins before we got our coffee and then another 5-10 after for a bagel and cream cheese. This would make sense if they were busy but there were literally 5 other people in there with their orders already. The coffee also tasted like straight milk and ice. My friends coffee tasted like onion. We ended up driving over to caffeine queens to have them remake us coffee it was so bad. read more

This place definitely deserves 5 stars !! The Banana Bread Chai was so delicious and my husband really loved the Cinnamon Roll Latte. The Bagel Sandwiches are awesome, very well seasoned and elevating a classic ! We loved the El Capitan & Barona Sunrise. I love trying new places so thought I'd give this place a try. Coffee was just ok, I ordered a Caramel Latte that tasted like hot milk and not much flavor. Only myself and one other person was there and the service was very slow. It was also so hot in there too, no air conditioner just fans going. Friendly service with modern industrial decor. Stopped in today and ordered the Strawberry Vanilla Chai Latte and the Hubby got the Banana Bread Chai Latte which both were really good. I like how it has a Lakeside theme going on. Some of the food items and drinks are named after things that local Lakeside citizens would know about. I was looking forward to checking out the new place, however, today was my first time and probably the only time I will go there. Ordered a small coffee drink, which took about 20ish minutes to get. My sister, who ordered before me, ordered a turkey sandwich and after about 30+ minutes, still had not gotten it. Someone who came in after us got her food before my sister did. Had to ask for a refund and after almost 40 minutes, left with one coffee drink. Coffee was good, but not worth the wait for me, unfortunately. read more

This place is just what lakeside needed! It has such good vibes in there and the aesthetic in there really seems to fit perfect to lakeside too! The service was fast and super friendly each worker had a smile of their face and could tell they love it there. The vaquero bagel breakfast sandwich was to die for. Great spot! Tried it for the first time yesterday, had a bagel sandwich (The RoadRunner), a yogurt parfait and a latte, all were delicious. So happy this place opened. I always thought Lakeside could use a nice coffee spot, and Lakeside Social delivered! Great location, great vibe/theme and extensive menu. We got the Neon Moon, Lindo Lake Lox and the Lakeside Lasso. They're still working out the kinks of being newly opened, but the food and drinks were delicious and the staff took great care of us and were very appreciative. Such a cool coffee shop and really needed in Lakeside. The building used to be a bar and then brewery. It kinda kept the same bar vibes with the counter tops and bar stools. The food is pricey but it's made right in front of you. They make really great cappuccinos. The service isn't fast like Caffeine Queen which is nice because at Lakeside Social you slow down. It's a coffee shop to meet a friend and catch up. Or a quiet place to chill and play some foosball. Bathroom are clean. I hope the business continues to do well! read more

There is no other place in Lakeside like Lakeside Social! I ordered the Banana Bread Chai Latte & holy cow- best Chai I've ever had! My kids also said their strawberry banana smoothies were "soooo good." We also got bagel sandwiches that were delicious & the ingredients tasted fresh. I ran in for a quick coffee and ordered their Mexican mocha and Cold Brew. The coffee was great (best cold brew I've had in a long time), the service was quick and very friendly. Next trip, I definitely want to sit down and try their food as they have a lot of space to sit and their menu looked awesome. I noticed they have WiFi too which would make for a great place to study.
