I needed a place to go to while I waited for my oil change to be ready, so I went here. I ordered a Carrot Juice and a plain bagel egg, cheese and sausage sandwich. It was honestly really good and I thought the price was reasonable. They also provide salsa on the side that tastes delicious and has a kick to it! Other places sometimes serve salsa but it honestly isn't great and has no taste. This one however I would be proud to eat. They have both indoor and outdoor seating. The customer service is top notch. All the ladies working at the time were super sweet. It also seemed like they knew a lot of the customers ordering that morning. The vibes were relaxing. I decided to sit outside because I did have my puppy with me. I did see others had their dogs outside as well. I was there for about an hour and all I can say is that I will be going again.
Dropped by here in search of their cherry bagel but they may have sold out by the time I got there. Lovely and helpful staff, a wide menu of items for breakfast and lunch, and lots of seating. Ended up with a cranberry bagel along with strawberry cream cheese, and it was very good. Not sure if I tasted the cranberries in the bagel, but I did appreciate that it was an option. Thanks so much!
Wanting a smaller run bagel place, we tried it here. Got the egg, sausage, and cheddar bagel sandwich. Was really good!! The egg was really thick, almost too thick. Seems they use pre beaten or liquid eggs. I personally would prefer just a regular fried egg. But didn't change the flavor, and over all the sandwich and bagel was really good!! The servers were very sweet, and the inside was adorable! Definitely would go and try it!!
I stopped by for lunch on a sunny day and ordered the Veggie Breakfast Sandwich on an Everything bagel. The menu is huge with tons of options, but since it was my first visit I decided to play it safe. The bagel itself was delicious. It was chewy with great flavor from the everything seasoning. I especially loved the onions in the sandwich, which added a nice savory bite. It did take a little while for our bagels to come out, but everything tasted fresh and warm when it arrived, so the wait felt worth it. Next time I come back, I definitely want to try the cinnamon raisin bagel with one of their spreads. There's seating both inside and outside, and on such a nice day I opted to sit outdoors. It was slightly busy, but the line moved quickly and the staff kept orders moving at a good pace. Overall, a great spot for a casual bagel breakfast or lunch, and I'm looking forward to coming back to try more of the menu.
I recently had to go into work by 7am and decided to try this place for breakfast. I love to support local and decided to try the local version of Einstein Bagels. And BOY, did they deliver. I was so full after finishing this. I was struggling to finish it by the last few bites. They have a lot of options for bagels and coffee. I wish I took a picture of their menu, but I'm not me when I don't have coffee and esp at 615am. Their blue berry cream cheese was absolutely phenomenal. If I ate a bagel every day, I'd buy their containers of their freshly made cream cheeses. They had so many flavors. There's plenty of parking even when it does get busy in this area. But nowhere near as bad as other areas like North Park. The staff were very friendly and efficient. I noticed they had a lot of customers buying their freshly made bagels by the dozen. Definitely a good place to stop by for some filling breakfast/brunch and some coffee. Especially if you're nearby like the Firestone and hungry. This is a great place to visit to eat and pass the time.
Golden Bagel is truly the quintessential New York style bagel. I am thrilled to have finally visited. I found it long ago and have driven by looking at it like Olive Oil passing a wig shop. Lol. I got an egg and everything bagel. The women behind the counter couldn't have been more pleasant. If it weren't the fact that I am back on course with my intermittent and low-carb way of eating come Monday, I will be back when I am craving a bagel. Most 'bagel' places do not boil bagels. Even Einstein's steams theirs and that is not going to pass the mustard. Golden Bagel is the real deal. Cheers! We will be back!!
It's difficult to try new places in this economy but I was craving a cheesy bagel so I did. I did think there would be cheese melted on top but I figured maybe I had miscommunicated. To get a blackened bagel with barely any cream cheese on it really frustrates when I tipped 30% out of kindness, and because I work in bagels as well. This is why nobody wants to tip for counter service, please tell your boy to do better.
Not one bad thing to say about this place. Its so cute with both indoor and outdoor seating. Alexa, the gal behind the counter, was so sweet. Food came out fast, hot and delicious. Muffins were moist and super yummy. Coffee was simple but good. I will be coming back!
Not gonna lie, this blueberry bagel with strawberry cream wa absolutely DELICIOUS. I couldn't even wait till I got home, I ate this whole bagel on my 20 min drive home from the bagel shop. Bagels were perfectly fluffy, chewy, and full of flavor. I also tried the apple cinnamon bagel with plain cream cheese and while it was tasty, I preferred the blueberry/strawberry combo. I'm biased as that's my go to order every time. The everything bagel was also a hit. I'll be back for sure!
I tend to go on morning walks and I passed by this bagel shop every other day so I finally chose to give it a try. The mornings have been cold lately so when entering it felt super cozy with the smell of freshly baked pastries and brewed coffee. It's a small shop but I was greeted by a polite cashier. After looking through their menu I chose to order a Bacon Egg & Cheese bagel sandwich, a chicken tamale, and a blue berry muffin. The tamale was a bit on the smaller side based on how much it cost but they do provide a side of home made salsa which was delicious and had a nice spicy kick even, the tamale was good as well. The Muffin was delicious, super flavorful, soft and moist, the BEC bagel sandwich was a bit on the drier side but salsa came in clutch. I would definitely recommend, they also offer reward points at check out and you can subscribe to their birthday club and receive special offers on their items!
Was recommended this restaurant by a coworker and decided to check it out for Saturday brunch. We arrived right at a rush but that's usually how you can tell it'll be worth the wait. The cashier calmly and quickly took everyone's order in line, and when it was my turn she made sure my order was exactly what I wanted - lox bagel, veggie breakfast sandwich, and a blueberry bagel. The dining room was filled with patrons enjoying their meals so we took ours to-go to have a picnic. The food was excellent, I'm not usually a lox person but seeing it is featured I gave it a try. They pile on the cream cheese and salmon, definitely your money's worth. Looking forward to another visit to Gold Coast!
We live pretty close by so was pretty excited to try this! I happened to sign up for their birthday rewards so I got 2 free bagels! I ordered the sourdough and sun dried tomato. Sadly they gave me the wrong bagel (got everything instead of the sun dried tomato :( ) The bagels themselves were really good! Very nice chew and flavor. Just wished I got what I ordered. The service was super friendly and pretty fast.
The bagels are delicious, but $10 "smoothies" are not worth it in my opinion. They are premade and kept in the fridge, so they are very watered down. If it was labeled as a juice, this would be way more accurate and not misleading. Besides this, bagels and cream cheese tasted great! Area was clean and workers were friendly.
Ya'll...stop what you're doing and get yourself a big ole yummy muffin or a bagel or do what I did and got both! Ha! This place is the REAL deal- bomb bagels, sandwiches and big homemade muffins to die for, and hot or cold coffee! Yes please!! This place tends to be busy especially in the mornings but rightly so! I got an egg n bacon sandwich on a cheese jalepeño bagel with their chipotle cream cheese on the side- bomb! Their cream cheese on the side was a bit pricey but worth it! I also ordered a pistachio iced coffee with oat milk- so heavenly! I came here after a hike and it was the perfect treat! Staff are nice and attentive- there's two registers because they get busy so that was nice- ppl order quickly. They also have a nice seating area inside or outside- very chill place to hang and eat. Especially if you bring a pup- outside seating is nice. They also have fresh orange juice that my friend got and dang- had I know I would have ordered one too! I tasted it and sooo yummy. I wanted to try a fresh bagel place, and Gold Coast Bagel did not disappoint. They had a huge selection of different flavored bagels. I had the blueberry bagel with cream cheese, and it was so soft I melted into every bite. I usually prefer to spread my own cream cheese, but they put a generous amount. The bagel wasn't as blueberry flavored as I would have liked, but you could still taste the blueberry. The staff looked happy to be there and walked us through the different cream cheese flavor options. The seating was open, and they also had tables outside to enjoy the sun. read more

This place is so cute, it has indoor and outdoor seating and inside is very homey. The staff is welcoming and they are also bilingual. They are truly so kind I saw them interacting with customers that I assume are regulars and they are so kind. Their bagels seem kind of small but they are so tasty the only thing I would say is their egg was like the school lunch egg. Very thick too, I had to cut it in half. They also seem to have small little jewelry and trinkets. read more
Straight to the point the low rating isn't because of the food quality but more so because of the service directed towards me. The bagel quality is great. If you fit the norm and want a good bagel come here! Seriously. I came twice dressed heavily in my traditional and religious clothing and right away was ignored. When my order was finally taken--it wasn't even officially placed in the system and they didn't have me pay. That was a red flag and I sat there for twenty mins as new customers came and left. I finally heard the lady who "took my order" shout back for my order to be made and as she walked past me she patted me on the shoulder and said "it's coming". I tried this place again today. I ordered and made sure to have my money out so I can pay and so the order is actually placed. I sat to wait and within 4 mins it was ready. The same lady brought me my bag and literally said "HERE". And walked AWAY! I really am baffled. Great tasting bagel but the service was nasty to me. I'm really disappointed and wish my experience was better so I can continue to return. read more

The ladies here are on it, quick attentive and friendly service, thank you! Delicious local shop in La Mesa for breakfast bagels and baked goods. I got a veggie breakfast sandwich on a spinach Parmesan bagel and a pineapple coconut muffin. Both were sizable portions and yummy. They offered homemade salsa with the sandwich too. Indoor and outdoor seating in the corner of the shopping strip mall. Parking is plentiful and easy. read more

Homemade style bagels and baked goods. Little gem in La Mesa who serves breakfast bagels , lunch bagels, açaí bowls, smoothies, and more light lunch favorites. Patio and indoor seating. You'll be welcomed with a warm greeting and thanked with such generosity. Has a very home and small town feel with lots of little gifts for sale in side. If you're in La mesa and craving a bagel after a hike at cowles mt (7 min drive) or lake Murray (2 min drive) , definitely recommend stopping by. read more

I always make a point of coming here when I hit home. The bagels are great. The tamales are hecka good too. But the atmosphere is lively and warm. Lots of returning customers and happy workers speaks to the attention and care the owners put into the business.
