Came here with my family on a Sunday night. The service was fine, there were two teens (or one teen and one young adult) working, and they were both very nice. We were offered samples to try the different flavors. The portions at this place is huge. I got a tiny sized yogurt, and it was 8 ounces of yogurt and quite enough for an after dinner treat. The toppings are extra, and kind of expensive, IMO. The decorations are not fancy, but I'm sure it's a nice local place for kids to hang out at. The furniture inside is a bit odd. There's a bench, and then some random chairs, and a kids table with plastic chairs. This place is one of the last, original, old-style yogurt shops in San Diego County that serves the YoCream brand. I grew up in Escondido going to a family owned yogurt shop that had been around since 1980 that served YoCream but sadly they closed down a while ago. I've been to Menchies, FroYo, even a few other non-franchise family-owned shops in the county but I could NEVER find a place that served creamy frozen yogurt. I'm not a fan of the icy/thin textured frozen yogurt that seems to be the most common in all the other shops. Yesterday, I was in the area and decided to give this place a try, and let me say... The moment I walked in and saw the YoCream brand sign I almost cried tears of joy! I ordered chocolate with cookie dough and it tasted JUST like the frozen yogurt I grew up on. I am so excited I found this place and will be returning for as long as I'm in the county. I love the hometown feel of the shop and the fact that it's not self-serve. My yogurt tasted SO good and the girl working behind the counter put the perfect amount of topping. This is my new favorite frozen yogurt shop. Stopped by here with the kids after school yesterday and this place was close by. From the looks of it this place was the kick it spot for the high schoolers nearby. Place didn't stay crowded for long so hat was nice. I ordered 3 tiny servings which I more than enough. The flavors they got were red velvet and cake batter. I wasn't a huge fan of the red velvet but the cake batter didn't disappoint! I was bummed that I didn't see any mochi as a topping because I mean let's face it, mochi is life. I could have been blind and overlooked it but if it isn't there I guess that would be my suggestion. Kids loved it and I liked that they had kid sized tables and seats even though my kids made a mess (sorry). We went here after trying to find a place and San Diego that has frozen custard. And after seeing all of the reviews we thought this place might be worth going to. We called their number to know what flavors they had that day and wanted to go on a day they had vanilla frozen custard. When we got there the only employee was on his computer and didn't address us until we got up to the counter. He asked what we wanted and charged us before serving. Once he did serve us it turns out the information on the number we called was wrong and the flavors offered that day were switched. Since one of us has a chocolate allergy they just got "cake batter" ice cream. As soon as the employee was done without thanking us or waiting for us to turn around, he went right back to his computer. The frozen custard was hardly authentic, tasted more like a combination of ice cream and frozen yogurt. And the cake batter was more like vanilla. Nothing makes this place special or unique, it's just a hole in the wall frozen yogurt place for the high schoolers to go to. All in all the experience was bad and quiet disappointing. The only redeeming factor is the price and that is out weighed because it is in Santee. But at least we don't have a reason to drive back into Santee anymore. If you are thinking of going here, don't waste your time. Just go to a frozen yogurt place that is closer to you, odds are they are the same if not better. read more

The cups themselves were piled high with toppings and yogurt, I was very surprised at how much was in the "Child" size cup. Way too much for even an adult! We were in the mood for frozen custard and we called to find out if it was authentic custard and the girl on the phone said it was. We also saw on their site that they had a buy one get one free. There were about 5 of us and we were hoping one was going to be free but when we showed them our coupon on our phone she said it needed to be printed out. So that was a bummer, we are so used to being able to show things on our smart phone and so that was a disappointment. Also we tried custard and it comes out of a soft serve machine and it tasted okay but it had a funny after taste. I asked if they had hot fudge to pour on top and she said yes so I ordered a custard with hot fudge and when I see another girl making it she's just squeezing chocolate from a little bottle.
