It was like coming home! Had to have the California Omelet with home fries and had ham instead of bacon. Seems like they use a whole ham steak cut up. Topped with so much guacamole, that i was able to have guacamole toast (on dry English muffins) and still great salsa! The wife had Eggs Benedict and fruit, still wonderful. The only problem i had was, I couldn't remember Brenda's name, who I known since we started coming here since 2005! The food was amazing! Portions were huge!! Waitresses were friendly and very nice and made sure you had what you needed. The inside of the restaurant reminded me of a time capsule. Very nostalgic!! Reminded me of a local cafe from my home town. The owner of this restaurant was rude as hell! Micromanaging his employers and commented how embarrassing it was for us to order as much food as we did. He laughed at one of the comments me and my party made about being thick. He was just rude and I felt bad for his employers who busted their asses. I personally wouldn't recommend this place. While the portion sizes are definitely generous, the quality of the food leaves a lot of room for improvement. Even our waitress seemed aware of it. She offered us steak sauce, and although we initially declined, we ended up asking for it after trying the food. When she brought it back, she mentioned that it happens all the time because most customers end up requesting it. The restaurant itself also feels outdated and could really use a remodel. I saw reviews mentioning plenty of parking and seating, but that wasn't my experience. There is a parking lot, but I wouldn't consider it large. Inside, the dining area felt cramped, with only a few small rows of booths and a couple of tables pushed together for larger groups. The one highlight of our visit was the waitress. She was friendly, attentive, and genuinely helpful throughout our meal. Overall, the restaurant has potential because of its generous portions, but it needs significant improvements. The atmosphere feels dated and cramped, and the food quality doesn't match the portion sizes. Until those issues are addressed, I can't recommend it. read more

A homy place. Nothing fancy and no need to be. Good food, fair price, generous portions and great services. Waitress checked on us a few times during meal and even asked if my wife wanted water, after she declined coffee refill. Very attentive. Paid $56 total for two omelettes plus coffees (including tips). Not cheap but serving portions so generous that we ate the leftovers for dinner, which came out to $14 per person per meal. The food is always good and nice sized portions but the service isn't always the same. It's hit and miss depending on time of day and what server you get. Yesterday was exceptionally busy for them and it showed with the lack of service. It took forever for someone to come take our drink and food order, food took the same amount of time. When it came to ask for boxes and get the check our server was nowhere to be found so we had to ask another server for boxes and then our server finally arrived with the check. When going to the front to checkout we had to split one meal from the rest and the owner told us to ask for separate checks next time because it makes it easier. It was a bit rude given the lack of service we had received and we weren't even asked if everyone was on one check before bringing it to us. I have driven by Cafe 67 coutless times getting onto Highway 67 in Lakeside. We finally decided to check it out since it was on our way home from a short staycation. We were warmly welcomed by their friendly staff and quickly seated at a nice booth. The restaurant is filled with knick-knacks, flair, odds & ends and whatnot but it was all so clean and well kept. Nothing was dusty. I ordered the CFS and it was outstanding. The gravy in particular was excellent. I was intrigued to try what they call a "Monterey Potato Cake" and it sounded better than it tasted. Completely devoid of any crispness and didn't really seem fresh. That tater cake was a gut bomb in itself and I ate less than half of it. I will say the English muffin was exquisite. Perfectly toasted and buttered. I appreciated that they had my favorite blackberry jam packets at the table, plus my wife's favorite, orange marmalade. I look forward to visiting again soon, but will most likely order traditional hashbrowns or grits next time. read more

This is one of the best breakfast restaurants I have ever eaten at. The food is amazing and the portions are generous. I always get the vegetarian omelet with Monterey potato pancake and homemade biscuit. The biscuits are the best I have ever eaten. My son always gets the "works" omelet and he swears by it. We enjoyed gobbling and chugging down the mega knight fried mangos with mustard, the whole time we spoke about adriens friend group and chatted about 6-7. I loved the service, and the eefoc was on point, we drove past loot lake which is part of the scenery on the way there, perfect for going with your desired boyfriend, glen in this case. I love this 67 cafe, the food was bussin, vibes were sheeeeeeeesh and it even made me delulu. I listened to skibidi toilet and the box by roddi rich 67 times. Serving breakfast and lunch, the menu is not overwhelming yet gives the patron a decent range of choices. I ordered bacon and eggs, hash browns, biscuit and a side of gravy. The eggs, fluffy and scrambled, offer a farm freshness while the hash browns crispy on the outside and cooked perfect on the inside. The bacon was crisp and cooked well and the biscuit airy and steaming hot. Pair all this with a cup of gravy and I call it a good breakfast that can hold me over till at least dinner. The service was fast and efficient, my meal arrived after order in less than 10 minutes, maybe more like 5. Had a great breakfast, great food, service was great with our server. But the real turn off was the disrespectful racial profiling from the owner when he ran our cards. He returned with them saying, "Carlos?" When the card reads Marcos, my brothers name. We corrected him saying, "Marcos?" He then looks up and proceeds to say, "Ah, well it's Mexican, they're all the same." and walked away. EXTREMELY unprofessional, not funny, and unnecessary. The wait staff have obviously worked here for some time, know all the ins and outs as well as us regular customers. My coffee cup is never empty, the food is always fresh and delicious. Whether breakfast standards, salads, hot, cold, or deli sandwiches, gourmet treats like lasagna, fettuccine alfredo, burritos, vegetarian options, potatoes at least six different ways, burgers, cheese steaks, and deserts; truly Café 67 will fit the bill. read more

If you are looking for good food, service, and prices this is the place for you. Service was prompt and friendly. We were told the specials and options. I had the Reuben which was very good. They load up the plate with steak fries. My wife had the eggs, pancakes, and sausage. She said it was very good. It came with warm syrup which is always nice. When done the waitress offered a cup to go with my remaining drink. This is not always the case and shows good customer service and awareness. Prices were good based on prices. Parking was easy on a Saturday at 11 am. The only call out is it is a little worn for furniture and looks. This may scare some away, but I found it clean just old. This place is amazing! The portions are huge and hearty, and everything I've tried so far is delicious. I love getting the works omelette or the vegetarian omelette (pictured) The omelette is huge I can usually get 2 or more meals out of it. I also love getting the biscuits and gravy too. My husband and I wanted to get some brunch, so we decided to try cafe 67. He ordered the country fried steak with hashbrowns and an English muffin. I ordered the 3 egg scramble with chorizo and cheddar cheese with toast. We both ordered coffee and iced water. We were greeted by a nice gentleman who sat us and brought us our drinks. He was very friendly and we loved talking to him. We had a friendly server also who was very attentive. The coffee was delicious and we had multiple refills. The toast and English muffin were nicely buttered. They had a variety of jelly packets on the table and different creamers available. I also loved how they had a napkin dispenser on the table for easy access to extra napkins if needed. My 3 egg scramble was very good, it tasted just like something my mom would make me. I loved it My husband loved his food also. The servings were very large and well worth the money. We loved the small town feel and cozy environment. I'd definitely come back.
