Food is plentiful and good. Service is very good. Ambience is modern and clean. This was a Birthday party so it was work work. They did great.

We received the August 2026 "Clipp" coupon book in the mail. The front cover (as well as an inside page) featured Jimmy's of Santee with a coupon offering a "FREE entree with the purchase of an entree & 2 drinks, valid Monday-Thursday." There was no mention of time restrictions. Arrived around 11 am on one of the weekdays listed and showed the coupon to the server, who regretfully told us the restaurant manager was only allowing the coupon to be used from 4pm-8pm. We've had other issues with this manager's policies in the past but have let them slide, but this time decided to warn others to be prepared. Jose is the manager and is rarely on the premises. Jose, if you read this, according to a little online research, "if a major limitation like time is completely omitted from the coupon and not disclosed upfront, it can be considered deceptive or misleading trade practice." Either place the proper restrictions on the coupon or honor the coupon. Next complaint gets stepped up a notch. I would normally rate Jimmy's of Santee 5 stars, but because of this experience I took away a star, and took away another star because of your previous decisions, which I won't get into at this time.

Jimmy's Breakfast Place is hands down one of the best breakfast spots I've been to. The food was absolutely incredible -- fresh, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. Every dish that came out was hot, well-presented, and tasted like it was made with real care. You can tell they take pride in what they serve. What really stood out to me was how clean the entire place is. From the tables to the floors to the restrooms, everything was spotless. That alone makes a huge difference when you're enjoying a meal. And the service? Top tier. Lupita went above and beyond. She was warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming from the moment we walked in. She made sure everything was perfect, checked on us at just the right times, and had such a positive attitude that it elevated the whole experience. Great food, clean environment, and outstanding service. I'll definitely be coming back -- and asking for Lupita again. Highly recommend.

Let's be honest. If you went to college and you make over $100k there is little to like about Santee. I live in Del Cerro and sadly Santee is an accessible commercial hub. I like Lowe's, I like Mast playground and Mary's for my kids, that's about it. Jimmy's was a great discovery. I was waiting for Costco to open and stumbled in here. The Food is incredible. IMO, it's better than The Trails and in quite a few ways, better than D.Z Akins. The best item here hands down is the corned beef hash. It doesn't come in a can like at The Trails. It's freshly freshly made. The best part is they even have hashbrowns here. The Trails is so lackluster, they give you potatoes. Lazy. The enviornment here is unusual. It's freshly redone but theres a bar with hard alcohol and beer on display? There's wood metal stuff everywhere? It's an industrial modern vibe. The service is medium to solid. Not friendly, not disrespectful, but straight forward and sometimes they know what they're doing. Not sure how family friendly it is but it's definitely get your shit done in the morning dad friendly.

The outside is deceiving. The inside is more updated. There are booths and tables. Bar and sports tv area. Great ambiance for all ages. On the menu, there is a little bit of everything for whatever you are craving. From what I ate and was served, meals have the home cooked feel. The service was surprisingly super fast. From placing our order to actually eating was about 10min. It wasn't too busy either though. Fish & chips with a choice of soup or salad $17.99 Eggs Benedict Biscuit & Gravy $17.99 Half stack of pancakes $10.99

The couple of times I been there the food, customers service and atmosphere is always good. What I love and recently noticed was the kids menu!! It shows pictures. This worked so great for my family because my child is non-verbal and can't always express what he wants to eat. Showing him this menu and him having options to choose was amazing. Keep up the good work on everything!!

Skimpy eggs but best potato bites ever

After my physical therapy appointment at Sharps hospital days ago (Wednesday 2/5/25 11am), I was feeling pancakes. I figured, I'm in another city, try something different other than Denny's. And, so, there he was, looking right at me from across the street - Jimmy's of Santee. My partner and I walked in the restaurant, immediately greeted with a warm smile by the hostess. I had requested for an "ocean view" table (my code word for window ). Got my wish and there we sat, at a firm cushioned booth, with a window. I liked already. As I looked around the restaurant, I saw modern decor, various dining rooms, spacious aisles, lots of windows and a perfectly pleasant vibe throughout. I thought to myself, I wonder if this place is lit in the evening (noticing a couple bar areas, one each side of the restaurant). Side note, some pictures on walls wouldn't hurt. Our breakfast meals were delicious. The potatoes were surprisingly crispy golden lightly tasty fried potato bites. One of the best I've had yet! Our scrambled eggs appeared skimpy, nonetheless, our combo dish was 99 % perfect. Our server was easy going and on top of things. From his good natured greeting, politeness, attentiveness and patience, he was a 5 star. I forgot his name. Ugh. He read my mind before I asked for the check. "Yes, I would like a to-go box for my potatoes, please," I replied when he asked me if I needed a box I also want to give a shout out to Faith, the hostess. Positive and friendly. Such a nice way to start one's morning as one walks into a restaurant. Her smile's a hit. Hey Faith, it's time to go to Mexico! My first time at Jimmy's was a wonderful experience. I would come back again. I recommend

Visited Jimmy's for Saturday lunch and we were able to order from both breakfast and lunch menu. It was quiet, perfect for families. Plenty of space, making it an ideal venue for private events. The dishes were generous portions and Service is prompt. We tried the new appetizer menus and it was enough for three, and I would recommend sharing them among four. Located within a plaza, parking is abundant, adding to the convenience. Indoor and outdoor seating options available. They offer gluten-free cheese and meat options, The restaurant has multiple screens make it as a go-to spot for game day gatherings 5 stars for an old fashion American family diner place . Good portions, good prices, to the point, no extra.

The food was weird and not good. The service was also bad. We won't go here again. If you do, make sure you read the menu really well.

We came by again today and sat at the bar like we always do. And Greg was our bartender he was great! I asked for a side of lemon juice for my Bloody Mary because I like it very lemony. Greg grabbed fresh lemons and squeezed them himself. I told Greg he didn't have to do that! And Greg said that it tastes better when it's fresh. I thanked him! We ordered the wings again and again it was amazing! Will definitely be coming back to see Greg and eat some wings. I also tried the jalapeño peppers which were delicious. The mozzarella sticks were mid and I would never get the pretzel bites again lol they were dry and way too buttery with no salt. But still would come back and try some other things!

I got there pretty early around 4:45PM, so it was still pretty empty with only a few other people there. I'm not sure if it was because the restaurant was still empty at the time or if our server was simply that awesome, but she was great! She was very attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu and specials. I started with the chips and salsa and onion rings from the all-day happy hour menu. Both were fresh and tasty. Once my friends arrived, we ordered draft beers, which were also good and came out quickly, with quick refills throughout our visit. I also ordered the mango habanero boneless wings, which came with carrots and celery. The wings were huge, fresh, and served hot. They had a good amount of sauce, with a nice crispy exterior while still being juicy on the inside. I believe it was around $15 for 8 pieces, and I would definitely order them again. I also really like that they mute the music and play the game audio throughout the entire venue. It makes watching the game much more enjoyable. I definitely want to try the Scripps Ranch location next to see if the experience is just as good. You really can't beat all-day happy hour! Overall, a great first experience, and I'll definitely be back to try some of the other menu items.

The Bacon was perfectly cooked and the Salsa I was given on the side was tasty on the Eggs. My only complaint is I asked for a Tropical Tea (it's on the menu).
