5 stars. Solid breakfast spot. Cunningham does everything well and this quick service concept is no exception.

The food was delicious I had a Italian beef with the sandwich dip . My girl loves it she said she wouldn't mind coming back she was so excited when she saw it cooked in front of her and she telling all of our family about it

I usually enjoy the salads here but quality seems to be declining while price increases. Today I paid $15 for a small salad that was inedible due to the obscene amount of dressing. I guess make sure you watch how much they're adding if ordering it tossed.

I was downtown and decided to check out this unique Cunningham Dining Group cafe. Located inside the high rise at 251 N Illinois St, there is a parking garage under the building, but unfortunately there is not a discount or validation option available. So, you are either limited to street parking (metered) or walking from some other lot you may favor. (I parked in Circle Centre Mall and walked over here.) So, most of the customers are folks who are already downtown and are within easy walking distance. A lot of the customers get their orders to go. However, there are more tables than I expected available for those who may want to dine in like I did. The line for placing your order (sorry, no wait staff here) starts on the east side where you grab a tray, napkins, and use the plastic ware dispensers. There is a conveniently placed menu on the wall. The line is laid out with "stations" for salads, sandwiches, soups, and for me, ordering a Ham and Cheddar Quesadilla. At that area, I was able to select the items I wanted to add to the basic ham and cheese. After adding things like tomatoes, pico de gallo, and onions, I asked for recommendations from my server and he suggested trying the black bean salsa (great choice!) He folded the oversize shell in half and took it to the grill, telling me that he would bring it out as soon as it was heated. I grabbed a fruit cup as a side order and was told I could help myself to a sour cream cup and a salsa cup before paying. They have a self serve beverage counter near the west entrance to the cafe. Note: Although this is a Cunningham restaurant, the computer system is not compatible with the Cunningham points system. But never fear! If you show your dining card, you get a 10% discount on your order! That works for me! After a five to ten minute wait, the server who was making my quesadilla brought it out (he had given me a heads up when it was about 2 minutes out.) When he delivered the plate, I asked how he kept track of orders since they didn't ask for names or have numbers on the receipts. He said he had to learn to pay attention to customers when they came through so that he could recognize them. That could be challenging, but seemed to work. Finally, the food was really good! The giant quesadilla shell was cut into four manageable pieces. I added the sour cream and salsa to mine, so I used the plastics to eat, but could have picked the pieces up by hand since they held together well. The quality was what you would expect from the Cunningham group. Fresh ingredients, clean restaurant in front and behind the service lines, and friendly service. If you are downtown for lunch, check out this place for a nice change of pace! Review #438

I've struggled with how to rate and review Goose the Market for a long time…read more I've struggled mightily. It's an Indianapolis icon in many ways. It's beloved. And listen, it's not the most wheelchair friendly place in the world. If you're a wheelchair user, you're in all likelihood not going to the cellar unless you're extraordinary with you're chair or you crawl. I remember attending a Yelp event here, and I just wrestled with these issues so much. It's not inaccessible - you can get in the door, though even the parking is a bit wonky and the curb-cuts a bit worn. This is an older building in an older neighborhood. So yeah, if you're a wheelchair user plan ahead. I am a wheelchair user. And I suppose I should knock off my usual 1-star for accessibility issues. But, I just can't do it. I, instead, choose to go 5-stars with my narrative disclaimer that there are accessibility issues here. But, my word. This is a great place and every single experience I've had with Goose the Market, including last night's Italian Film Festival, has been stellar whether I'm in their location or at an event they are catering. What is Goose the Market? First off, nearly everyone considers it one of the best - Indianapolis Monthly, Eater, Yelp, etc. Goose the Market offers a daily menu of sandwiches, soups, gelato, and small plates. It offers raw beef, pork, poultry, game, seafood, in-house made sausage/smoked meats, and more. It offers charcuterie - both in-house and from other producers. It offers farmstead cheeses, fresh produce, artisan breads, preserves, sauces, pickles, pasta, crackers, flours/grains, and a lot more. There's the cellar - Enoteca bar with Italian style wine by the glass and small plates (and it has all-ages seating). Goose the Market offers a wine of the month club, gift cards, catering, classes, daily specials, and more. What can I say? There are those places that are worth the effort. As a lifelong person with a disability, I long ago realized the world would never be perfectly accessible. It's never going to happen. I'll continue to work toward a more accessible world, though I'll also honor that there are those places where I feel welcome anyway. I feel welcome at Goose the Market, though I can't quite get the full experience. The service is exceptional, the products quite awesome, the environment warm and friendly, and there's simply no doubt it's one of Indy's treasures. So yeah, five stars. With a disclaimer that those with mobility impairments may need to plan ahead or have a companion along. Who wants to be my companion?

Bacon making class: overall I am glad I did the class, but think there are some things that could change. The information provided at the beginning of the class didn't flow the best, and used a lot of terms I didn't understand- knowing your audience is important. We were told we would get 1.5lbs bacon, and .5lbs bacon bits. When picking up the bacon, we only got the bacon, and none of the bits. This needs to be updated on the class description. Sandwiches: we tried a goose, and a batalli. The goose was good- nothing spectacular. I was a fan of the batalli- nice amount of mayo, appropriate spice, and good amount of meat/cheese. Would definitely get the batalli next time. Overall, I enjoy the sandwiches, think the sandwich class could be improved.

The space is big and fun, with a large dining room, an old-school video arcade game, interesting art, and a big screen playing movies, which adds to the laid-back, quirky vibe. It's counter service with clear menu boards on the wall, making ordering easy. I had the cheesy jalapeño grits with bacon and an egg and... my goodness. So incredibly delicious. One friend ordered the same grits but swapped in fried catfish instead of bacon--also a fantastic choice. Our third went with a classic plate with eggs and bacon, and let me tell you, the bacon is thick and plentiful. We ordered a side of fries for the table and there were more than enough to share. Self-serve coffee with all the fixings is a nice touch, and the service was friendly and welcoming. Fun atmosphere, great food, solid portions--definitely will be back.

My husband and I had never been here before and the lady at the counter was less than friendly. She did tell us the menu was on the other wall. My husband got a Diet Coke that came in a can and we both got a classic plate minus the toast. 2 eggs, 2 sausage patties... nothing special including the presentation. The price for each plate was $18 plus a $2 can of coke and a tip they didn't deserve brought our total to a little over $40. The eggs were flavorless and literally had no seasoning. I did appreciate that the sausage patties weren't greasy. That was about the only good thing. The decor looked like they took whatever thrift stores couldn't sell with no particular theme. Funny enough, we went out for breakfast a few days later to a DIFFERENT PLACE and for the SAME PRICE got way more food, better quality food, better presentation, full table service, friendly service, great atmosphere, and an overall wonderful experience. Overall, I would not recommend this place. We left feeling like we got ripped off and I could have made the same thing better at home.

It was a floral kind of sweet with the addition of a hint of rose. The pink foam colored with strawberry and beet powders adds to the overall cutesy effect! I also got a cocoa brownie ($2.50, about a 3-inch square) and that is surely chocolatey. I didn't find it to be too sweet but it doesn't lack in that department either.
