In my quest to support and highlight independent eateries, Just Judy's, is one of my favorites. The food is delicious, the place is small (12 tables inside) and occasionally a few tables are outdoors. The bigger tables seat 8 people. It's a place with lots of regular customers. The customers not only know the staff; they know each other. Their food is delivered through Grub Hub. It's breakfast and lunch only. They close at 1:30 p.m. and 1 p.m. on Sundays. It's not fancy. It's a generous portion of food for the money. They've been at this location 14 years for a reason! read more

Service was really good, has a small diner feel. Breakfast only on Sunday; every other day serves both breakfast and lunch. I got a breakfast bowl with potatoes instead of hash browns and cinnamon raisin bread. The raised bread was the best part. Thick slices of bread loaded with butter cinnamon and sugar. The bowl was ok. The meat was very ground beef, with thin slices of potatoes... just seemed a little out of place. But it was good, I ate some and saved some for the next day. I think the thing that is special is that our server was a grand daughter in law of Judy. It's nice to see a family business carry on the legacy. Now I did see some other patrons order some HUGE sandwich, it might have been a BLT or a breakfast burger... but wow it looked good. read more

Always a good meal anytime we stop in.. so we went yesterday around 1:00 pm (keep in mind they close at 2 pm) but they got the 4 of us in, fed us in a timely manner with a great attitude! The food is always (as the youngster say) which means it was in those words of that famous Tiger grrreeaattt! The place may be small but it's so much worth it! Stopped in here, my second day in Indianapolis looking for that diner again. I was there not long after they open so it wasn't really busy. I sat at the counter since it was just by myself. Situated in a strip mall along 62nd & Binford along with Blind Owl Brewery, Just Judy's is a little breakfast spot I have been planning on visiting for years. I love little diners or hometown spots so this definitely fits the bill. There are 4 outdoor tables and the porch has ceiling fans and hanging plants to make it feel homey. I also love that each of the table sets outside is a different style of patio table. I ordered a #5 which is corned beef and eggs with hashbrowns and a side of gravy to go with the biscuit. The hash was not homemade but it was very good. The sausage gravy was homemade but the biscuit wasn't. If and when I return, I personally would stay away from the hashbrowns and biscuits and gravy. Eggs were soft and pillowy and had light cheese, delicious. I had iced tea which was just the way I like it, but mind you only one refill and at $3.45, I think that is the most I have spent anywhere on iced tea. The waitresses are very friendly and efficient at their job. Since it was my first tome, Denise checked on me múltiple times and gave suggestions and information. Even though the space is small they fit in enough seating to get you in, fed, and happy. The service is friendly and prompt and the food was oh so darn good. I ordered a BLT with a side of tater tots! I love tater tots! They are the worlds best catsup transportation device I know. The BLT was perfectly prepared and there was about one pound of bacon on this sandwich! I am not kidding. I could only eat about half of the sandwich and the tots and it made for an amazing second meal. My dining companion ordered a breakfast bowl, and yes it is exactly as it sounds. I struggle with 3 or 4 stars. Very basic breakfast ( stuff you can easily make at home ). The price is very good though. Space inside is tight but clean. Husband ordered a cheese omelet with bacon and white toast. He didn't get any bacon inside his omelet just cheese. I got scrambled eggs, bacon, and pancakes. Finished my eggs and bacon before I was able to get syrup and butter for my pancakes. OJ was absolutely horrible. Sorry Judy's was not our cup of tea this morning. read more

I just love this place! It's not fancy. It's not trendy. It's not trying to wow you with some fad flavor. It honestly doesn't give a rip about this Yelp review! Lol! It reminds of much of its more "seasoned" (and white haired) clientele...down home...tested...and all out of cares to give! It's a tiny little restaurant that only serves breakfast on sundays. There are tables just inside the door so right now. People keep opening the door and just holding it open. Our breakfast meals were out so fast we barely had time to pick up our phones. I did not like the hash browns they weren't the thinner crispy on the outside soft in the middle kind. They were barely done. I didn't feel like sending them back as there was plenty of other food and those girls were hopping! My eggs were over medium and perfect. The bacon was crispy and plentiful. We tried the corned beef hash with hash browns, 1/2 order of biscuits and gravy, and the chicken fried steak also with hash browns. Everything was prepared as requested and tasted great. And, we really appreciated that they offer you substitution options if you don't want toast with your meal -- we each opted for an additional egg with our breakfast entrées. We'll definitely be back. First time visitor. Brought my family of 5 here Sunday @ 12:15 (45 minutes before close). There were a few people standing outside waiting for tables but we put our name on the waitlist. We waited 5 minutes but it was cold so we decided to head home and try another time (or so we thought)... the hostess literally ran out to the parking lot and said "not so fast, we are just clearing a table for you!" +1 star We get seated and are immediately offered drinks, menus and guidance on ordering because "all of the plates 1-5 are double portions" so you will have more than enough food. +1 star We get our coffee before we even finish ordering! Real Half & Half. +1 star The staff are so friendly... and not just to my wife and me, but talk to my kids and jokingly offer them summer jobs washing dishes (but I think they might be serious). In less than 10 minutes it feels more like dining with old friends than at a busy restaurant, we have met the owner and her daughter and they are telling us the history of the whole place. +1 star The food is delivered quick, it's delicious, and indeed the portions are fit for a farmer. This place is a great well kept secret by the old-timers. It's casual, simple, and delivers a great meal. Think diner atmosphere. I did breakfast, but they also do lunch too. I got #1 - Eggs, Sausage, Hash browns, and 1/2 order of B/G's. With a coffee, the total was $13.25. Tough to beat for this amount of quality food in the city!
