I didn't know about place, but on my way home back from Broad Ripple I found it. I love trying breakfast places that are not a chain, so I decided to get something here. The building at a busy intersection and it isn't big. It had New York City themed decor inside. The menu had a variety. I chose ham omelette with hash brown patties w/ toasts. It took about ten minutes. It was for take out and they put everything in one container which I liked (instead of putting each item in individual container creating more waste) The omelette had a lot of cheese inside and was yummy. Two slices of toasts came with jelly.i think it is a great value considering the price and convenience. Staff were smiley and friendly. I'll definitely return.

Very good family ran business. We were asked if we were dining in or to go. We were dining in. They had us pick a seat and they took our order at the table. Teas were refilled and the food was very good. I got the pancake breakfast with 2 pancakes , 2 eggs scrambled and bacon. The pancakes were fluffy and had a slight cinnamon flavor. Bacon was well cooked and the scrambled eggs were good. Husband got the FrenchToast breakfast with eggs fried and bacon. He really liked it all. Interior was clean and the decor was minimal. What they had was a nod to NY City. Parking is ample off Michigan Rd. Handicapped accessible ramp in the middle of the small plaza with 2 handicapped parking spots. We will be back. Show a local business some love by going and checking them out.

I checked this spot out with the kiddos. We sat outside on a sunny but slightly windy day and it was nice. They brought out our food timely and everything was fresh. Great customer service as well. A quick breakfast spot that sells tacos and other things too. We will definitely be back!

Have had breakfast twice and both times hit the mark. Its small and cozy inside. When you enter it was obvious to walk up to the counter to order. They have printed menus which i like vs a menu board. I didn't take a photo of the menu but from memory they have the typical breakfast favs: omellettes, pancakes, waffle, french toast. The first time I went with the mexican classic chilquiles.. they even let me do half red sauce and half green. They suggest you add an egg or chicken.. so I went with chicken. Very tasty. Hubby had some sort of breakfast platter (don't exactly remember the name) he had eggs, home fries, bacon and toast. He was happy with it all. Oh and even though you order at the counter they bring everything to you. Coffee and meal - and check back and give you refills - attentive service!

An excellent new breakfast and lunch restaurant in an area where it was definitely needed. Enjoyed lunch here with a friend, and between us we ordered several menu items. The pancakes were excellent! I'm very picky about pancakes and these were perfect. My eggs were cooked perfectly to my order. The breakfast potatoes were wonderful too. French toast was very good as well. My friend enjoyed her veggie wrap. Everything was made fresh with quality ingredients. The restaurant is very attractive, with tables and booths, and a few high tops. It is attractively decorated with New York themed items and pictures. Employees were extremely friendly. Everything was spotlessly clean. Breakfast is served all hours. Five enthusiastic stars!

Fantastic little spot for a no frills yummy breakfast!! Highly recommend the golden pancakes. I'm super picky and these were light and fluffy with plenty of flavor. Im also picky about my coffee and there's was worthy of the New York name (where you can go to any corner store and get a great cup of coffee). For my order I stuck with the basics...eggs, bacon and hash browns with a pancake ala carte. Added sliced avocado since I saw that was an option on omelettes. You order at the counter and then sit. The servers were awesome and answered all my questions. Everything was clean but it definitely gives a hole in the wall, corner bodega vibe.

Wanted something different for breakfast, and this was a new find. Ordered at the counter, and was promptly served fresh coffee at my table. Service was truly quick and friendly. Pancakes were very filling, and my order of over-medium eggs were spot on. Overall, I was pleased and would return! Keep slinging what you're slinging!

Reminds me of home. Very good food, very nice people. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, making every visit enjoyable.

I was really looking forward to checking out a new breakfast spot, unfortunately it was rather disappointing. I generally don't care much having to order at the counter, pay and tip before I get any service. So I stand at the counter trying to make a quick decision since the menu does have a lot of options. I decided on some coffee and a bacon omelet platter. I have to say the coffee was great and someone came from behind the counter to refill it occasionally. The platter consisted of the flattest omelet I have ever seen. There was some bacon bits in it and you could see the square slice of cheese stuck into the fold of the omelet. If the entire thing was 1/4 inch high I'd be surprised. Tasted meh at best. I chose fried potatoes, probably should have gone with the hash browns. So the potatoes are the small cubed kind, which I like. However, most were still raw on the inside and were coated with some sort of tomato based sauce. Not really saucy, but definitely coated, yet still dry and fairly tasteless. You get a choice of white or wheat toast. Mine was very dark, borderline burned and had to ask a few times for jelly to go with it. Ambiance not so much. It could be cute, but when you consider the rolled up carpet standing next to the entrance, the fake plants with the price tags still attached to them and the stacked patio furniture in the corner by the bathroom... it's a no for me. The prices would be ok for good food, but this experience just wasn't worth it.

So happy to see a restaurant pop up close to home! New York Breakfast serves both breakfast and lunch and has a wide menu. Prices are reasonable, portions are large. I had the breakfast sandwich on a nice, shiny soft bun, and my hubby had the green chili chilaquiles with scrambled eggs. I also had a rich tasting hot chocolate. Appears to be family owned, we will be back.

When we heard a new breakfast spot was opening just around the corner, we knew we had to check it out. After chatting with one of the owners, Ida, she shared that her family made the journey from Mexico to New York, and New York Breakfast is a tribute to the little restaurant near her grandparents' home--an homage filled with love, flavor, and sentiment. Now, about the food...The bacon was smoky and downright delicious, the eggs cooked to perfection, and the coffee--rich, bold, and exactly how I like it. But the home fries were a game-changer, perfectly seasoned with red and green peppers, onions, and bacon--hands down the best I've ever had. Naturally, we added cheese because, well, cheese. They have a wide assortment of menu options beyond breakfast that look SO GOOD! And the prices? Unbelievably reasonable. If you're nearby, you've got to give it a try! I can't find socials yet to tag, but they're located at: 5620 Michigan Rd Suite C Indianapolis, IN 46228. Phone: 317-755-2272 New York Breakfast (317) 755-2272 https://g.co/kgs/h3CEKLv

Looks nice walking in but I won't be back! The service was great they seem friendly. The place was clean and welcoming but no on the food.

Food is delicious and service is great! The red chilaquiles were very tasty and not too spicy.

Same great staff, same cool space, same open kitchen where a party of one like me can grab a counter seat and watch the chefs do their thing. I've honestly always enjoyed that part of the experience. Today I had the avocado toast with feta and an egg on top, and it totally hit the spot. Earlier this week I tried one of the newer menu items -- fried chicken with mashed potatoes and gravy, plus a sample of jalapeño cornbread and Asian slaw. Incredible comfort food. And as someone who normally isn't much of a slaw person, I was surprised by how much I loved it. They also tried to tempt me with the roast beef special, which honestly looked great, but at 10:30 in the morning I just couldn't fully commit to roast beef yet. Maybe next time. The new name is a nice tribute to the owner's mother, Arleen, but thankfully it still feels like the Milktooth so many of us have come to enjoy over the years. No one asked if everything was okay even though most of my food was untouched. The food... my salad (house greens) was a great little salad! I say this despite finding a hair on the plate when I was about 2/3 through. My mussels and fries were not great. The fries were mid - they tasted kind of overdone or as if the oil were old. The mussels were actively bad. The portion (an app) was pretty small. There was hardly any broth/wine and they weren't piping hot. Also, they were actually not tasty and the texture was rubbery. They remained in front of me, uncleared, even after I closed my tab. They did not smell good. I don't anticipate being sick but I do anticipate being hungry.

We were greeted right away and looked over the menu a bit before ordering. My husband ordered the country breakfast with chicken (definitely the way to go) and I ordered the cheesy jalapeño grits with bacon. We each got a cup for water and I ordered a coffee, excited because I saw ahead of going that it was self-serve (like at Cafe Patachou where I can get as many coffees as I like without having to wait for our server to come check on us first). However, the self serve coffee excitement was short-lived after seeing that they only offered half and half as creamer (I'm lactose intolerant) and the two coffee carafes were not labeled for what was inside (decaf? medium roast? you'll never know!) and then one was completely empty and never refilled during our visit. The water station also was not ever refilled during our visit, so we were not able to get refills after filling up our cups the first time. It took a couple of tries to find a table we could sit at because you seat yourself, but several had not been cleaned after other guests left and had food and drinks spilled on them. There were definitely enough staff members there to be able to clean them in between customers, so we weren't sure why they were left that way. We ended up sitting in the middle of the room towards the front, across from the clown art wall, which made for interesting conversation as we looked through everything. When the food came out I was impressed with the portions, but I had no flavor whatsoever to my cheesy jalepeno grits. The egg and bacon were good, but not enough to make it a good dish and I would not order it again. And I love savory breakfast and grits in general, so it was a real bummer. My husband's dish was worth the visit though. It was a huge portion size and we honestly would just split it if we came back and ordered it. It was so savory, seasoned perfectly, and juicy. One of the best breakfast dishes I have tried recently! I really debated between 3-4 stars for this, but my dish was a flop, the lack of cleanliness for the seating area, the lackluster self-serve coffee station, and not refilling the beverages ultimately scored a 3 star review for me. I would come back and try something else though, or split the country chicken breakfast because it was really good. Hopefully next time the beverages won't be empty!
