Almond milk latte with housemade salted caramel bourbon syrup.

Quills is a picture-perfect example of a city coffee shop: 2 walls of windows, excellent color scheme, always has patrons, and the coffee is delicious. Even when there is a line (which there wasn't on a Sunday afternoon), it's hard to feel rushed or impatient because it's such an inviting space.

It's been awhile since I've been back here and it felt great to return. I missed the bright lighting, friendly staff, and tasty coffee. I've never had a bad experience here. Thanks Quills!

Large coffee shop that sources and brews their own beans. There is plenty of seating and workspace for coffee meetings or a work away from home day. I had the Woodsman, which is a latte with brown sugar and cinnamon. I had it iced with oatmilk. It was your typical iced latte.

When a coffee shop roasts and wholesales their beans, you know they are legit. Quills came highly recommended. I ordered a decaf americano. Great flavour and aftertaste. Cool simple, minimalist interior. I can see why it's a popular downtown Indy coffee spot.

Always love a visit to Quills! Definitely one of my favorite spots in Indy. The coffee is always expertly crafted.

Posting another review for an honorable mention; the Sundae Morning!!! It's a seasonal drink on their spring menu so get it while you can. I believe it's their signature cold brew + strawberry milk and it is absolutely DIVINE. Tastes like a chocolate covered strawberry. I've been exploring a lot more coffee shops around Indy this past year and the quality and taste at Quills is still #1

Great coffee without a doubt! Usually very friendly but had one guy take my order without saying a word. I usually just get the tall black coffee which costs almost $5. Not cheap! It has a bit of a sour taste but I like it. They also have various pastries if you want a snack. Great downtown location near the Central Library.

I was in town for work and needed a nice coffee shop to pop in, grab a quick pick me up, and get a bit of work done. I've been to a Quills in Louisville, so when I discovered on Yelp that there was one close to my hotel, I didn't hesitate to make my way there. I loved that the place has a ton of natural light, a great variety of seating options, the staff was friendly, my latte was delicious, and the croissant I got was perfect. They also had strong wifi, plenty of places to plug my laptop in, and let me tell you... this coffee shop is big with a ton of space which was another thing I really enjoyed about it. They definitely passed the vibe check for me and I would totally come back.

Love quills! They have great coffee and pasties. Parking is street parking (free on Sunday) and I never have a problem finding a spot. The shop is spacious and has huge windows that make the space look so open and clean. Love it!

Ham and swiss croissant was yummy!! Filling!

I like Quills, it's open and modern and very conveniently located on Meridian right before the heart of the city. My favorite seat is at any of the barstools lining the shop, facing the outside. Personally, I have always preferred a cozier, comfier coffee atmosphere so this one is a bit too simple for my taste... which is why I may lean towards other spots in the city. The menu is also a bit limited, and expensive, so feel like I haven't had a nice warm experience necessarily. However, I always get a lot done, and get a good kick of caffeine no doubt. It's near the library which is a bonus.

Quills is a really interesting place for me. First off, their newest location is stunning! So much light coming in through the windows and tons of seating options. It's an ideal page to study/ read as it is always quiet. I think their coffee is some of them best in Indy and their seasonal menus are always my favorite. Their fall menu in particular is incredible! The latte choices are so yummy and I'm never disappointed with their product. That being said, their staff are always super dry and unwelcoming. Never any greeting or smile, I order my drink, then they turn around and start making it before I even get my card out to pay. I don't expect small talk but maybe a "Hey there! What can I get you" or "We'll have that ready for you at the bar" would be nice. It's definitely not a one time thing either because it's always been my experience here. It won't stop me from coming cuz I love their coffee but it's definitely a place to come and get work done, not socialize or chat with the baristas.

Definitely a great and spacious place to work and relax in the middle of downtown. Street Parking was a breeze early morning and I enjoyed my Americano which was absolutely the way I liked it. It was pretty quiet from 7-9 and then started filling in really quickly. Quills has an array of spring flavored coffees, baked goods such as muffins and cookies and a variety of coffee beans and apparel to choose from. The glass panes gives an open vibe and the contemporary furniture gives a very casual and comfortable feel. Quills is dog friendly so overall great place to work out of,

I happened upon this place while in the downtown area. It is easy to miss, as it's down a no-exit skinny street, but judging by the amount of guests hanging out/working inside, it is well known locally. Once I read about their signature bourbon salted caramel drink, I couldn't change my mind, despite the seasonal specials sounding awesome. It's a little on the darker side indoors, with relaxing vibes, and very chill but polite staff. Prices are reasonable, especially since going from a regular to a larger size is only 25 cents more - score! My drink came quickly and I headed out (closest parking is metered). Wow, what amazing flavor in a coffee! I immediately didn't get any sweet notes but just the coffee itself was great. As I kept drinking, the many layers of flavor became obvious. I don't think I've ever drank a beverage so quickly. I came back a few days later and was happy with the consistency in this divine drink. Although I don't live near this location, I'd make the drive just for stopping here. Definitely support local and give this drink a try STAT.

    Does quill's validate garage parking?

Yes they do as long as you order something from them.

Is this place pet friendly? I think I've seen a dog or two in there, but wasn't sure if it was restricted to service animals.

Definitely pet friendly. We bring our lab with us whenever we go. They have a water bowl for dogs up near the coffee bar.

This spot is just off the creek, with a decent parking lot and a drive through. It has a deeper warmer green than a Starbucks, and it draws a much warmer crowd too. We chatted often with the people in this shop! And we visited twice. How welcoming is that? The breakfast burrito is nothing flashy, but definitely warm gooey goodness. What sets it apart is the sauce: creamy, gently spiced, something like a seasoned mayo but not spicy. Coffee, of course, is the backbone here, and it's handled with a kind of calm precision. Our barista kindly alerted my partner and me that a warm blueberry latte would have oatmeal because of course the blueberry curdles regular milk. I ordered a seasonal bonfire cold brew and it was way too sweet for my liking. I also didn't really care for the taste of the cold brew unfortunately. And since the menu didn't have descriptions of what was in things, I basically guessed this would taste like a s'more and was correct. It was just too much for me and I only ended up drinking half of it.

It is like a mocha with a kick and extra flavour depth, and it is absolutely delicious. The dark chocolate, honey, cinnamon, and cayenne give it a little warmth and complexity without losing the joy of a proper iced coffee treat. They also have some really high-end pastries to choose from. I love the lemon loaf, and some of the more complex, unique pastries make it feel a bit more elevated than the average coffee stop.
