Cheesesteak Melt
Melinda S.

We put in a pick up order online. The food was ready at the given time. The inside of the restaurant is small and casual with some seating. I chose a jerk chicken quesadilla and my bf chose the cheesesteak melt. We also ordered a side of fries. I heated up the fries a bit once we got home since they were a bit cold from the walk back; they were well seasoned and tasty. The cheesesteak and quesadilla were both good. I enjoyed the roasted peppers in my quesadilla. Overall, this spot was good and I'd order from here again.

Cafe 1908 has been on my "to visit" list for awhile. I door dashed them last night. I ordered the cheesesteak and old bay wings. The cheesesteak came with delicious fries. The cheesesteak was a bit smaller than I expected considering the pictures and the price point but the flavors were there! It was very good and I devoured it! I would visit again for lunch time versus dinner since for dinner I'm usually looking for bigger portions.

The food and service are outstanding! This place really needs an eat in option. Especially for those of us outside the neighborhood.

Seafood Salad

A small carry out shop located in the city, they have creative spins on your typical foods. I ordered via door dish and also placed an order online, both were seamless processes. GLOWS: -The seafood salad is very good! On the expensive side for sure, but worth it for a special treat. -In store service was efficient and effective GROWS: -The curry chicken bowl was entirely too spicy. A menu warning would be helpful, as most curry chicken dishes come with adjustable spice levels (in the US at least).

Bang Bang Shrimp wrap
Cleo P.

The shrimp wrap is my go to when I order from 1908. Always well seasoned and fresh. The shrimp are a great size and the cool cole slaw is a lovely compliment to the spice level of the bang bang sauce. The fries are always seasoned and hot. Overall an enjoyable lunch.

I won't really speak on the service or the ambiance of the restaurant since I ordered pick up, and I believe they only do pickup. I wanna say the food was AMAZING. I wish there was more. Everything was seasoned correct, the fish was fried just right, and they surely were not skimpy on the crab. The bowl had a small kick to it cause of the sauce they used atop the rice. I spent $21 and it was definitely worth it. I will say this place can easily get you spending a good amount, but I'd say you're paying for quality.

Bangin Azz Cheesesteak & 1908 Cheese Steak

In my honest opinion both of these wraps look the same. Bangin azz cheesesteak my azz. $20 for a platter that looks like someone ate fries out of already. & the wraps are in no shape or form contents that amount to $15-20. I live 5 minutes up the street & this is my first & last time eating here. It's truly a poor experience, my fries should not be this soggy & low in quantity for $20. Buffalo Wild Wings would've given me more fries had I ordered a SMALL there. Anyways the wraps were a disappointment my sister wants me to add the deli could've done extremely better & she hates to say that she could've went to Wawa & got something cheaper & of better quality. Not to keep comparing but this is just our experience. 0/10 do not recommend. Someone suggest something different. In need of chefs, lower prices, and better quality food if this place wants more business in the future.

Fried Catfish Sandwich
Josh W.

Walk in place with limited counter seating. I asked their specialty. No quick answer, so I went with the fried catfish sandwich and had a bottle of fresh juice. The juice itself was good but must've cost $9 or so. Blue Magic. The sandwich was pretty good but not distinct. Fries had a nice crisp. I imagine I'll try them again and might revise upwards if something else impresses me.

Jerk Chicken Wrap Garlic & Herb Fries
Sophie B.

The jerk chicken wrap with garlic & herb fries on the side is truly a masterpiece. I'm obsessed with this wrap and I truly crave it like every other week. Depending on your spice tolerance, some may think it's too spicy. But just keep in mind, when you order, it's jerk chicken and if you have a low spice tolerance, I wouldn't get it. Also, every time I go in there, the employee working the front is smiling and happy to greet customers. Can't go wrong!

** Yelp Review # 1,000 ** I knew this milestone review would be special and it certainly is. Located this business on social media. Saw my Yelp Family approved. Took a visit!! Let's start from the beginning. Parking can be difficult but not impossible, depending when you visit. Anytime is a great time for me. Cafe 1908 makes it convenient to order online using Toast and a few other sites, or you can call in. Either way, the food is ready pretty quickly. There's always a sweet young lady who answers when I call in my order, and she gets it perfect every time. Cool atmosphere upon entering and quick retrieval of food. Limited seating (4-5 stools against a wall shelf). I wish there was more seating so I could visit w friends and family. This business is 6 minutes from my job but 35+ minutes from my neighborhood, so it makes it hard to share w friends and family. I like to eat my greatness on site !! So far, I've visited 4-5 times ordering the Catfish Sandwich and the Salmon & Shrimp Bowl. I absolutely love their Garlic & Herb Fries !! Perfecto !! The in-house beverages are top tier!! I absolutely love this black owned business and will continue to support them as long as the consistency continues to stay at the forefront w unmatched customer service, quality ingredients, and generous portions. I think this was a darn great review to dedicate as #1000 aye !! If you haven't visited, treat yourself! You won't be disappointed !!

Brian D.

The food was great and the service was what it was for 7pm. A lot of takeout orders. The young lady at the register was on point! Nice little spot to eat or takeout. This place is worth trying out. I got the bang banging AZZ burrito and Caesar salad.

I visited the Cafe 1908 today . They have a new Garden Cafe on the top level that specializes in herbal teas and remedies. It's a quaint cafe with wine options and even an Oxygen Bar. Great for those you are healthy conscientious and those looking for a serene escape from the hustle and bustle of the day. I met the owner Lola who was awesome. She's super friendly, has a great personality and conversation. She informed me about their $5 wine specials. Even the wines they offer are organic with low sugar content. I received a complimentary herbal tea which was really nice. I went with the Roasted Dandelion Detox Tea. It was great. I'll definitely be stopping by again soon.

I have to admit that I have quietly stalked this place for over six months through Instagram. The pictures looked so good, but I have been burned before by establishments that have a strong cult following, and the food is subpar. This place, my friends, is it and worth the internet following! My sandwich was so good that I stopped eating so that I could share it with my family, who agreed that my sandwich was fantastic. As for the service, I ordered online and picked it up, and to my surprise, the restaurant was empty. I am so glad I live far away from this place because I would eat here daily if I lived closer.

The cafe area -- normally closes after 11:30AM -- located upstairs. Absolutely beautiful and serene.

Fells Point

Oleum can best be described as vegan, chef inspired, fine dining. I was absolutely floored by how…read moregood everything was. To start with, the menu is very creative. You aren't going to find black bean burgers and cauliflower wings here (not that there is anything wrong with those). Instead, you will find small plates like Cannellini and Pan (bread with white beans) and Batata Harra (spicy Lebanese potatoes). Soups like Roasted Pumpkin. Mains like Steak, roasted veggies and Polenta in gravy. Pizzas like Meat Lovers with vegan bacon, pepperoni, sausage and spicy Italian sausage. There is plenty more dishes I just named the ones we ended up ordering. My wife started with a mocktail that included coconut and was meant to taste like a Creamsicle popsicle. Incredibly, it did. I was intrigued by a number of lattes but considering it was night and I had already reached my coffee quota for the day, I abstained. After that, we ordered and received our small plates and soup. The Cannellini and Pan was incredible. I don't know how to describe the bread. It looked like pita but it didn't taste or feel like any pita I've had before. The beans were flavorful, with a hint of spice. Speaking of spice, the Batata Harra was very spicy. Good, but definitely not for someone who can't handle spice. The soup was good but didn't really blow me away like everything else. Next came our mains, Steak and Polenta and the Meat Lovers Pizza. A lot of the pizza meats and cheeses are made in house at Oleum giving this pizza a unique taste all to itself. The crust was great, the meats were good with a hint of spiciness and the cheese was not too much and flowed with the rest of the pizza. The steak was a locally made vegan steak that cut and looked like real steak (I didn't quite have the same texture as I remember actual steak). Paired with polenta, mushrooms and Brussels and topped with gravy, this dish was incredible. To end it all, I took a carrot cake to go. Also excellent. The wait staff was incredible. Two different servers and the owner stopped at our table to check on us. Oleum is not cheap. This meal, with tip, was close to $150 dollars. But the quality and taste (and amount of leftovers) made the price more palatable. Will definitely be back!

I'm happy I got a chance to try the food at Oleum. These pics are from two visits. Upon my first…read morevisit, I ordered the kale ceasar salad and a butternut squash soup. 2nd visit was the breakfast burrito. Both times, the service was impeccable at the bar, and while being formally seated. As I'm not a vegan, I do frequent vegan places in hopes of finally transitioning, so I understand flavor profiles and what to expect/not expect. The salad dressing was a bit skimpy and the croutons were extremely hard. I asked for some honey to add to the sauciness of the dressing, which in hindsight, I should have just asked for more dressing. I've had vegan ceasar salad dressing before that somehow mimicked that anchovie-taste, which is what I expected here. For the soup, I had my mouth ready for a sweet savory taste, but instead it was salty savory which altogether changed my viewpoint on how this soup can be made. I asked for chili oil to give it a little pop. Onto the breakfast burrito - a sight to see! I'm not a breakfast burrito girl, but a friend let me taste her leftovers and I thought I HAD to have my own. At first bite, I can say it was a whole YES. My only ask was more seasoning, and to have cooked the tofu down just a bit more so it didn't give the consistency of a runny egg. I asked for sriracha, chili oil and ketchup to seal the deal. I highly suggest offering at least one of these sauces/oil as a free accoutrement, instead of charging per oz. Ambiance is always warm and inviting. The dark wood gives a homelike vibe and the music is on point. I will definitely be back for the breakfast burrito in hopes of more fun sauces on the side!

Everything was fresh, but next time, I'll ask for the dressing on the side. I'll also skip the grilled chicken--while the pieces were large, they lacked flavor, so I ended up picking them out. Fantastic First Visit to Honeygrow (Dock Street, Baltimore)…read more I stopped by Honeygrow on Dock Street in Baltimore on Friday, April 17th, 2026 around 5 p.m., and the entire experience was outstanding. I ordered a stir‑fry with brown rice, red curry, coconut tofu, kale, scallions, jalapeños, carrots, pineapple, chili flakes, cilantro, and the red coconut curry sauce -- plus an extra portion of the red cocoa base. It came to $17.43, including a dark cherry punch that was refreshing and not sugary at all. The food was incredibly delicious -- savory, balanced, and genuinely fulfilling. Every ingredient tasted fresh, and the flavors came together perfectly. Easily one of the best fast‑casual bowls I've had. The atmosphere was active and vibrant, with a clean, open cooking area where you can watch your meal being prepared. The entire facility felt well‑maintained and organized. Parking was surprisingly easy; I found a great spot right out front on the street and paid $2.75 for an hour, which was plenty of time to enjoy my meal. The weather was a beautiful 80°, and the whole area felt safe and peaceful -- a great day to be out and about. A special shout‑out to Craig, who made the visit even better. He walked me through the menu since it was my first time, explained everything clearly, and made sure I felt taken care of. Excellent customer service goes a long way, and he nailed it.
