The service is streamlined and the vibe is set by r house which is a football. The tenders were pretty big and I enjoyed the crisp of them even after dunked in the sauce. I also don't like that the only cheese (which was $0.49 extra) they had was provolone. I feel like there should be more cheese options. The service was fast. You can order on their self-kiosk and they will call your name when your order is ready. There is plenty of seating (and parking) as it is a food court. Dare I say the best fried chicken sandwich I've ever had! The chicken was so incredibly tender and flavorful, yet the batter was neither too thick nor too salty. This is a pretty easy spot in terms of choices...it's chicken tenders (which you can get on a sandwich too) with choice of side to go with. I found myself, after trying such a spot in NoVa, wishing we had a Sandos chicken spot in the Baltimore area. BRD is definitely that spot. Been to the R. house location a few times now and continue to enjoy the food although there is one inconsistency. We've ordered the Sandos and the chicken baskets. Tender chicken breasts fried to perfection and those seasoned fries with a kick are excellent! BRD sauce is similar to what some places call "comeback sauce" and cools the heat from the spicy. That said, they are inconsistent with the spicy (heat level). The most recent time we ordered it was to my liking and a bit too spicy for some of the family. (Before I thought their spicy wasn't hot enough). Would be great if they had a couple of heat levels as a suggestion. A few things you should know: This is NOT a chicken breast sandwich- it is a chicken THIGH sandwich. Not a huge deal, because I like thighs, but it's a little different if you're expecting breast. Everything. Is. Separate. There is no meal deal here. Sandwich is $9 by itself. Fries about $3.50. Fountain drinks $2 and change. Overall, you'd be spending almost twenty bucks for a chicken sandwich, fries, and a drink. Not ideal for a frugal gal like myself, but hey, you either buy it or not, right? I settled for just the sandwich and shared fries with my friend. R. House provides free water, which was nice. Now the sandwich was served on what seemed like a Hawaiian sweet roll. The downside to what could've been a pretty good sandwich was the fact that the maple butter and grease from the chicken made the bread super soggy. Butter and oil was everywhere! The flavors of the sandwich were very good- the chicken was very well seasoned. I probably would've enjoyed the chicken even more if it was by itself. As for the price, I don't think it was worth $9. Maybe $6 or $7. The pictures online looked extraordinarily better than mine, but it's the same sandwich. Would I go back? To R. House, yes. This is one of the many hidden gems of the R-House. When I say it's one of the Greta little places you have to visit in Baltimore if you haven't already. Plus parking isn't usually an issue cause of their large parking lot so that solves one of the major problems. But back to BRD which is the reason for my visit. Easily one of the best chicken sandwiches in town. They have greatly expanded the menu since I was last here (pre-covid) but I'm still stuck on these chicken sandwiches. My favorite is the Bmore sando that sauce is a banger. The only part I will say the service was subpar ion know if the cashier was having a bad day or just overwhelmed cause she was very hostile. It was nice that they have some complimentary parking available. BRD was definitely one of the more crowded stalls. My friend and I split the Bmore BRD and an order of fries (we were on a foodie adventure so didn't want to fill up too much!) The Bmore BRD is their fried chicken, dill pickle, old bay, and BRD sauce. It sounds so simple but is SO delicious. The portion of chicken on the sandwich is very generous.
