I always been meaning to try this place, because I love a good italian cold cut. I am always over on the Pigtown side of town, and I decided to grab a sandwich for dinner. These sandwiches are huge and good. I can never finish, always save the other half for later. I just keep it simple with the italian. Wow oh wow, the sandwiches here are big and amazing. We got the OG with LT light mayo, onion, Italian pepper, oil, vinegar, salt, pepper, oregano (basically the works) and it was probably the best deli sandwich I've ever had. Super cool spot, it takes time to make you an awesome sandwich but the owner was super nice, got it put together quickly. Very neat spot, would highly recommend. While I was waiting for my meatball sub one of the gentlemen brought out a sandwich that he said he was trying out for the menu & it was a sort of cold cut with prosciutto & pesto and it was phenomenal. As someone who literally would travel to Philly just for legit Philadelphia hoagies, I've been chasing that perfect roll-meat-cheese ratio here in Baltimore for a very long time. And THiS iS iT. The rolls? Soft with the perfect chew, just like an Amoroso roll. The meats are sliced fresh and thin, piled high, and layered with care--none of that limp, pre-sliced stuff you find at chain delis or wannabe "Philly Style Sub" carry outs. I always get the OG hoagie with everything, and it transported me straight back to Gooey Looies in South Philly. The oil and vinegar dressing was spot on, and did I mention that they didn't skimp on the meat. Bonus points for the excellent service and the kind of vibe that makes you want to come back weekly. Found this place on Google, ate half while I was there of my Philly cheesesteak and ordered two chicken cheesesteaks, they were delicious and the owner, Danny, is a solid guy. They've been there for about 18 months. They're gonna be there for quite some time. I finally made it to this neighborhood hoagie spot, and I only wish that I had tried it earlier. The Philly cheesesteak was delicious! The meat was tender and tasty and the toppings made the whole thing true to its namesake. I called in my order and the staff member was friendly, patient, and professional. Maybe I'm mis-remembering or reminiscing about a Conshohocken or Amoroso roll from my childhood. Overall, good for baltimore, but the rolls ain't right. Fix it, and you've got a winner. read more

We are pretty new residents to this quiet corner in the Pigtown community and we're usually on foot so, not a huge selection when it comes to places to eat. When we saw Luigi's, which had re-opened from a near-by location, we knew we had to try it out! Probably the GREATEST decision ever lol. Very delicious, REAL Italian style deli. I ordered a very good turkey hoagie for a fair price. All the meat and cheese is cut to order and the sandwich is packed full of meat and toppings. They have a very big menu that has all of the classics that you'd expect from a sandwich shop, along with a large assortment of hotdogs, sandwiches and other items.
