Fried chicken wing and rotisserie chicken wing. I wanted to try both.
    Syrita P.

I went to this restaurant because I heard they had excellent food and i wanted to support a local business. The food was good unfortunately the customer service no where to be found. For the area it appears this is what the customers are accustomed to. The food was good but not sure if it is worth the price considering the lack of customer service. I still wanted to try the cuisine for myself. I ignored the visibly irritated young man who took my order and acted as if he had something more importation do despite me being the only customer. I ordered one rotisserie wing, one fried chicken wing, a shrimp wrap and a slice of carrot cake. Both of the chicken wings were well seasoned the rotisserie was my favorite. I enjoyed the shrimp wrap and the roasted veggies that were on it but it certainly could've had more shrimp on it. The carrot cake was ok not great, too much frosting for my liking.

So, I had a taste for A Shareef's salmon platter. Well I thought I had taste for Shareef's platter. My platter was like a microwave dinner. It was like they took some saffron rice put a little canned salmon and broccoli in it and stuck it in the microwave. Then put some sweet sauce over top. And there is my platter. For $10 the platter should at least have some chunks of fresh salmon. And the sauce is a bit too sweet for me. I couldn't even finish a fourth of it. The wings looked good. But for $2 a wing I didn't want to take the chance and be more disappointed.

    Salmon Platter with extra sauce!!

I have always heard of Shareefs platters and wraps. I phoned in my order so that I wouldn't have to wait. I orders the salmon platter. Which was 10.00 plus tax. When I arrived my food was hot and ready!! All I can say is the platter was flavorful and delicious. I'm a lover of sauces and the sauce on top of the platter was amazing, they should definitely bottle it. I will be going back. Next I think I will try the rotisserie wings!!

The rotisserie wings were good. Skin was kind of flabby though and fries were basic. Not the best but decent if you are hungry.

I was here for an art show. it's really cool charmed kitchen partners with Baltimore Art Gallery to change out the art on their walls, and it's available for sale and it's all to support local artists. It is a little hipster bougie and the wine selection isn't bad. It's a little bit more mainstream. They have a lot of beer. I found a couple natural wines. The Portuguese wine that I normally buy for $9 was $14, but again there's a little bit of a service fee here since it's like a local corner store. I was so happy to see that I could buy Taharka brother's ice cream here because they recently pulled out a Broadway market, and I was having to drive outside of fells point but now I can just walk to this convenience store! The food has always been solid here, but I was so incredibly shocked at the grilled chicken Caesar salad honestly, I'm still thinking about the wrap and I want to get another one desperately. The house salad, which is an upcharge of four dollars was really delicious as well. Such a solid spot and they do lots of promos like on Wednesdays you can buy pasta and get a glass of wine for one cent. It's really such a cool place!

All very delicious. Oleum is one of Baltimore's , fully plant-based restaurants, serving creative, internationally inspired vegan cuisine. Located in the historic Fells Point neighborhood (with previous operations near the Inner Harbor), the independent, locally owned eatery is famous for scratch-made dishes that appeal to both vegans and meat-eaters alike Location & HoursAddress: 701 S. Bond St, Baltimore, MD 21231 (Fells Point)Vibe: An intimate, rustic dining space with a bar, exposed brick, and cozy sidewalk seating. Open for lunch, dinner, and a popular weekend brunch. The MenuCreated by chef-owner Alisha Adibe, the menu avoids highly processed meat substitutes in favor of fresh, global flavors and scratch-made vegan cheeses and meats. Popular highlights include:Miso Mushroom Bucatini: A fan-favorite pasta fusing Mediterranean flavors with inspiration from the chef's time living in Japan.Artisanal Pizzas: House-made dough topped with ingredients like harissa-marinated mushrooms, tahini, and hummus.Brunch: Highlights include their "strawberries and cream" or cinnamon pancakes, as well as hearty breakfast burritos.Desserts: The tofu-based tiramisu and carrot cake are highly rated . I feel like my expectations for the food were set by only vegans, which gave me a…read moreskewed perspective going in, so to my non-vegans out there, here's how I'd approach Oleum: It's incredibly impressive what they come up with in terms of recreating non-vegan dishes using plant-based-only ingredients. Creative, complex, and unexpected--and incredibly thoughtful. I definitely see why this is considered vegan fine dining: I'd think you'd have to be nothing short of a master chef to craft some of these dishes using only plant-based ingredients. It was fun to try a few of their 'how on earth did they make this vegan' menu items, but I also wish we'd ordered some dishes that are naturally closer to vegan, as I think that's where I'd be really blown away (beyond the novelty value, as a non-vegan diner). Highly recommend ordering a bunch of dishes and sharing them across the table so you get to sample lots of different foods and preparations. We ordered: SMALL PLATES Ravioli bravas Maryland style crab cakes Shrimp scampi ENTREES Blackened alfredo Mushroom miso bucatini Meat lovers pizza I went in with unrealistic expectations because I'd been told 'it tastes just as good as the non-vegan version--SERIOUSLY!' and because of the caliber of the restaurant, I didn't think to manage those expectations. So I hit a bit of an uncanny valley with pretty much all of the dishes: it tastes a lot LIKE a crab cake, but something's off about it...this is the FLAVOR profile of shrimp scampi, but the texture isn't right...etc. (except for the pastas, which I'll say none of us were very impressed by). I think that's a lot of their branding, though, because even their menu design is setting you up with that (wrong, imo) expectation: I actually had to confirm with the bartender that this was a vegan restaurant, because they list bacon, sausage, parmesan, provolone, and beef in their dishes! It's very confusing, haha. I think if I didn't have those expectations going in, and went in more with the curiosity of 'wow, how do they make a mushroom-based crab cake? or tofu that tastes like shrimp?!' that would have been a much better dining experience for me. After coming to the above realizations, I'm looking forward to returning and trying the dishes with a different lens. And I want to order some that are naturally plant-based, as I imagine those are really going to shine--no uncanny valley to be seen!

After 10 minutes of trying to get a bartender's or waiter's attention, we left. Months, later, we were craving sushi and decided to try again. This time we sat at the bar which is spacious enough and were helped immediately. Even though we wanted sushi, I couldn't resist the cheesesteak eggroll which was very good and came out hot. While it was a little oily, it was still tasty and enjoyable. We order 3 rolls and the fried Oreos to go and while I recommend the Oreos and cheesesteak eggrolls, I can't recommend the sushi here. The spicy tuna tasted canned, and the trio roll was way too fishy. The volcano was the best, but also just okay. You also don't get any ginger with your rolls. I think this place is better as a regular bar, but for an advertised sushi spot, it doesn't have great sushi.
