Smaltimore is another restaurant that I kept hearing about but never visited....that is, under this past Friday. My husband and I were kid-free, so we decided to have a little date night. Smaltimore was definitely a great choice. The venue is small, but what is expected for the area. I love that they have outdoor seating, definitely welcomed for Covid numbers going up and down on a daily! The staff is very friendly and attentive. They seem to remember faces and welcome regulars as family. The food was pretty good. My burger was a tad bit over-cooked, but tasty. Would have been better if it was cooked medium. My husband thoroughly enjoyed his volcano bowl and the sushi roll was good. I enjoyed the Buffalo chicken tenders the most. They were crunchy, fat and seasoned really well. I honestly cannot remember the names of the drinks we ordered, but they were good! My husband and I definitely enough our little random Friday date night here. Definitely a place I could see us meeting up with some of our couples friends. Nice vibe, good food and strong drinks. My type of place.

Small bar located in trendy neighborhood. Easy to walk to from where we were staying. Good bar food. Ordered a bunch of appetizers to share with our group. Waitresses were nice; multiple ones came around to check on us. However, trying to get the bill took longer than expected.

I got takeout from here about a month ago on a Wednesday hoping they would have their $9 sushi burrito but unfortunately I called a little after 7pm so the specials had ended, which was totally fine, ordered the smoky tuna sushi burrito and tako su appetizer anyways. When I got there to pick up my food, the bar was so full! Everyone seemed to be having a great time, it's a little small inside but cozy (can be good or bad because of covid) and in general it seemed like a great atmosphere. I would definitely go back just to sit at the bar or at one of the tables. The food itself though was pretty meh. I guess I can't be too surprised, I'm not sure why I expected great sushi from an American bar, but that's the only reason I'm giving Smaltimore 3 stars. The sushi burrito was pretty bland, didn't have as much filling (lots of rice but not too much else) as I would have liked, and the tako su just didn't do it for me which is unfortunate because I normally really like octopus. Again, I'm not sure how the other food is, and the bar itself was nice so I would definitely give it another shot, just won't be ordering from the sushi menu again.

I've heard positive things about this place and was excited to select it as my brunch outing for this month. It was very lackluster. The service was slow although there were only a few people at the bar. It took fifteen minutes to get water and it took me informing the waitress, after an hour, that we'd like to order food. We did observe patrons that arrived after us get their food quicker. The mimosas were good. Once we received the food, it was tasty but this is a definitely a one and done in my book.

I've heard so many great things about this place, as it's a favorite with the locals. The place is a little smaller than I expected, but still good in size with a lot of bar seats and high top tables. They have high top tables that fit 8 people, so it's a great spot for hanging out with friends. They also have a lot of TVs throughout the bar which makes this a great spot for watching games. I ordered the cheeseburger quesadilla which was pretty good for the price. I think next time I would just get the pickles on the side as I wasn't crazy about them inside of it. They also have happy hour and a bunch of different weekly specials that I'll definitely be back to try. Overall a good first experience of this place!

I was pleasantly surprised by this place! I was in the area going to a plant shop and we saw this on the corner and decided to try it. It's super cute and the food was delicious with lots of variety.. I recommend getting the fried mozzarella sticks and sushi. Yes sushi!!! You will be satisfied for sure. They also have a nice happy hour Mon - Fri and bottomless mimosas on the weekend. Check it out when you're in the Canton area!

This place is ok. I saw it has good reviews online as being a go to soccer bar and I wanted to check it out as I wanted see the semi final game today. The bar has a lot of tv's behind it, some blocked on the bottom by beer meister's. They have a great draft list and serve sushi plates starting at 4 PM. I arrived at 1:30 as they opened early for the game. I ordered a draft beer which was served warm so I didn't like it. Next I opted for a bottle of sake. I also ordered Grilled Chicken Tenders but received the fried ones. People make mistakes so I boxed them up (and threw them out outside) and once again ordered the grilled ones which I got. They were ok. They were large and tough, not ideal. I was charged for both orders even though the bartender screwed up. Anyway, I'm one and done here. They don't know how to serve sake properly as they just gave me a bottle unchilled to open and pour myself and the service was sub par. I really wanted to try the sushi but I was turned off when it turned 4 and decided to leave.

A few friends and I came here for a couple of rounds of late afternoon drinks, and enjoyed them at one of their two outside tables underneath beautiful blue skies and far from their bustling bar. To start, I opted for the Flying Dog Vicious Hook sour, which hit the spot. A fan of sour beers, this one was a good one. Then I had the Oliver Brewing Co I Wish I Was At The Yard, a local American Pale Ale, which was also good (and lower in alcohol content). Also, if you're a fan of trivia, Monday night is trivia night!

I actually enjoyed the food here and the variety! They got beers, sushi style stuff, american bar food and wine. what more could you ask for? better service. that's another topic for later. We ordered crab dip and nachos for the table, that was good! I had chicken tenders for main, nicely fried and fat food. I enjoyed them. Some others ordered sushi burrito which looked amazing .. but packed with rice so be prepared! Lastly, the service sucked. They don't come back to check in on you and our server left halfway without giving us a heads up. We were left with no server for a good 30-40 mins and took forever to flag someone down. So, just go to the bar and get your tab or order if you need someone's attention. Besides that, food is good!

The wife and I wanted to have a Friday night date at a restaurant we hadn't tried yet. Smaltimore was perfect for that. Great atmosphere, good drinks, and even better food. The volcano bowl was excellent. My wife's Smaltimore burger was beautifully executed with the fried egg(I wish I had got it as well). We will be back, I think next time we will bring some friends.

This review is purely for their sushi burrito! Staff was friendly and bar was a great vibe! Bartender who gave me my to go order was fantastic and friendly ! In my sushi burrito quest in baltimore, i tried out Smaltimore sushi burrito. Yes , they have sushi, and are among the only restaurants in the east side of Baltimore that has burritos. While i prefer Edoritto or even the iFusion spot in the inner harbor, i needed something east of Broadway. I had tried Smaltimores burritos maybe 4-5 years Back and wasn't impressed because they served a sushi burrito in a flour tortilla. BUT, when i checked their menu again and saw no flour tortillas and a few fresh options, i decided to try again, I ordered the Smokey Tuna sushi burrito. It's supposed to have seared peppery tuna, spicy pickled cabbage, spicy Mayo, avocado, spinach, cucumber and Katsu crunch. Well, this extremely loosely rolled burrito was not spicy and the fish was a bit too "fishy" smelling if you know what i mean... the toppings were minimal and this was just a lot of rice. Not sure if they forgot the spicy Mayo, but this needed something saucy to tie it together. The raw spinach was also such an awkward choice... not pleasant in the mouth. Really disappointed because Smaltimore had such an opportunity to clean up in the sushi burrito game! More toppings, more flavor, more sauce,..... and less rice. Won't be returning for sushi

I love coming here for Monday night trivia. It helps that the happy hour specials go all night on Monday! Big fan of the orange crush here.

Food is great. Wait staff is not. They are more interested in their phones than serving customers. Too bad

The service is always great, and having a big party is never a problem. The servers are attentive and organized, making it easy to pay for what you got at the end of your day at Lee's. When going out in Canton, I always uber, as I don't live walking distance and I know parking can be hard. However, with Lee's being located in such a fun area, you can easily bar hop and have the best time. I hope to go back to Lee's soon for their one of their oyster events and even enjoy other delicious menu items.

Note, my daughter had put ketchup on plate before realizing the oversight. So, when the MANAGER brought the food back, I'm thinking it was a show of good faith given the error. Nope. He had a smug attitude and puts the plate on the table where I immediately notice the original plate was reused because it had the ketchup smear. I asked him if this was the same sent back plate of food and he said "yes" and said the added the avocado. They UNWRAPPED the original wrap and just added the avocado and brought the entire plate back. I immediately questioned how that follows food handling guidelines. If they weren't going to redo the order, they could have just brought avocado slices to the table! The MANAGER had a very dismissive, RUDE attitude and so I sent everything back and left. I did tip the waitress cash because she was great and had got us drinks by that point. Again, she was nice and side-eyed the manager agreeing what he did was not acceptable. Apparently he also had a rep for being rude and nasty. I will never eat there again. You have a kitchen with seafood and meats and have no food handling controls? Yeah, miss me with the risk of food poisoning or cross-contamination. No thank you! You're rude to customers and have no standards? Whoever runs the kitchen should know better as should the manager. I can only imagine what else goes on in that kitchen. Dine there at your own risk.

The Rockefeller oysters were the best I have had yet... the spinach and cheese stuffing was absolutely delicious. The gorgeous weather played a major role in how electric the atmosphere was, and the outside patio was jubilant and filled with patrons. Now for me the raw oyster tower selection pushed my experience over the top. The oysters were fresh and chilled to perfection. And for the record, the menu is filled with a lot more tasty dishes than just oysters... so I encourage you on the next nice day ( over the spring & summer ) to stop by Mama's on the Half Shell for an experience that won't disappoint.

Good people watching--out the window to the folks outside below, but also into the kitchen just behind us. We observed a very well-run establishment. Several staff including the manager, who had a great sense of humor and kind-spiritedness, stopped by to check on us. We didnt end up ordering brunch since items on the other menus won us over very quixkly: the crab cake eggrolls (appetizer) and the crab grilled cheese (lunch). Being ambitious, we did ask the server to leave the menu behind, just in case. There was so much deliciousness to choose from But alas, we were satiated. To drink, we skipped the bottomless Mimosa and Bloody Mary and opted instead for a Blood Orange Margarita (which was more berry-like in color) and a Passion Fruit Mezcal Sour. Both were a tad sweet for our preference but very good otherwise. Would definitely recommend and hope to return.
