Moved to the neighborhood in March and at the behest of my wife I reluctantly came here one night for Burger night and needless to say she was right again! The food here is great. You would think oh hell no it's just a shit hole bar but the small kitchen in the back will greatly surprise you and you won't be disappointed! Plus we don't drink and don't usually go to places like this because of idiots who want to get stupid but not here this is a neighborhood place so far no BS while we have been here. Try this place you will like it! Tuesday nights are steak night get a 16 oz New York strip and 2 sides for $11.95 can't beat that!

He walked across the bar, mossied up to me, greated me and sat in my lap. He languished there for a good five minutes until he got bored and went about whatever cat business he had on the agenda. The venue is mid sized. There is an L shaped bar with plenty of seating. There are inside tables and a few seats outside in the front. The music was a mix of hip hop and more recent r&b, but I would imagine that changes depending on the crowd. I could drink here all day, and almost did, but there were more breweries in "Ballamore" I wanted to explore. The BEER: The Doctor Says I'm Hazy NEIPA 6.5% ABV... He was very much enjoying his nap while we were there, but I hope to give him some love if he's out and about next time we are there. The beers they had during this visit weren't my favorite styles, but they did have a Black Forest stout I ended up enjoying. I'll definitely return and see what other beers they have in rotation!

The fried green beans *chef kiss* As a big fan of mac and cheese, I was not the biggest fan of this mac and cheese. I wonder if the Asiago cheese (?) was quite strong, overpowering in flavor, I would recommend a lot of old bay if you order it, or if you like a basier mac and cheese then you will be a fan! Nonetheless, I really like this pub, definitely adding it to my list of cool places I'd show to friends who are coming to Baltimore. I look forward to coming back again and trying other vegan hot dogs on the menu.

I actually found Union Hill while planning my friend's 40th birthday dinner from another state, and from the moment I reached out, everything just flowed. I inquired about hosting a dinner and one of the owners, Matt, got back to me within a day. From there, the planning felt effortless. He answered all my questions, stayed in communication, and really helped bring the whole vision together. We had close to 30 people for the dinner in one of their private dining areas, and when I say the staff was impeccable... they were ON IT. My friend had no idea where she was going, so this was a full surprise. Once we gave the staff the green light, they were ready and immediately started accommodating everyone. Everything just flowed from there. We did family-style appetizers, which I loved because everyone got to try a little bit of everything. Everything was flavorful and came out at the perfect pace. For my entrée, I had the salmon and it was so good. And listen... I hosted the whole thing, ate there that night, AND still had leftovers to take home. That's always a win. They were also super accommodating leading up to the event. I was able to drop off the cake and cake pops the evening before, and I was even able to decorate the private dining area, which made everything feel really personal. What could have easily been a stressful experience ended up feeling seamless. The restaurant atmosphere is beautiful. The private dining area worked perfectly for our group, and they even have an upstairs outdoor area as well as a downstairs outdoor space, which I didn't get to experience this time but definitely want to the next time I go back. I'm so grateful I came across Union Hill Kitchen & Craft Bar. It made such a special occasion even better.

And I love that they give back to the community in areas such as education, community and philanthropy. Stopped in this past Saturday with a bunch of my gym friends. Oh and this is the spot where they have that really nice flea market as well. You have to check their Instagram page to see which food trucks will be serving food. The old church and architecture is so warm and inviting-- it was still decorated and lit for Christmas so it felt extra festive. It WAS weird to see the brew tanks at the front of the old church, where the altar would have been. But it also places the beer on the altar of our Friday night so I was OK with that. I had an American Pale Ale, the husband had a Kolsch. My beer was exceptional and delicious. My husband said the kolsch was OK. They also have a cute space with books and board games! As well as a cool merchandise wall with excellent cool t-shirts. I had to restrain myself. There is no kitchen or food served here. Order at the bar and sit where you want, there are plenty of tables and a lot of elbow space. The folks at the bar are Super Nice and you should tip them well. They told me there is usually a food truck that shows up at an undisclosed time in the evening. We did order some fantastic pretzels (w/ smoked gouda) and waited some more but ultimately had to go find a meal elsewhere. We will be back, perhaps in warmer weather to wait out the food truck and have more beer. Also, we were there for happy hour so our beers were $5! Thank you to all of the kind people at The Ministry of Brewing! We will be back.

The service was a little prompt but a little confusing as we had two waitresses that did not seem to be communicating since we got asked the same question multiple times by both. The food did come out quickly though! I ordered The Roma sandwich and swapped the fries for the kale caesar salad. The chicken was juicy and paired well with the fresh tomato, field greens, and creamy aioli. The fresh rosemary focaccia was buttery, however, it was still dry and flaky and fell apart rather easily so it was hard to actually eat it as a sandwich. The kale salad was veryyy creamy and heavily dressed with lots of cheese so that's great if that's your jam- I just enjoy a lighter salad. I did steal a french fry from my friend and they were salty, crispy, and quite delicious. The rest of the food was ordered by my friends and are their flavor reports. The hangover burrito was devoured by my two friends, but the words "structural integrity" were mentioned multiple times- unsure if this was due to a weak tortilla, wrapping skills, or a combination of both. My friend's shroom burger was average- the patty was a little dry and underseasoned, but the umami mushrooms and garlicky sauce saved it. The beet burger was savory, paired well with the vinegar and aioli sauces, and is a great vegetarian option. My biggest complaint about this establishment was the price. The food was all decent, but my bill for one drink and one sandwich was $50 total, which I deem as pretty steep.
