I'm leaving this review after making multiple attempts to address this matter privately and receiving no response. My husband and I visited Jilly's Bar & Grill in Pikesville on February 27, 2026. This was our second visit. We ordered several items, including stuffed shrimp, a Greek salad, and wings. There was an issue with the stuffed shrimp. The only stuffed shrimp listed on the menu is tempura stuffed shrimp, yet we were served broiled stuffed shrimp. When I calmly brought this to our server's attention, she acknowledged it was a mistake and suggested placing a new order, even though the kitchen was already closed. I did not ask for the food to be remade and only intended to point out the inconsistency. Shortly after, a woman who had been seated nearby approached me and asked about my order. She later identified herself as Chrissy, the General Manager. During the conversation, she stated, "We always try to correct customers." I explained that I believed the issue was with the menu, not the customer. I felt the interaction was handled in a way that was dismissive and uncomfortable, especially as it took place in front of others. The food quality also did not meet my expectations. The $16 Greek salad appeared to have lettuce and olives that were not fresh to me, and the wings were dry. We left most of the food uneaten. Despite this experience, we paid our bill in full and tipped 22%, bringing our total to $160.51. I also want to share how the situation felt from my perspective. My husband and I were the only young Black couple seated among a group that appeared to include staff or management. The tone of the interaction left me feeling dismissed and disrespected. That is my personal experience. After our visit, I sent a detailed email on March 2, 2026, and a follow-up on March 9, 2026. I did not receive any response or acknowledgment. I believe most businesses deserve the opportunity to address concerns directly, which is why I reached out first. The lack of response ultimately led me to leave this review. This is a busy packed local bar. Friendly staff, TVs, beer, no frills. I don't really think that reviews on Yelp are going to sway people who are thinking of going here or not. As most people coming here, already know about it and also there isn't many other places to eat nearby. That and because they have night with deals ($10 meat burger night ...). Big menu ... so, as usual when there is a such a large variety on the menu (seafood, salad, burgers, BBQ etc...) nothing it going to really stand out and the safest choice is burgers and fried food (hard to mess up). I got a house salad, that was sort of meh, i.e. fine but no great shakes with too many raw onions & olives. The Beyond Burger was well done and they have relish, which is a plus (many places don't have that condiment). The regular burger was good (so I was told). My son had the chicken parm, and the pasta was chewy and underdone. They have trivia night, which looks like fun There is a 3% charge to all orders if you are paying by credit card The decor is fun and there are baseball cards in the front lobby and the men's bathroom. It was the poor customer service and The limited parking for me. Most of the staff i encountered was flat out rude and not approachable. I didn't care for the crowd or vibes inside either. There is a sign that says "wait here to be seated" but then bar tender told me to seat myself. I personally don't care for "seat yourself " establishments. At first I wasn't going to leave this review (hence no pictures of food) but I had such a good time!! I come to Jilly's very often. It's a no-frills, laidback, family friendly restaurant. Their food is always good with generous portions. The service is friendly and quick. I went last night for cream of crab soup and it happened to be Family Feud night. Of course, I stayed for the game with prizes like a gift card or pint of beer. Apparently they have Family Feud every Tuesday at 730pm. They also have karaoke some nights. I've been going to Jillys my entire life, and my mom and grandmother and uncle before me! The original building burned down and they rebuilt it recently- it's totally different inside but it's still welcoming. The food is good- however they were out of egg salad the last two times I went in. They have live music and daily specials. It's a no frills local dive bar with good food. read more

I went to Jilly's for lunch with a good friend recently. It was on a Friday afternoon around noon & it was surprisingly buzzing with patrons. I assumed that it would've been quiet because it was so early in the day, but it wasn't! The restaurant has street parking on the front, but it's probably best to park in the back. There's two lots behind Jilly's- one directly on the restaurant's grounds, and one across the road. Be sure not to park on the lots of the businesses next door- I definitely saw tow signs and I didn't want to find out if they actually did or not. Anyhoo, the restaurant on the inside is pretty much like the normal sports bar set up- a bar towards the front, tables and booths- nothing extraordinary. It was neat and clean. Kinda dark, but that wasn't a bad thing, just an observation. The tables weren't totally filled when we came, but by the end of our lunch, it was a packed house! I wanted something kinda light, so I settled for the half shrimp salad sandwich combo with chili (no cheese). My friend decided upon the shrimp salad wrap and fries. Everything WAS SO GOOD!!! The chili was meaty, fresh and so flavorful! The onions paired well, adding additional flavors. I tried a few fries & they were delicious and crispy. I dipped them into the chili-absolute chef's kiss! They were delicious and crispy. The shrimp salad was the star of the show! I had the salad on rye and it was just fantastic! Fresh, plump shrimp with juuust the amount of Old Bay & mayo. Ugh! I wish I had it right now! I'm definitely going back one day soon to get exactly what I had again, lol! Maybe I'll try the sandwich on a Kaiser roll next time. This is my second time being back since the remodel. I'm usually a salad girl and grab a beer to accompany it (balance, right lol). I love Jilly's has an array of beers to select from. While they have a pretty decent bar, in the past the drinks in my experience have been too sweet so I stick to the beers. In fact, before they closed down temporarily due to the fire, I found my first beer here in my 20s(fun fact!). Instead of a salad today, I opted for the burger and we also had wings. The burger was great, despite the bread being too thick. Our server Chrissy was attentive and super patient. She recommended items on the menu and was patient with me while I was selecting a beer to drink. She's a sweetheart! We came to watch the NCAA final form game and it wasn't as packed as we thought it would be. We came in just enough food timing. We were accommodated at a high top table near the front of the restaurant and that was perfect as we were able to catch the game on one of the many big televisions. Parked on the parking lot in the back. Stopped here for lunch. Even though you enter in the back you have to go to the front only for us to be told that we could seat ourselves. It was busy for the time of day. It had a pretty neat decor. Customers and workers were very friendly. I ordered stuffed grouper with a Caesar salad and Mexican rice. Next time I will pass on the rice. I didn't care for it. I ordered a margarita for my drink. It was delicious. You could definitely taste the liquor. I can't wait to return. I've been a longtime patron of Jilly's and hands down the atmosphere has never wavered. Scott is hands on and the staff are beyond remarkable. Sadly today I was extremely disappointed I ordered a New York Strip and when I received it was well done and I ordered medium. Chrissy was quick to take it back and the cook the 2nd time was perfect but 1/4 of the steak was inedible due to gristle. Now I know you can't expect steak house quality from a grill but I can say with all certainty that in the past the steak was always amazing. You could honestly cut it with a spoon. On a more positive note the drinks were perfecto even though they were out of the scotch I requested Chrissy made due with what was in house. I will never order a steak again but I'll go back to see if the smoked wings are still as amazing as they always have been. read more

First ... and last time here. Benefits: Lots of parking, nice server, cute atmosphere. Cons: Drink menu is weak, from a bartender, lots of foo foo ingredients and mixers not a lot of liquor. The server herself called the drinks "syrupy" and "too sweet." Food menu looked appealing but all of it was bland and terrible. We got 6 different items and the wings were the best out of all of them. The burger was undercooked and the cheesesteak was chewy and had no flavor what so ever. After we ate we headed to the bar to watch the live music we were acknowledged at all by the bartender. My glass was empty wasn't asked if I wanted another one. This was at 10:20, 40 mins prior to close & the guy playing music was still on. The only thing that saved this place was our server and the hostess other than that this place needs a lot of work for food and drinks. Won't be returning & do not recommend. read more

This was my first time visiting this GEM!! Parking situation is a little rough. There is parking in the rear, but I had no idea and had to figure out which lot (which was simple). The food was pretty good. I ordered the cream of crab soup. It was tasty, PIPING HOT but a tad spicy. It also lacked lump crab pieces, but the flavor was ample. The nachos were BAD (sent them bad). They were left in the salamander too long and therefore over cooked. Everyone else in my group loved their food. The shrimp quesadillas were a SMASH!! The pearl of the establishment is the patio seating area in a nice day. There is a good amount of seating, ample covering and great plants and flowers to block the street. I will return read more

I visited Jilly's on the 26th of January for my mother's birthday, and let me tell you, the wings and onion rings are 5 STARS!!! You have to get the Jilly's smoked wings over their regular wing, the smoked were moist and juicy and had that charred smoke taste. The only con is if you're a blue cheese eater, their version is very watery, so I'd advised to ask for your wing sauce on the side. As far as their drinks......I'll pass on their long Island iced teas, they weren't to my liking. Drove by today and decided to stop in for lunch. I mean why not, the weather's nice and the outdoor patio looked beautiful. Once inside there was plenty of seating throughout the entire restaurant and bar . Very nice decor.. I sat outside which was a great choice lots of seating as well , not to mention the palm trees and plants give the space a nice tropical feel. My waitress was very welcoming. Bad service! Up until now, I never had a problem. After the hostess had ignored us, or spaced out, or both, my friend and I sat at an empty table. Mind you, we did not cut anyone in line. Then, the "hostess" and "vice-hostess" decided to make a power-play issue. Refusing to feed into this childish, but aggravating, hostile game we went across to the nearby Pikes Diner and had an equally satisfying meal. I have never had a problem with Jilly's in 10 years. Enjoyed the food. Place was hopping yet service was good and quick. Friendly staff. We started with the pretzels with beer cheese. The cheese was cold and the pretzels were swimming in butter. We sent the cheese to be reheated and then it came out perfect. Very tasty dish. The sliders looked great, the buffalo chicken sandwich was fine but my husband said the wrap was better. My salad was huge with canned pineapple and a huge amount of shrimp, although not super high quality shrimp. I ordered wings, specifically asked for all flats and received the mix. Wings tasted as if sauce was more or less dumped on wings after cooked. I asked as I was seated if there was an event coming as I saw a large table "reserved", was told no, what do you know? A large birthday party ensued. Within 30 minutes I was unable to hear myself order an entree!
