The salsa roja was not overbearing in spice and added a subtle savoriness. 8/10 The torta de pastor was stacked with substance yet not exaggeratedly big for the bite. The queso Oaxaca (or wtv the cheese is) was buttery and stringy. 8.5/10. The limonada was not too forward in sugar and you can really appreciate the limón here. Not too bitter though.

CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE - TORCHY'S TACOS…read more My visit to Torchy's Tacos was an experience worth talking about. From the moment I walked through the door, I was impressed not only by the service but also by the restaurant's overall atmosphere and aesthetics. I was greeted immediately by DAVID, and let me tell you -- he was an absolute jewel. His energy, professionalism, and personality were unmatched. He explained the menu so thoroughly and enthusiastically that I felt like he was a walking taco encyclopedia. I had seen the sign outside advertising the TWO STEP DEAL, and although I was walking between Houston Hot Chicken and Torchy's, the sign -- and the vibe -- pulled me right in. Aesthetics & Atmosphere The inside of Torchy's was neat, modern, and visually appealing. The décor was clean and stylish, with a layout that made the space feel open and welcoming. Even with the Texas heat blazing outside, the temperature inside was perfectly comfortable -- cool enough to relax, enjoy my meal, and forget about the heat for a moment. The restaurant was spotless, and the staff worked diligently to keep everything tidy despite the busy rush. David's Exceptional Service David broke down the Two-Step Deal with clarity, even explaining how the price changes based on the taco selection. He recommended several options, and I ultimately chose the Chicken Fajita and the Baja Shrimp tacos. The Baja Shrimp taco would have been better on a flour tortilla -- that was my own oversight -- but the Chicken Fajita taco gave me life. The chicken was moist, the veggies were heaven‑sent, and when I asked for extra veggies, David made it happen without hesitation. He also guided me through the salsa choices -- red or green -- and helped me select a drink to complete the meal. At one point, the utensil station was out of forks. I walked over, and David immediately restocked everything. Even with the restaurant being busy, he remained attentive, calm, and focused on customer satisfaction. BRANDON's Attentiveness When I sat down, I needed sauces but couldn't get anyone's attention because the team was working nonstop. That's when Brandon stepped in. He graciously brought me the sauces I needed to create the perfect tasting experience. His attentiveness didn't stop there. As I was leaving, I refilled my drink but needed to use the restroom. BRANDON noticed me finishing up and politely asked if he could hold my drink while I stepped away. It was such a simple gesture, but the thoughtfulness behind it truly touched my heart. Final Thoughts This Torchy's Tacos team is amazing -- professional, kind, attentive, and genuinely invested in creating a great customer experience. The aesthetics were clean and inviting, the temperature was comfortable despite the Texas heat, and the service was top‑tier from beginning to end. I cannot wait to return and visit again. Torchy's Tacos delivered an experience that was flavorful, warm, and unforgettable.

There has not been a queso I have ever had that compares and I fear will not ever be one to surpass it. It is so rich, smooth, the scoop of guac adds layers, the green chiles make me want to dance, and the extra spice of diablo sauce truly make this a supernatural creation. Since moving out of Texas it is the one menu item I think about at least once a day and live for to return to and have again. My 2026 new years resolution is to convince Torchy's Corporate to open a location in NYC. Thank you for this creation. Now that Ive expressed feelings about the queso, lets talk about the tacos. So many to choose from including a secret menu which is so fun. My fav which I always have to get is the Trailer Park. Probably the furthest thing from an authentic taco but hey it's genius and it's delicious so just silence and eat it. The chicken is always crisp, and the green chiles once again make me want to dance. I also tried their taco of the month this month which was the Swinger. Pork had such a fire flavor and the pineapples were juicy, really enjoyed this one!

An omen, as it were. Well, we decided to stop in and give it a try for an early dinner. The place was slow because, well, it was early. We ordered some queso and a bunch of street tacos (10). Some adult bevs, too. Folks... The meal was friggin' awesome! We devoured every morsel and patted our bellies. There was a brief moment where I was considering ordering another 5 tacos. I did not. The only reason that 5 stars were not given? It was loud. I mean the music playing on the sound system was really loud. I'm sure that loud was the target vibe, but wow... I can only imagine how loud it would be if they were workin' a DJ or a live band.
