This is what they consider to be a Chilaquiles plate

Don't order the chilaquiles unless you actually want migas. I have had chilaquiles many different places and this absolutely isn't it.

    2 Cheese Enchiladas

Ordered their cheese enchilada plate .... What I got was tortillas and cold cheese! Not even melted inside was the same shredded cold cheese. Had to heat up and the flavor was so bland. Best part was the rice and beans. I won't be coming back.

I've been looking for a "west coast" style taco shop around Houston for quite awhile and I've stumbled across Los Balito's .... I think I've found the winner!! Only came here for carne asada fries and the California burrito - both satisfied my craving!! Carne asada fries: crispy fries, tender meat, huge portion. Loved it! California Burrito: just as good as the carne asada fries but in burrito format. Huge burrito as well, definitely did not skimp on portion. Will be back to satisfy my cravings!

    Bacon & Egg Breakfast Taco

Great hidden jewel if you have not tried need to great service and great food.would not pass on this place love it.

This place is always a hit. I used to live on the West Coast, and this place gave me nostalgia to the taco shops there. I usually get the carne asada fries or california burrito yum. This visit I got the sausage, egg, potato, and cheese breakfast burrito. Everything is made fresh, and it was very filling. Go hungry. I promise you'll be satisfied and full.

Receipt where she tipped herself 5 dollars

Good food but BEWARE ALWAYS ASK FOR AND CHECK YOUR RECEIPT!! Ever since i been coming to this restaurant i always tell them keep the receipt. The total would always be significantly greater than the menu price but i thought maybe inflation. But yesterday i only ordered nachos and the cashier told me okay $14 and some change is my total. Okay great no problem. i tap my phone to pay and my bank sent me a notification saying it was 20 dollars and some change. Before i can ask her why so much? she closed the drive thru window and never returned. She sent a young man back to hand me my food. So i asked him to give me my receipt and also to tell her to come back to the window to explain what happened. She came back to the window and said it was an error and she will give me back the difference in cash. I checked the receipt and she tipped herself 5 dollars. Check your receipt people.

Burrito.... Everything is separate. This is the worst and dumbest way to roll a burrito.

Just see the pic. Kinda says it all. Rolling a burrito must be so confusing. Wasn't that good anyway. Oh, we also asked for our coffee cups 4 times and never got them because apparently they refuse to serve you your drink while you're waiting for your food. Definitely never going back.

    Beef Super Nachos

100% recomendado.

    Carne Asada Fries

Wow! This has made my day. My husband and I used to live in San Diego and my go to was always a California burrito or Carne Asada fries. We found this place on Google and decided to drive 52 minutes since I've been craving this. The serving size were just as big as what they would serve in California. The fries could easily be shared by 2-3 people. The carne asada was perfectly seasoned and not bland at all. Just the right amount of cheese and guacamole! The fries can be just a tad bit crispier but we're still amazing. The California burrito is heavy and the size of my forearm. It's pretty big but my husband ate it without a problem. We asked for fries instead of regular potatoes and wanted to add guacamole but they didn't give us guacamole or substitute for fries. The burrito was still amazing! Overall, I would recommend this place! It's not your regular TexMex. It's Baja style Mexican food. Hope you enjoy just as much as we did. We will Be returning for sure.

Let's start with location, Taco Fuego has 5 locations to choose from. A mixture of store front and taco trucks. I decided to stop at their Katy location (taco truck) located at 1005 Katy fort bend road. This truck was very easy to find. My husband and I really wanted give this place a try for a couple reasons, 1. Every picture you see on IG makes your mouth water lol. 2. Their meat is fresh and locally sourced! The truck itself is nice, and clean. Also has a little Led sign that says catch tacos not feelings super cute for an IG photo. Service was quick, friendly and informative. We ordered a few different tacos to try: The Quesabirria Taco~ Birria or chicken, cheese, limes, cilantro and pickled onions on a corn tortilla. This one was really good and it definitely has a bit of a kick. The meat is so flavorful you do not need to add any additional sauces. The Barbacoa Taco~ Beef Barbacoa, cilantro, onions and salsa verde on a corn tortilla. This one was in the top 2 for me. Yum!! That beef was cooked to perfection! The Texan Taco~ brisket, Monterey Jack cheese, corn, cilantro, pickled onions and creamy cilantro on a flour tortilla. My husband inhaled it. Lolol. I got a tiny bite and it was very good. All of the flavors worked together so well! The Shrimp Taco~ my absolute favorite! Fried Shrimp, Monterey Jack Cheese, Sour Cream and Cajun sauce on a flour tortilla. The shrimp was fire. Perfectly seasoned. I don't know what they put in that Cajun sauce but they need to bottle it so I can take it home! Other things to note: Everything is halal They offer a veggie taco option They offer more than tacos. Ex: Ramen, Burgers, pupusas, empanadas, flautas and tamales. Churros for dessert! Drinks include: Horchata, lemonade and Cantaloupe. Be prepared to dine in your car.

And after taking our drink order and bringing our drinks, the friendly waitress went to sit down and play on her cell phone. The problem was we needed napkins. Napkins weren't on the table nor were they self service. Since she was playing on her cell phone, she wasn't doing her table rounds to be available to ask for napkins. Chips and salsa can naturally be messy. All it takes is one little boo-boo with salsa, and it splatters on the table. After what felt like 5 to 10 minutes, she eventually came back around to take our food order, but her lack of attention and behavior had already messed up the customer service experience. The real crime here is the food flavor itself. I ordered the taco mix. This is a simple way to judge the restaurant by its protein flavor. Each street size taco allowed a glimpse into the seasoning and preparation of their food. The El Pastor was lacking flavor. There was only one tiny pineapple tidbit. The Birria taco just has bad seasoning. The Carne Asada that had no sear or color, so it was gray and mushy. Cheese, crema, and avocado cannot make up for meat that doesn't taste good. While the server was friendly, it doesn't make up for the fact that the food itself is bad. And when you think about how tacos are so easy to make if all it involves is seasoning, a protein and cooking it. They're botching up simple cooking techniques and use bad recipes. The street cart concept is certainly fun. We did the churro cart, and it was fun to see the sparkler. The birthday girl liked the music and the churro experience. The Nutella chocolate is too firm so it doesn't really stick to the churro as well. It would be better if they made a Nutella sauce then straight up ultra thick Nutella. The cajeta was a bit sour because it's goat milk, not cows milk. I would prefer a caramel over cajeta. The best dipping sauce was the condensed milk. To their credit, the churros were fresh and piping hot. Still, this isn't the kind of place I would not want to return to for the simple fact that the food was not good. These kinds of dining experiences make you think I'm better off, cooking at home then driving to the restaurant, settling for so so service, paying for mediocre food. I wish restaurants collectively needed to pass some kind of flavor standard or cooking consistency to earn a restaurant license because at this rate mediocre food is being served, and the customer is not the wiser until they sit down and taste it. It also surprises me that these kinds of places can survive for years and years through serving mediocre food. I can't recommend it. I wouldn't return.
