We're officially obsessed with But First Donuts.... We visited originally after seeing their post online, and then came back not once, not twice, but several times -- because each visit keeps delivering new flavors! These aren't your traditional donut. They are LOADED bombolini's. Which kinda remind us of a malasada donut or jelly/cream filled donut, but there is something about their texture that is so unique! Think mochi donut meets brioche -- chewy, fluffy, dense enough to hug and hold allll that homemade creamy filling inside! The donuts are so fresh, covered in a sugary outside and are heavenly! You'd think they'd be super sweet based on the outside, but honestly they are so well balanced it's trippy and addicting! We've tried several flavors and while each have been its own winner some of the standouts were: -Orange Cream -Blueberry -Chocolate Brigadeiro -Apple Cider Beyond taste, everything else is top tier too -- the couple that owns the food truck is incredibly friendly and help you navigate the menu for recommendations if needed. It's located at the Lawn on South Congress. Which is set up with other food vendors, picnic tables and umbrellas so you can dine there. It's honestly tough seeing their weekly flavor releases, because we could eat them EVERY weekend! But First Donuts is one of the best donuts we've had in Austin and highly recommend giving them a try! Whether you do or don't love sweets they seriously rock! We'll definitely be back!

We got all the flavors - strawberries and cream, blueberry jam, Nutella, coconut Dulce de leche. Our favorites were the strawberries and cream + the blueberry jam. The bread is very soft. The strawberries and cream was our number one. Light and airy. Very fast, great service. The donuts were fresh and DELICIOUS! The space is nice. Our exportations were surpassed. We will be back!

Such a delicious doughnut treat! In a tiny food truck park with some seating. The service was quick but they do make it for you so it's not immediate. If you're looking for a filled doughnut with some unique and delicious flavors give them a try! It was super easy to stop by and pick one up within 5 min when I went. No regrets!

Donuts dough is so soft and fluffy! Got the strawberries and cream, which was not too sweet and very light. I can see why they run out, great place if you want to try a unique donut!

So good! The Brazilian tres leches were my favorite by far. Can't wait to come back to try more flavors

Hey, this is not a reflection of the donut place. I just don't have any experience other than when I showed up. They were already closed and out of donuts. That's OK. Another day another donut. It's a very cute little food park atmosphere. What's not the like when you arrive? I will probably up my rating once I sync my teeth into these flavorful pastries. Looking forward to my next visit would like to experience what others are saying about this place!

This place is legendary for a reason…read more I always recommend avoiding the drive-thru in favor of actually standing in line and going up to their walk up window because it'll save you minutes on the hour. A few things to knock out briefly: Their kolaches are pretty good, and I'm always getting at least one when I pull up. Their black coffee stands on its own. It's some peak donut shop coffee. Now the rest: Their donuts are so gas. They are bright orange, yeasty, and incredible. It's hard to explain what the difference really is between them and everywhere else, but if you try one of their glazed donuts fresh out the box, it's undeniable. Their cake ones are also fantastic. It's interesting to never see those get the praise that their glaze gets. As a whole, their donuts are still on par with most places' prices. They're not overcharging because they're popular. You gotta love it. I guess the only downside is there is no where nearby to sit and destroy them. You want me to drive home after getting my donuts. I want to sit and stare at the clouds while I make the donuts go Houdini. It's amazing being so close to them that I always go when my girlfriend is in town. At work, my team was gifted one of their Texas-Sized Donuts and that guy was incredible. I was cutting off bits all day. A volunteer at work always brings some Round Rock Donuts on the last Thursday of every month, and I always pig out. It's gotten to a point that he reminds me about him bringing them. I'm so helpless. Minus the donut that is big, their donuts aren't gimmicky, they aren't "gourmet" with unique toppings. They are just beautifully orange and perfectly airy like a dinner roll. Life is good when Round Rock Donuts exists. RIYL: Waiting in line for donuts

White Cream is a necessity. Unavailable. Ugh…read more I went way early in the morning. All the donuts were fresh and moist. The Glazed Yeast (The Prime Donut)......... if a donut maker can't do glazed, you might as well forget about the rest. Fantastic. Perfect. The glaze that flakes though moist and a donut that slightly squishes, pops slightly back and has that perfect texture....... And yes Flavor! Perfect Glazed. Well done. A good size and not a weak donut. I did a fancy chocolate cake donut of the Butterfinger kind. A fantastic blend of a good chocolate cake and the touch of peanut from the crisp. A good combo of about 50/50 share of flavor. Focusing on the cake donut resulted in a favorable chocolate cake donut. Freshness is key. Lastly was a buttermilk bar. Good, just good. I know where to get great. You'll have to read my other donut posts to find out where. Just good. Glaze could improve and the complete cool through would be helpful. The dough was alright, not bad. Good ingredients and a nice flavor. On a level of poor, fair, good to great........ Good.

They are slightly pricey, but as an occasional splurge, it's not unreasonable. Also, especially the bigger (and more expensive) ones are reasonable to share -- and you'd probably be better off doing so. This particular location has some cool decor like the donut trees and flag. Nice setup to see what's offered, though we stopped at a not busy time, it seems like it'd be challenging to decide quickly if there's a big line.

We were on Rainey street for SXSW and I had seen several people with the pink bag with a dog stamped on the front and wanted to see what all the hype was about. We came across the pink trailer with the dog logo and decided to give it a try. Service was quick and friendly, I was able to place my order and they accepted Apple Pay. Everything was made fresh to order, so there's a bit of a wait, but it's worth it when you get them hot. I tried the Italian cream cake donuts. They have specialty flavors that were $1 more and all of them were appealing to me. Unfortunately, you can not order a sampler pack of different flavors and have to just pick one flavor which is why I am giving 4 stars. My recommendation would be to offer a sampler pack as to not have to commit to one flavor. The pink dog stamped package came with multiple tiny donuts inside. They were freshly made, soft, and served warm. My friend ordered the regular donuts and I have to say that I didn't notice the Italian cream cake flavor as much as I would have liked compared to the original. There was a good balance of sweetness and a creamy, slightly rich profile without feeling overly heavy. The mini size is perfect because you can try a few without feeling like you've gone overboard and it is great for sharing. Overall, Little Lucy's is a solid dessert stop when you want something warm, fresh and satisfying. I would not recommend paying extra for the specialty flavors like Italian cream cake donuts and will just go with the original donuts in the future.
