What happened to Burger Bob's? Been eating here for years and feel the place just keeps getting worse. Went in for lunch about 6 months ago and waited for 45min for a burger and tots. Pretty ridiculous when most places will have you out the door in less time than that. Server blamed the kitchen and provided a voucher for a combo on next visit. Finally went back today for a late, 2:00 lunch. They were busy, but had tables available. OVER 50 MINUTES after ordering our food before we saw the first glimpse of our meal. Arrives to the table with room temp tots. 2 burgers and 2 orders of tater tots shouldn't take nearly an hour. If you're going to be that long, at least make sure everything is hot! Are the burgers good? Yes Is it worth the wait? Def not I'm done, burger place I've eaten at for years is officially marked off my list. Lot's of other good burger places in town. So long Burger Bob's, I'll be back in next time I have an afternoon to wait for a burger. read more

My husband and I are visiting from Ft Lauderdale heard about this burger place from the Grinders guys on in Bozeman. The burgers would as good if not better than expected. They are very reasonably price with fries bun where Bozeman made and did not fall apart like some burgers I had elsewhere during our travels. Again very friendly staff with no bias about us. The bathroom had a great sign on its door that had the usual men women and split men woman gender sign but also included an alien head on it for giggles ( Don't get in a tizzy folks about the word alien it's not those kind but the ones from outer space......just chill people) read more

Burger Bob's was our first restaurant we visited since Covid began. My daughter saw the restaurant when we drove passed and asked if we could try Burger Bob's, because we watched Bob's Burgers. She loved the name and especially when she saw Sorry, we're open on the front window. We arrived on a Friday afternoon around 1:00. When we walked in the place was packed which was a good sign so we were looking forward to our meal. We waited to be seated as all the tables were full. We approached the closest table which still had some glasses on it. A blonde waitress came and cleared the table, and we helped by picking up the condiments holder and pushing all of the dirty dishes so she could clear them away. She left. She came back to take our order and there was a lunch menu attached to the condiment tray and the four of us passed it around and we each decided what we would order. The same waitress came back about 5 minutes later and asked if we were ready to order, and she said you don't have menus??? She left and went to get us menus. Another couple entered and the same waitress brought them water, and took their order. The same blonde waitress came back to take our order and ask if we wanted anything to drink. Waited and we still had an empty table. A brunette came to take our order, and we told her that our order was taken already. Waited. Drinks finally arrived. Saw the couple that walked in after us received their lunch. Waited, and waited. Table around us all left. Waited. We were waiting for our appetizer of mac and cheese bites, fish, mushroom burger, veggie burger and grilled cheese. Waited. Finally our food arrived, but we didn't have any utensils. We had to flag down our waitress to ask for some utensils, and she brought one set that we shared. The couple who arrived after left and so did all the table around us. Food was poor to mediocre for the price we paid for the drinks and food. The service was definitely poor. My husband tipped our waitress 20%, and I didn't feel she earned it. We just moved to the area, but we won't be returning for poor service or overpriced overcooked food. read more

Honestly super disappointing, I came once before and the service was okay. Our server left without bringing us our food first and didn't tell anyone we were waiting. We got out food after 10 minutes of it just sitting there. The waitress who brought us our food apologized but never came back to check up on how we were doing. Our drinks were also never refilled. Hit up Burger Bob's because it was supposed to be the best burger joint in Bozeman. Considering that there really isn't a lot of burger places in Bozeman, let alone a lot of restaurants, that really isn't saying much but the burgers here are really good. They were so good that on my last day in Bozeman, I left the slopes early to make sure I hit up Burger Bob's before I boarded my plane. The service is good and the burgers are delicious. read more

I'm not a meat-eater, so I can't say for myself how good the burgers are here, but everyone else seems to love them and can't wait to go back. I had the dinner salad, which was a large bowl of fresh veggies that was quite good and cheap! I love the waffle fries here, as well as the regular fries or onion rings. The other highlight for me is the condiment bar, so you can pick whatever you want to put on your burger and leave off what you don't like. They also have cheese for the fries! Yum! Also try the shakes made from Wilcoxson's ice cream. The decor is that of a busy diner, with low-lighting and many tables squeezed together. Bob's a "semi-classy eating establishment" serves up pretty disappointing burgers and fries. I ordered the cowboy burger with thick cut bacon and BBQ sauce and waffles fries. The burger tasted like a premade patty, not freshly prepared, and had a very smokey flavor which I didn't care for. The waffle fries were over-seasoned and not very good. They were like Arby's curley fries except not as good. My chocolate milkshake was good but when have you ever had a bad milkshake? I love the bob's Atmosphere! When I want a big fatty Burger this is the place that comes to mind as far as local scene. I love their "sorry we are open" sign. It's just a doorway away to the cannery lounge in case you want a drink. So far I have enjoyed every burger, fish n' chips, and Chicken that I have tried. Especially the spicy ones. read more

Really wanted to like this place. Unfortunately, there was little redeeming about this place. Food was served cold - nothing worse than a lukewarm burger, stale bread and cold, soggy tater tots. Service was atrocious but that was due to lack of staff vs anything to do with our server. So unless the place is empty or they have more staff would HIGHLY recommend you avoid this place. read more

I've been told that Burger Bob's has the best burger in Montana. Which is why my fiancé (a burger connoisseur) wanted to go there. What did we find? There are better burgers in Montana. I'm not a burger person, so I ordered the tuna sandwich. I was disappointed. My fiancé, disappointed. He said the burger was very small. And here's the real deal-breaker- burgers and sandwiches don't come with a side, what?! But the price of the burger is the price you'd pay for a burger with a side. This was the first place I buzzed through while in Bozeman. It's just an average, small-town burger joint. I really liked all the wall decor- all Montana college themed, with "local sports heroes" pictures on the wall (cute). I ordered the burger with jalepenos and pepper jack (it wasn't really pepper jack- more like government cheese). Meh, it was alright, but nothing to write home about. The prices are a bit high but the portions are big. I had the mushroom burger. Fresh veggies and a fat burger. Couldn't even get my mouth around it. The fries where delicious and actually big. Not the lame shoestring type that seems to be getting popular. My girlfriend got the fish and chips. Again delicious and a huge portion. She got the sweet potato fries and they where amazing. Our server was good (but we did get there when it wasn't very busy - we may have lucked out). The decor is unpretentious and is a real "old-time" sports bar, with memorabilia that goes back in time and features MSU sports, which added to the fun. It was nice to eat in a "regular" place.
