    BLT with fruit
    Jessica L.

This was an okay spot- the service was great, even though their sign says they are short staffed. We got sat within about 20 minutes on a Sunday late morning. I ordered the BLT, but was missing mayo! It was a bummer, but I do like how you can order fruit, tots, or a few other options for the side. I probably would try a different restaurant when I'm in the area again, but it was a cute outdoor area where we waited to be sat. The service was really and truly top notch, and all the servers were so lovely.

Three stars means okay so that's what BumbleBee's gets from me! The food was just barely okay, the service was just barely okay and the wait time all around was not okay. We waited about 10 minutes then one of the servers put a sign out saying to sign into a spiral notebook and wait outside where we waited another 10 minutes. Yes, there is a very large sign in the window that says they are short staffed but apparently it's been there for a couple few years now so not sure how relevant it is. Seems more staff could have been added by now! Our order was taken shortly after we were seated so that was good! The 45 minute wait for our food definitely wasn't good!! For what we ordered and what was delivered, there's no way it should have taken that long, even if there was only one cook! I got a tuna melt sandwich and hubby got the corned beef hash and eggs. The tuna melt is small, just on regular white bread like at home, and sadly there was no tomato. The tater tots were hot, that's always a plus! The eggs were cooked as ordered but the corned beef is straight out of the can, barely warmed up. The bacon was way over cooked and the French toast was very soggy. We ate all our food, it was edible although very lacking in so many areas. We were just traveling through town so not sure what else is available in the area but unfortunately, I can't recommend Bumblebee's.

    Interior, so cozy!

Such a great mom-n-pop feeling diner! The food was all incredible & the staff was so friendly. The tuna melt was delicious as was the fried okra side. Cute interior!

This resturaunt literally turned us down for having a party of 7. We have nothing else to say except that is absolutely ridiculous the hostess says they only have one cook and they won't take us because we have a party of seven. I wish I could say something about their food. I will never go back to this resturaunt. How absolutely insane.

Little small hidden gem in Blue Ridge. Food has always been quick and hot. And the ladies who work there are friendly.

The couple clearly knew the hostess and several waitresses. Ten minutes later, the couple had their drinks, their 2 orders of fried chicken and a basket of bread on their table. We were still waiting on our food. Half an hour later, we still did not have our food. The couple next to us finished their meal, and even got a to-go drink. We asked our waitress what was happening, and she said they had a lot of take out orders. Ten minutes later, it was pretty evident that we weren't going to be served our food. We left $5 on the table and the waitress apologized with no explanation. The hostess wouldn't even make eye contact. We wasted almost an hour sitting there waiting for something that was not going to happen. I don't think I've ever been treated like that in any restaurant. I highly would NOT recommend Pete's Place, unless you know the staff and then you will be treated better. Been coming to Blue Ridge for years and will give other local restaurants my business.

My server was pleasant and covered a lot of tables. She tackled it like a pro without making me feel neglected. I ordered a side of bacon with cheese grits and a half order of French toast. The bacon was thick and salty. The grits were delicious because they used shredded cheese versus a slice of American cheese product. They were firm and not soupy. The French toast was essentially a slice of bread cut in half so I was a little disappointed in that. In addition, it was undercooked but tasty with a sprinkle of powdered sugar on top. I asked if the corned beef hash was homemade or canned. I loved her honesty as it helped me make the decision to forgo it. It's a quaint family owned restaurant that is a good place to stop for breakfast. Expect simple and you'll enjoy it.

The atmosphere was upscale without feeling stiff special enough for a celebration, yet warm and comfortable for the entire family. Our waitress, Kayla, was absolutely wonderful. She was friendly, attentive, and helped make the evening feel genuinely special. It felt like she was using some of that Georgia southern charm! Every course impressed us. From the starter to the entrées, everything was prepared beautifully and full of flavor. We even ordered dessert, which we almost never do, and it was worth every bite. The best way I can describe the food is big-city quality meets Georgia country comfort and hospitality. Our kids loved it, my wife loved it, and I loved it. We consider ourselves serious food people, and The Black Sheep easily earned five stars from our entire family. All of this was finished off with some fresh Parmesan cheese over the top. It pays to listen what is recommended. It was fantastic. My child wouldn't touch their food so I tried a bite - immediately had to rinse my mouth out. Something is off with the oil or ingredients they're using. They did take it off the bill but we sat there forever waiting for someone to even come check on us. My sticky ribs were sauce wise but really fatty and cheap quality. The biggest issue arose when I went to pay my $19.04 bill, the "20% tip" on the machine came out to $5.61. I pointed it out to the server right there and he acted confused and played dumb, which was frustrating. The custom tip button wasn't even working so I couldn't fix it myself, and with my kid losing it I just had to pay and go. It wasn't until I did the math in the car that I realized just how off it really was -- that's almost 29.5%, not 20%. This left me with a really yucky feeling. Just double check the math on that tip screen before you pay. I have a feeling this has caught a lot of people without them realizing it. Needless to say, I won't be returning here.
