BLT with fruit
Jessica L.

This was an okay spot- the service was great, even though their sign says they are short staffed. We got sat within about 20 minutes on a Sunday late morning. I ordered the BLT, but was missing mayo! It was a bummer, but I do like how you can order fruit, tots, or a few other options for the side. I probably would try a different restaurant when I'm in the area again, but it was a cute outdoor area where we waited to be sat. The service was really and truly top notch, and all the servers were so lovely.

Corned Beef Hash (from can) with a side of very over cooked bacon.

Three stars means okay so that's what BumbleBee's gets from me! The food was just barely okay, the service was just barely okay and the wait time all around was not okay. We waited about 10 minutes then one of the servers put a sign out saying to sign into a spiral notebook and wait outside where we waited another 10 minutes. Yes, there is a very large sign in the window that says they are short staffed but apparently it's been there for a couple few years now so not sure how relevant it is. Seems more staff could have been added by now! Our order was taken shortly after we were seated so that was good! The 45 minute wait for our food definitely wasn't good!! For what we ordered and what was delivered, there's no way it should have taken that long, even if there was only one cook! I got a tuna melt sandwich and hubby got the corned beef hash and eggs. The tuna melt is small, just on regular white bread like at home, and sadly there was no tomato. The tater tots were hot, that's always a plus! The eggs were cooked as ordered but the corned beef is straight out of the can, barely warmed up. The bacon was way over cooked and the French toast was very soggy. We ate all our food, it was edible although very lacking in so many areas. We were just traveling through town so not sure what else is available in the area but unfortunately, I can't recommend Bumblebee's.

Interior, so cozy!

Such a great mom-n-pop feeling diner! The food was all incredible & the staff was so friendly. The tuna melt was delicious as was the fried okra side. Cute interior!

This resturaunt literally turned us down for having a party of 7. We have nothing else to say except that is absolutely ridiculous the hostess says they only have one cook and they won't take us because we have a party of seven. I wish I could say something about their food. I will never go back to this resturaunt. How absolutely insane.

Vegetarian omelette with home fries.

Little small hidden gem in Blue Ridge. Food has always been quick and hot. And the ladies who work there are friendly.

Waited 20 mins to even be acknowledged to be seated. Food was mediocre. I wouldn't recommend.

Breakfast was yummy. Servers were amazing! The ripped vinyl chairs needed to be replaced or tossed out years ago. Just icky!

Mercier Orchards - Menu cider tasting

Visiting Blue Ridge and stoped by Mercier Orchards on a perfect cold day. Let me just say this is a…read morepopular tourist attraction so it had its fair share of people so come with some patience. Outside it has some beautiful views worth stopping for a photo and stopping at the bakery inside for some fried pies and cider donuts are a must! The fried pies were okay but the Cider Donuts are a show stopper. They also have tons of other things like fruits and veggies, toys, books, figurines, wine and more!

First things first -- get ready for a drive. This place is…read morenot just "down the street." It's a journey. But let me be very clear: it is 100% worth it. From the moment you arrive, you can tell Mercier Orchards is something special. There is so much packed into this one location that it almost feels like a small village built around apples and everything that comes with them. Inside the main store, the selection is honestly overwhelming in the best way possible -- home goods, gifts, jams, jellies, preserves, baking mixes, sauces, butters, ciders... anything and everything apple-related, plus plenty of other fruit-based goodies. It's the kind of place where you say "I'm just going to browse" and then walk out with bags of stuff you didn't know you needed. Then there's the bakery. Seven lines. All long. And all moving surprisingly well. I eventually stepped out of line after about 15 minutes, but not before getting a solid look at the pastries, pies, breads, and desserts -- everything looked incredible. Even without buying anything that round, the bakery alone is worth the stop. Now let's talk about the apple picking experience -- because this is where the magic really happens. Riding out on a trailer attached to a tractor felt like something straight out of a fall movie. The views, the air, the vibe -- it's peaceful, exciting, and nostalgic all at the same time. The apples change with the season, and the ones we picked were delicious and lasted a long time. No pesticides, just straight calcium. Fresh, crisp, and perfect. And yes... get a bag or three like I did. You're going to want them. The entire place also makes for amazing photo opportunities. Whether it's the orchard, the tractor ride, the store, or the scenery -- this is one of those spots where your camera roll is guaranteed to fill up. The only negative moment of the day happened when I went to grab some cider and one of the guys behind the counter completely ignored me. I actually had to call him out -- like, "Did you not see me standing here?" Not great. But that one interaction couldn't even come close to outweighing everything else this place offers. Bottom line: If you're anywhere in the area -- or even thinking about making a day trip -- you absolutely have to go. It's a little off the beaten path, so I don't expect most people to just "stumble" upon it... but if you plan it, you won't regret it. This is an experience, not just a stop.

We tried a few items from their beverage menu, including the specialty Churro Iced Latte, Mango Smoothie, and a Horchata Milk Tea. Each drink was well done and I liked the variety. I can be indecisive, but the descriptions made it easy to choose. The atmosphere of the cafe was cozy, despite the large space. It had a relaxing vibe, smelled great also. The baristas were friendly and efficient, managing to serve a solid line of customers within a short waiting period. I particularly appreciated the thoughtful attention to detail regarding the espresso-to-milk ratio. As someone who is caffeine-sensitive, it was great that the barista mentioned the amount of espresso in my drink, so that I could adjust it. My husband appreciates that you don't just get a cup of "milk" when you're ordering a larger latte. It's a win-win. The Mango Smoothie was also surprising, my daughter loved it and she is picky! I had a little bit and liked it as well. I also decided to try the Horchata Milk Tea, just in case I didn't make it back, and I'm glad I did.

I didn't have dinner last night so I decided to get a breakfast sandwich opted for the sausage, egg and cheese sandwich on a bagel... All four of the things were low quality the bagels, tiny the sausage and egg are for sure. The smallest I've ever seen in my life. There is a half of slice of American cheese on it definitely don't I also wanted, but apparently they don't have that so I got an Americano, which is fine but it just seems like the type of place that up charges you everything and you'll be spending lots of money for low quality dot I guess the service was OK. I don't know if she was shy or not but didn't even say hellojust stood there and I ordered. Still looking for a good breakfast place in Dalton, Georgia. I'm editing this after taking bites out of my sandwich... This is literally the worst sandwich I've ever had in my life. I can't even eat it. If I could give this place lower than one star I would.

The coffee... even without real cream, it was delicious. The corned beef hash was unique in that it was cooked with small chunks of onion a top a bed of breakfast potatoes. It was really tasty and not too salty. My eggs were extra large and cooked to my liking. My husband liked the cheesesteak with amazing wedge cut potatoes. He would get it again. My teenager got the pork chop and eggs. She doesn't like pork and therefore doesn't eat it so I'm not even going to try to write anything about it other than it looked thin but good. The service was great- she brought refills when needed and checked on us frequently. We'll come back to because I really want to try the Vietnamese coffee and there are definitely other intriguing menu items. Our only complaint is the parking situation has gotten worse in downtown Ellijay so if the weather is at questionable, we may not make the long trip from Pickens County.
