The family was starving and as with most places in a small town during a holiday weekend, Sue's had a line out the door with 45min - 1hr wait times. I appreciated that they said that up front. As anyone with hangry kids knows, sitting and waiting awhile for food can be so much fun. We had snacks and in-laws willing to wait to save any meltdowns. I am glad we waited and the kids were too. They got some chicken nuggets and a grilled cheese, which was gooey and perfectly hot for the cold day. My wife got the regular burger and fries while I got the Bacon Pimento (house made) Cheeseburger with tots and some jalapeños. It was delicious. I wish I could have asked for it more rare but it was cooked "well" but nothing close to dry. The bacon was also crispy, which made me happy, because no one wants limp bacon on their burger or bizkit...The pimento cheese was the real winner and I could get extra on the side or to take home. If you live here chances are you already know the spot and if you are visiting go check them out. If you tell them I sent you...you will be met with many blank stares. read more

We went after a Sunday Service, it did take a bit to get our food-but we were made aware of that when ordering due to the Sunday lunch rush. It was very worth the wait! Places where you order at a counter, that don't serve your food, that don't bring you refills, places where you dump your dirty dishes after you eat, should not be asking for tips. Credit card companies typically charge around 2.75% per transaction, so to add a profit to this is not good. Sue's has amazing burgers, so if this review was simply about the food, I would give 5 stars. However, the speed and the price has dropped my rating. They do warn that they aren't a fast food restaurant when you enter, so I expected to wait. However, the wait time is extremely long, and they only have the capacity to fill 2-3 orders at a time - if you are going to eat, prepare to be there awhile. My biggest issue was the price of the meal. 4 of us had burgers, fries and drinks for $72. I know that inflation is impacting people nationwide, but this seemed excessive for burgers and fries.
