We were apple picking in north Georgia, and my husband read some reviews recommending this place, so we drove up here just for it. You order at the counter and they bring the food to your table. My husband ordered the catfish nuggets to share, and they came with fries, slaw, and tartar sauce. When the food arrived, we realized it wouldn't be enough for both of us, so I went back and ordered a classic burger with potato salad. The catfish nuggets were absolutely delicious! Hot, fresh, tender and not fishy at all. The fries and slaw were good too. My burger was great, and the potato bread they use makes a big difference! The potato salad was okay. It was a Saturday late afternoon and street parking was easy to find. We've been telling all our friends to go check this place out. The Georgia Tennessee border literally runs right through the middle of the Copper Grill but their address is in Copperhill so I guess Tennessee gets the review. lol When the Blue Ridge Scenic Railway (my next review) pulls into McCaysville for a 90 minute stop before heading back to Blue Ridge everyone just about runs from the train to the few restaurants McCaysville has for a quick lunch and some souvenir shopping. As you might imagine when 500 people get off the train in the small town of McCaysville the town gets very crowded very quickly. Now fortunately I still have a few quick steps left in me so when I seen everyone walking down the packed sidewalk towards the Copper Grill I moved out to the empty street and set a fast pace passing everyone. lol. I was about 4th in line when I got there. Not bad for an old man, considering I was in the last train car and the last one off the train. Haha. A very reasonable priced menu with a nice variety of tasty choices. I went with the Grilled Cajun Shrimp Po Boy. Lots of nice size shrimp that were seasoned perfectly and French Fries all for 9.99!! That and a warm delicious bowl of Tomato Basil on a chilly foggy day made a perfect lunch. read more

Fries a tiny bit on the salty side. Cod nuggets were great. Tomato basil soup as well. The pecan salad was a bit confused. It had green bell peppers even. I would skip that. Very good little spot. Gave me my money back and asked me to "come back " It's a scam. I've spoken with the business that asked and recommended them for the food. The lack of customer service and making thing right. It was a gloomy rainy day on the last day of our road trip. Stopped by The Copper Grill in Tennessee before heading back to our rented cabin in Georgia. Wanted some comfort food. Ordered the catfish with cole slaw, fries and a bowl of chili. The catfish here is their signature item and it did not disappoint. The fish was quite large. It was perfectly fried and moist and flaky. The coleslaw was absolutely mind blowing. Very creamy and flavorful with the right amount of crunch. I'm very particular when it comes to coleslaw and most places usually mess it up or don't know how to prepare it to my liking. The coleslaw complimented the catfish well. An unexpected four star experience! My husband LOVED his Bourbon burger. Awesome flavors, cooked to perfection and served with really good fries. Our son was interested in the popcorn shrimp so the woman taking our order at the counter said no problem she could make it a kids meal for him. How nice! And I enjoyed my Copper Chicken minus the cheese. They let me sub in a side salad instead of fries or coleslaw and it was all really good! Again, we ordered at a counter and then they bring out your food. This eliminates the need for a tip, although they all certainly deserved one as the service was friendly and fast especially since it was so busy! A decent burger of generous portions. I had the double cheeseburger with bacon with fries and soft drink. The flavors were adequate, but not outstanding and the bun was very dense and bready, similar in texture to a Kaiser roll. The fries had been under a heat lamp too long and were limp and soggy. While visiting mccaysville (for the first time), we were looking for a place for lunch. As we were walking along discussing lunch options, a local person chatted with us and suggested a few good lunch spots - we chose the copper grill! It was about 99 degrees outside, so the first awesome thing about The Copper Grill was the wonderful air conditioning! :). We ordered (from the hanging menu) and paid at the front desk, and were quickly seated in a booth. We waited only a short time (enjoying our sweet tea), until our appetizer arrived! Omg, do you love cheese sticks??? If so, come try these babies!! They are thick battered home made cheese sticks and wow they were big and yummy!! Definitely our favorite part of lunch. We have heard that these cheese sticks are very popular - i can see why! I had a chicken philly with fries and my friend had a burger with fries. Both were large and very tasty. If we get to McCaysville again, i would definitely give this place a try. (There are all sorts of little shops and restaurants in downtown MaCaysville, it was fun to walk around and see the sights). Dude, OMG! This place is surprisingly AMAZING! We previously at the okay pizza place, then the meh (but nice) yellow bird coffee place, so our expectations were already lowered. They have some awards on their wall by the register for their burgers, so we got burgers, Philly cheese, buffalo chicken sandwich, and jalapeño poppers. They were EXTREMELY DELICIOUS! You can't beat the philly cheesecake sandwich. Also try the tomato soup as it is the best ever. I grew up in New Hampshire in the early 1960s and summer greasy food included onion rings which were the best anywhere. I haven't found any as good until I tried The Onion ring petals. We ordered the smokehouse burger and the chicken and shrimp. We also ordered a side of mozzarella sticks. The food was wonderful. The tenders were juicy and not overdone like most places. Burger was good, a little heavy on bbq sauce but not a big deal. Best mozzarella sticks I have ever had. Fries were crispy with a house seasoning, but got a little salty towards the end.
