Maybe I came on a bad day or something. But honestly was not good. Biscuit was best part but the gravy was super unflavored for sausage gravy. Even adding the salt and pepper packets they gave didn't help much. Asked for the chicken patty but got what, I think, was the steak (looked like sausage patty but was not sausage at all). It had no flavor either which was a bummer for the add on. The eggs were ok, just scrambled with some butter added in. Service was best part, girl at the counter was really nice, made sure I had salt and pepper and utensils in the bag before I even asked about. It's a drive up place and is quaint, I generally like these kind of places as they were common when I lived in Arkansas and went to Oklahoma a lot. I love this place. We somehow manage to work two visits into each trip. I always get an egg and cheese biscuit and a coffee. My husband gets one of the biscuit combos. The biscuit is made fresh. The toppings are pretty standard for fast food, but that isn't an issue for us. We've learned to share the tots as one bag is more than either of us wants alone. This is an inexpensive breakfast spot that we crave each trip to Blue Ridge. The shop is cute with mirrored diner siding. The walk up window and drive thru are always busy, but we've always gotten our food quickly. Best biscuits I've ever eaten. Seriously. This place puts chick-fil-a to shame. Over the couple of times we ate here, we had the chicken biscuit (which was out of control), the bacon egg and cheese biscuit (blows McDonald's out of the water) and the sausage egg and cheese. All were great, mostly bc the biscuits were huge, fluffy, and didn't crumble apart at the first touch. We also had the hot ham and cheese, and the chili cheese burger. Almost everything was really delicious (tots were just ok). And while I'm not a big tea person, while I was waiting for my food, I watched as at least five people stopped at this place JUST to get the tea. So I would assume it's pretty good if you like that stuff. Overall, a great experience with really friendly staff. I will 100% come back here next time I'm near Blue Ridge. read more

The food was delicious and the owner was extremely nice. I had a large order which he patiently wrote down. The food was out in less than 10 minutes and I realized I was missing a sausage biscuit and needed more tots. I stood in line again to order them since I am sure I just miscounted. When I got to the front of the line he asked If I was missing food and I said no, I was just short a sandwich and tots. He insisted it must have been his mistake and refused to charge me for the items. I insisted it was my mistake but he would not take the money. I thought that was an amazing gesture on his part. One of the highlights of our trip for sure. We came on a Monday morning right before 9am and I'm glad we came when we did because it got packed by the time we left! We discovered this gem of a restaurant while visiting BR. Burgers, fries and tater tots were amazing. So good we went back for breakfast the next morning on our way to hike. It's simple but so good and easy while on your way to and from activities in BR area. We had a chance to meet the owner. What a great guy. Owned the place for over twenty years. He shared a lot of information and some fun stories and pictures from the area. Our whole family truly enjoyed the time chatting with him and our meals were delicious. We wanted to grab some food to go take on a hike. We pull in to an absolute circus!! Cars were coming from every direction to get in! As crazy as it was, it all flowed rather well and was very quick. I was honestly a bit surprised. I asked the girl if she'd get sausage or chicken. She said both because they're not "too big." Sister... where have you been getting bigger These things were massive! They're a sheet pan style biscuit that's moist but not crumbly. The sausage was just ok. It was very thin. The chicken was great buuuut I would've liked honey or a Sriracha mayo on it. While great, it needed something more. As someone else pointed out, their pickup system is a bit flawed. The person at the window screams the whole order out but didn't get the order right. Yup. I'm coming back here. Damn good biscuits. I'm an old West Virginia gal, living in north/central Georgia, now. Good biscuits aren't that hard to fix. However, 95% of restaurants that tout themselves as the end all be all of biscuits, don't even come close to this self applied back-patting. This place does. Perfect chicken, egg and cheese biscuit. We tried this place out on a lazy off day. Stopped here because we had our dog with us. I ordered our food indicating that my partner would like his burger cooked as rare "as possible ". A lot of places we go will go Medium well but others are okay with cooking them more rare. This is why I indicated to make it as rare as possible, that way he would have his burger as close to the way he wants it that is within the ability of the cook to make it. I guess they misunderstood what we said because some rude girl came to the window and started yelling loudly, seemingly at no one in particular, "we can't do that! We can't do that! Whoever wants their burger rare, we can't do that!" At this time I went up to the counter from where we were waiting for our food and indicated that he wanted his burger as rare as they could make it to which she replied "we can't do that! It'll be well done!" Loudly. It was a bit embarrassing to say the least. No one wants to be called out on things in front of a crowd. The person could have nicely explained maybe that it isn't their policy to cook burgers less than well done rather than just yelling at us. In the end, the food was just okay. Of course, his burger was over cooked and it would seem that they went out of their way to cook it extra well done. I would've had a lot better things to say if that one person had not been so rude to us. The girl at the counter was very nice though and I felt bad for her for being put in a situation where someone she was working with was yelling at her customers. read more
