He removed a wasp nest on my two story home, sprinkled dust in the outlets, sprayed the attic and entire home. He also sprayed the front yard, backyard, front porch, and under deck. My domestic partner has a rental property in addition to our house, which were both treated by Bulwark for several years. He scheduled service at his rental, and after several miscommunications, they set a specific window for service on the phone. He stayed there for the entire three hours. After that, he called Bulwark and told them "do not come to my property - you're fired." About an hour later, the technician called and said I'm here - let me in. He then terminated both accounts with Bulwark. I was pretty happy with them, except for the several times when I explained a problem on the phone, then the technician had no idea what that was. Lavelle was the exception - he always gave 30 minutes notice, was on time, and did a great job. Months later, Bulwark called me on a Saturday night about getting our business back. I said call me when it's not the middle of a weekend. A man named Shane called later during business hours. He was all apologetic, interested in our story, and thanking me for letting him know. After I explained about the no-show, he said "I have never had a call like this." As a reminder, he called me. Wow. What a SHADY company. I used this company a few months ago and was initially happy with their service - they didn't pressure me for a contract and did a one time service, no issues. Just now I got a phone call from a customer service rep saying "there's a problem with my account and a supervisor needs to talk to me." Which seemed strange because I just had the one service, I barely have an "account" and there were no issues. After waiting on hold I was told a supervisor was not available so I should get a call back tomorrow. I asked if the purpose was a sales pitch and was told that he couldn't see the issue online. So I called Bulwark myself and spoke to Cole. He said that it was in fact a phone call to solicit more services. WHY LIE??? And say there's an "issue with my account?" Absolutely dishonest and shady and I will never use them or recommend them again. There are more honest businesses out there who won't use smoke and mirrors to try and take your money!!! read more

Bulwark Exterminating came to my home last month, did their poorly rehearsed pitch & then made an appointment to spray the new home I'm living in, mainly because I was starting to see more bug activity. Was told I'd need a follow up & that I should be finding more dead bugs around. WRONG. Found more & more bugs & called to have another spraying. I scheduled an appointment last week to have my house sprayed & no one ever showed up. I took time off work so I could be here when they came by...I called three times to find out what was happening & I was told "they should be out there soon" (tech who was supposed to spray). 6 pm rolls around & the third time I called I was told they couldn't reach the driver who would be spraying the inside & outside of my home.. They kept saying how unacceptable it was & I agreed. I was irate & said I'd rather cancel the service. Was transferred to a supervisor who talked me into giving it one more go, no charge at all & stupidly I agreed. I rescheduled AGAIN for this morning (5/21/19, another day of work missed) & again no one showed up so I called & was told someone had come by & sprayed outside... I live in a really quiet street so if a truck or a car rolled through you'd be able to hear it & I would have seen their vehicle because i was looking out for most of the morning so I wouldnt miss them. I had specifically asked to have someone spray INSIDE & outside. Plus, in order to do the outside they would have had to have come inside to get into the backyard since the gate to the backyard is locked. Spoke to a woman named Brooke who gave me a lot of attitude & when I asked if I should just use raid since this formula obviously didnt work she instructed me to do so because she also had a bug problem & to pretty much go screw myself. I just canceled the service. Completely unprofessional, poor service & now I have more bugs to deal with because their formula or whatever just didnt work. DON'T USE THESE GUYS THEY ARE SCAM ARTISTS! They place blame on YOU, the customer & then apologize (sort of) & then say they'll give you a discount. read more

Living in Texas one thing that is essential is a good bug service. We live on 5 acres and have tried a couple different services that were never able to fit our needs. However, as everyone in the world knows we've had unprecedented HORRIBLE weather and I had been without power and water until 2/19. We have been with Bulwark since 2001. We will stay with this company that has rightly earned our business. They have been honorable in the pricing since we are long-time​ customers and we have never had any issues with their customer services reps. When we have had to call - they are always friendly and professional. When it is time to spray​ the yard for fleas or have an outside service... they are responsive to the weather and plan accordingly​. As for inside... as long as we stay on schedule we do not have any bug issues​. We absolutely love our technician Michael! I would trust him to enter my home if I were not home. Work was ok. By ok, I mean they showed up and sprayed some generic pest spray around the perimeter of the house and haphazardly threw sticky traps only around the entrance of the attic. Nothing was caught and there was no follow up like they said. The only reason I gave them 2 stars was because when they called me to tell me my follow up period had expired, I told them they never followed up and they sent another person. Unfortunately, she said she wasn't "coordinated" enough to go into the attic so she left a couple trap boxes around the fence and left. Zero mice caught. Updating this to 5 stars because their customer service is absolutely amazing. It's hard enough dealing with pests invading your home, but when you have a baby it's even more urgent. I called prior to my 12-3 appointment window hoping to get a technician in on the earlier side to allow enough time for any chemicals to leave the home before picking up baby. I was so anxious, and the customer service representative said she could reach out to my technician on the off chance he could time our service on the earlier side. 5 minutes later I received a call: Raul was right in my area, and was I available right then at 9am? You betcha I was!! He came by, was super cordial and understanding (baby #2 on the way for him!) and let me know what the protocol was for the next few days following service. We've lived all over the Central Texas area, and while the neighborhoods we have called home may have changed, the one thing that has not changed has been the top-level service we get from Bulwark. We've tried a few other companies, but we always come back to Bulwark because of the level of service, the professionalism of our service technician, and the quality of the people and pet-safe solutions they use to treat our home for some of the crazier creepy crawlies that find their way around. His knowledge of the types of pests he sees around our area and what to be on the lookout for has allowed us to stay on top of the treatments we get. Rick's knowledge of the types of bugs that are common in our area is amazing. The best and going strong for 5 years!! I lived in my 83 yr old home for 14 years with no pest issues until the house next door was gutted for renovation. I called a high profile pest control company that serviced my home for a year with zero results. So I searched until I found Bulwark. Within a couple of weeks of the first treatment, no bugs! Benefits of Bulwark: capability to establish schedule; ease with which to get re-spray if you see bugs in interim; thet do more than spray, I've watched service folks sweep spider nests off of my porch (XYZ never did that); capability to have the same person come to your home-- this is important for me esp during the pandemic. I am immunocompromised AND one side of my home has limited access, so it's a door-dance to spray, and we build a rhythm. I had Lavelle for most of the the first years, and he is amazing! I'm in a transition right now, so I don't know who my next perm person will be, but I trust that person will be great. I've kept Bulwark as a preventative measure, since many homes in my neighborhood are renovating. This business is run like a family business. I've had ONE small issue in 5 years. He was so knowledgeable, and kind, and friendly, and told us everything he planned on doing. And then he got to work. Big guy, big softy ( in a good Dad kinda way).
