We have a regular service contract with Bulwark that includes complimentary cockroach treatments between the regularly scheduled visits if we need them. Unfortunately, due to the summer heat, we needed them! I called and the visit was scheduled within 2 work days. Travis, our tech, called ahead as requested and showed up well within the service window. He was friendly, professional and efficient. I would say that Lawrence Serena - our technician today- was exceptional as he truly went way out of his way to provide the best service possible. This review will serve as a two-fold purpose. One, my tech today was super duper great!! Her name is Nikki. I was shocked to see a girl exterminator :) but she came right in and got to work. We had small talk while she was spraying and she even stopped to pat my dog. It's all about great customer service and Nikki did just that today! Secondly, I love the fact that I just called on yesterday to request a tech come out and spray, as I saw scorpions this past weekend. I'm on the every two month service schedule, but house inside hadn't been sprayed in a few months. I was worried that with the holidays, I wouldn't get anyone to come for a few days, but again great customer service and a tech was sent out within 24 hours of my call! read more

What I find "ODD"to say the very least. He did not ask her age for service reasons. He continued to ask her if she likes to go to out if her parents let her go out. Etc. Had nothing to do with what he had been sent there to do. As for the other techs 2 were rude and only 1 was above and beyond. After 4 techs going out and no resolve I decided to end the service. *NOW A YEAR LATER I have been approached by a servive rep "Tyler" and was finally offered an apology. Also offered service to gain "trust" with the company again. Guess what happens? 1st scheduled service the tech did not do any initial service agreed upon. Spoke with "Tyler" he responde quickly. .... BY SCHEDULING THE SAME PERVERT THAT APPROACHED MY DAUGHTER INAPPROPRIATELY IN THE FIRST PLACE. I am beyond livid. I feel harrased. Now I am in a new home and this "trusted employee" that knows I have complaint against him knows where Myself and my daughter live. My first pest experience wasn't the best, so Eddie was walking into a situation where he was dealing with a skeptical consumer and had a bit of a hurdle to overcome. We have been using Bulwark for a bit now and if there has ever been a bug crawling around inside the house after they sprayed, they'll come back out immediately. Their customer service is great and we've never had a complaint about them. Lavell H just stopped by, he was really nice to be around and have a small chat with. This company needs 6 stars instead of the available 5. Marcus came out on Saturday to do the Angie's list deal 'Preventative Treatment'. Marcus showed up right on time and was ready to get to work. Little did he know how big of an issue I had (actually, neither did I). Marcus removed a wasp nest about 20x larger than we originally suspected. Marcus dedication to the job, his professionalism and in this case his incredible courage is leagues above the rest. My wife and I would sincerely like to thank Marcus for his work and for Bulwark for sending him our way. We will be using Bulwark for all future entomology issues we may have. We are currently clients of Bulwark. We contract to have our home treated on scheduled intervals. Bulwark has a guarantee where if pests reappear in between treatments, they will come back and reapply the pesticide for no additional charge. After our experience on Friday, August 4, 2017, we will be cancelling our service. Approximately two months ago, we had asked for a reapplication of the pesticide, as the rain had caused water roaches to appear. Despite being scheduled, the exterminator failed to show up. I called and complained and canceled. Bulwark called to apologize, and we decided to give them a second chance. This was approximately two months ago. Last week, we noticed bugs and asked for the free reapplication. Bulwark asked us to send a picture of the bugs, so we emailed a picture of the bugs to Bulwark. They scheduled us for 6-9pm, and I informed them that I get off work late, and that o would appreciate if the exterminator called me 30 minutes prior to his/her arrival. I made double clear that I would be leaving work early to meet the exterminator, and the operator stated that he made a note to remind the exterminator to call 30 minutes prior to arrival. Again, the gentleman on the phone reassured me that they would called 30 minutes prior to arrival. So now it's Friday, 9:20 PM, and there is no phone call and no exterminator. No one is available to provide an explanation. This was the free application. I notice that when it comes to the paid applications, they're very eager, prompt, and always on time. Very unprofessional. We do not recommend Bulwark. ----------UPDATE--------- Update to the Bulwark missed appointment. So this morning I called Bulwark and spoke to the supervisor named Samantha. I asked her why they stood me up. Samantha tells me that someone did show up, at 610, but that no one was home. I informed Samantha that I was home from work early and was home. She says that her notes say that there were cars in the driveway, as if to offer proof that someone showed up. I argued that doesn't that verify that I was home, if cars were in the driveway? But I also ask why the exterminator didn't call me 30 minutes prior to arrival, if in fact he did show up. So then she says that he did call, which is an outright lie. I had my phone on me all day, and there was no missed call. Not one. So I ask for a resolution. She says best she can do is send someone out on Monday 9-12. Inform her that is unacceptable because I have to work, and the treatment has to happen inside the house. She states that she's not going to have her exterminator work extra hours on Saturday and the best she can do is Monday 9-13. I ask her to reconsider and send someone out today, considering that Bulwark missed the appointment yesterday. She refuses. So I tell her to cancel my contract. She then hangs up on me. Sean Patton came back to my house to do a re-treat for scorpions. He called 45 minutes in advance to let me know would be there, and was spot on time. He walked me through why and how the scorpions were there, and how his treatment would help. Very helpful, and part of the reason I like Bulwark. We live in a fairly old house so bugs can be a problem for us. Bulwark has some really great respectful workers and we have been happy with there services. Our most recent technician TIM was a super friendly and respectful guy, I had a lot of questions regarding the safety of the stuff he was spraying because we have a toddler and two dogs and he was really patient and polite and reassuring. Thanks Tim and thanks bulwark for keeping us bug free! My one complaint is the call center service that is located outside of Austin is not very reliable at communicating with the technicians. But if I deal with only the Austin branch directly the service is excellent! read more

Not the worst company, given that calling them back for repeat services does get taken care of eventually. However. There seems to be a big lack of follow through when it comes to services. In order to treat the outside of our home correctly we have had to have them come out three times. The third time was for repeated fire ant infestations which attacked our dog. I specifically told them where to treat, but this was ignored or not passed to the tech. The tech showed up an was just wandering around my backyard without a probe (a stick would do) to check for fire ants. In the end I had to treat the yard myself. You'll have to be proactive to make sure services are confirmed and rechecked and actually done since I don't think the techs necessarily do what they are told say unless someone is watching. I am still not convinced the weep holes at the front of the house were dusted and meshed. The customer service is very friendly and helpful, however I have had to rebook a revisit because the rep did not enter my appointment correctly in their system. That is the general tone of this service. Friendly, but barely with it. I initially have it 2 stars, just out of shear frustration that I need to work for them to get them to do their job. I'll instead put 3 stars and see how things improve. read more

Scheduled a time with Bulwark and took time off work to be there. No one showed up, no one contacted me after they no-showed. I let it go and did not bother with a review. However, a few weeks later they started contacting me to schedule. I finally answered and told them what happened (zero apology by the way), and the person told me she would transfer me to a supervisor to close my account/cancel service. 1. Not sure how I have an account if no one ever performed the service. 2. Why do I have to wait on hold, just to speak to another person for less than 30 seconds to confirm they will cancel my account? I called in on Friday asking for bed bugs treatment on my condo. So, when they send the guy over, he told me that they don't treat bed bugs but the chemical that they uses treat bed bugs. So, I thought ok, I'll give it a try and see. All he did was spray the top of the bed and the carpets. Another exterminator came over for a free quote and she did a more thorough job finding the bed bugs than the guy from Bulwark. So, the spray didn't work because the bed bugs are still crawling under the bed. I called Bulwark and told them that I'm not interested in their service because not only did they just spray 1/4 of my house and that the spray didn't kill a single bug. They insist on me paying for 50% of what they are going to charge. There is also an addendum on their service agreement that states "Money Back Guarantee. If we are unable to resolve the problem, we'll refund your last charge." It's not "Money Back Guarantee" read more
