It was in two words... upscale Mexican food. Steak, carne asada, grilled chicken, and salmon. It was okay just not worth the $$$ in my opinion. Service was great! The restaurant was pretty loud but it was Father's Day. read more

My partner and I were excited to try the this place out after it launched to good buzz. We arrived to our 6:30 reservation and were seated promptly on the balcony. Our servers arrived and after a rocky introduction from one of the servers who was clearly in training we put our drink and food orders in and settled in for the night. The first item to come was the Crab Tostada, which ended up being more of a crab tartar which was tasty but not what a tostada is. Next up was the Empanada, also tasty but was actually a Tetela and not an empanada. The Sopes de Trompo were next, again very tasty three small bites (I wish restaurants would portion things out in either 2 or 4 pieces and not 3 to fit common party sizes, but what can you do). This is where the evening starts to really dip. At this point we're about 30-40 minutes into service, and we have the Lechuga salad and Duck entrée coming. At about 7:40 the Lechuga arrives without the Duck, and it's huge for a side salad. Up until now the portions have been small and manageable, what you would expect from a mid- to upscale restaurant in line with their pricing. We wait, and wait, and realize after 10-15 minutes that we haven't seen our servers since before 7:30. At 8:15 I'm finally able to flag them down from an adjacent table and ask for our check and to get our Duck entrée wrapped up to go, as they assured us it was on it's way. We are able to leave, entree uneaten, at 8:25. We won't be coming back. They didn't really try to apologize for anything, or even offer to comp anything. I get it, new restaurant, pandemic, etc. But in making the sale last night, they lost any future sales. In being so short sighted, they've shorted themselves in the long run, and now they've got this hit to their reputation to boot. We were so excited; we didn't want them to fail like this. The food was tasty, they just needed to be honest with themselves and with us. Such a shame. Tl:dr Inattentive, slow service, upper-mid level food at upscale prices, 1:55 dinner service and we didn't even get to eat our entrée. read more

Bulevar has very quickly become one of my favorite restaurants in Austin! ATX Cocina (their sister restaurant) has some friendly competition! The atmosphere is absolutely breathtaking, the design is phenomenal, and the food is incredible! I highly recommend the sirloin, the tuna tostada, and the frioles con queso. You really can't go wrong with anything on the menu! I can't wait to go back again! read more

Service was decent. Our appetizers were great. Salsa tasted and crab tostada. The entrees and side not so much. We ordered carne asada medium rare, and it was quite rare. They did give us another one that was cooked more medium rare-ish once we told them. Ordered the salmon medium rare and came out medium. Would not come back read more

VERY DELICIOUS! Highly recommend, the service was amazing. They explained every dish and how it's cooked. The ambiance was nice. It was packed and we did not have reservations we were seated within 15-20 min. read more

We loved our visit to Bulevar! One of my favorite restaurants while visiting Austin. Our server, Joe, was excellent. He gave us so many great food recommendations and we thoroughly enjoyed all the food we ordered. Highly recommend and will be back next time I'm in Austin! read more

Amazing place- completely gluten free! The food is so good, good drinks and wine list, beautiful location. I recommend this to anyone that wants to go on a fancy group dinner, a date, with family, etc. The outside seating is beautiful for an early dinner on the weekend. Service is excellent as well! read more

Great place, open fire dishes were really flavorful! The service was great even tho it was busy, the cocktails were good and strong definitely will be back I forgot to take pics! Haha read more

Over price food and drinks and food it's ok. The atmosphere is nice for a date. Service was ok.

Most over rated food. Ambience is good but too loud. It is too loud because of echo created by the room. I am not impressed with food at all. read more

Top notch steak spot. Be prepared to order one steak and split it because they're huge. Be prepared to work your way through the small plates and finish with a bang. read more

We had a reservation for the patio and even though I arrived early they sat us inside. That was disappointing since we wanted to sit outside but we sat inside. I had the good fortune to be sat underneath a spot where the AC leaked on our table, good and drink. Our server said it's either that or they have to turn the AC down and make it warm. I moved to the end of the table and had a shrub in my back the entire time. The food was not that great. The fish smelled fishy and didn't taste fresh at all. Our server said that's how ceviche is. That is incorrect. The key lime pie tasted like regular limes and the filling itself didn't meet the standards. I will say the meringue on top was amazing. Overall I wouldn't come back. It was overpriced and the food was lackluster. I was sick that night (ya know that fresh fish we had). Edit: our server...wanted to like her but she was abrupt, not friendly. We were nice to her and even cool about the AC situation but she didn't even apologize for that. Also, if the AC is a known issue maybe don't seat people at that table. We beat the dinner rush and over half the place was empty when we were seated. It didn't pick up for 30 minutes. Also, when you see the staff drinking protein drinks it says a lot about the food. read more

Overall, the experience was okay. Nice atmosphere, good service. Some of the menu items were nice (the duck carnitas and the pibil were excellent), while others like the lamb and shishito peppers were sub par. And the $10 salsa was quite bland, with zero heat. For the price paid, I would expect the quality to be stellar across the entire menu. We tried it, it was ok, just don't ever imagine going back. read more

Not much to say. Everything was spectacular. The Mixta Pibil has to be one of the great dishes in all of Austin. They have a great mezcal menu and they carry that smoky flavor successfully through the food menu as well. read more

Delicious food and excellent service! The prawns and filet were out of this world. The hamachi dish was beyond delicious.

One of my new favorite places to eat in Austin! They have an amazing happy hour, an absolutely stunning design, and incredible food and drink options. Love the lump crab guacamole, the queso with black beans, the tacos, the esquites, the papas, everything is amazing. Their margarita de la casa is so fresh and one of my favorites in the area. I love coming here! read more

Great upscale Mexican dining. Hard to find parking during peak time so you might want to valet. We loved everything here! Service was top notch. read more

To say that this was a wonderful experience would be an understatement. From the excellent service to the absolutely perfectly curated food, the entire evening was amazing. Starting with the flight of salsas, and anyone who has lived in Texas for any amount of time has tried all sorts of salsas, but these three I would rank as number 1, 2, and 3 of all the salsas I've ever tried. And every dish we tried was perfectly balanced, fresh tasting, and more amazing than the last. If you live anywhere in the area, you shouldn't walk here, you should run! read more

We came for the first time to try something new for our anniversary and will be adding it to our list of go to spots. At first look the menu can be hard to map out with items/ingredients we weren't familiar with... the cocktails have some uncommon flavor combos too. We had Emily as our waitress and she was great! she explained the menu and had awesome recommendations. Her favorite was a kanpachi. we ordered that and shared some small plates. It is big but one of the best things I have had in a long time! We opted for dessert to go (Churros!) and she brought a champagne toast for our anniversary while we waited. The restaurant is beautiful. It was storming while we were there but still beautiful to watch through the windows that wrap around the building. Good job, Bulevar! read more

bad service bad management At least two hours wait to get our dinner and the waitress blam us because we ordered steak and when the dinner served the steak was very rear not cooked read more

The best restaurant I've been to in Austin in a long long time. Crab guacamole was delicious to start. The lechuga salad was huge, and as a group of 3 we couldn't finish it. The chicken was the absolute best dish with creamy sauce that was to die for. The shrimp was great as well. read more

Food is creative and outstanding! Noise is deafening. Maybe outside is better when the weather is comfortable.

The patio is great, the service started off attentive, but then fell off after ordering. The appetizers were excellent, and we had high hopes, but then the entrees did not arrive at the same time, one guest sat for 15 minutes waiting while others had their food; drink order was forgotten and had to ask several times, probably took 30 minutes to finally get that margarita. I understand they've only been open a few weeks and have some kinks to work out, but overall the food and drinks pale in comparison to ATX Cocina, the flavors are just not there and we were pretty underwhelmed for a meal that cost over $200. read more

We have been twice in the last Month and already have reservations for a few weeks from now! Fantastic modern Mexican with great cocktails, an amazing view of the hill country and a fantastic staff - order the sweet potato, elote, and any of the meats cooked a las brasas! read more

The food here is incredible! The kitchen is open, and it's fun to see all the action. We had a table inside but needed to go on the patio to check out the view. Rolling hills were beautiful. We will be back with a group of friends, and make reservations for the patio next time. read more

The service is wonderful! The staff is very friendly! Wonderful ambiance too! The only thing that we didn't care for was the Caesar salad, it was too wet and the dressing wasn't good...... but, everything else was wonderful. read more

A celiac's dream, the entire kitchen is gluten free service was great, at one point our drink ticket got lost and due to the delay they comped the drink even though we never made a fuss about it. No I would not recommend this place. We had a family celebration here. The waiter forgot to bring me out my salad. We arrived at 7:15 with reservations. I did not get my main meal until around 8;45 PM. The drink I had was not good it. I so wanted to send it back. We still tipped the waiter good. But I will not be back and my family member won't either. I wish we would of went to Eddie V's. read more

My husband and I absolutely enjoyed this new restaurant! Starting with a wide assortment of tequila used in specialty cocktails specifically "La Sirena" and "Pasion y Paraiso" are 2 delicious options. For those of you who don't like tequila or mezcal, they also serve gin, vodka, rum, etc. However, you'll have an abundance of tequila and mezcal selections that'll keep you going back for more. As for our meal, I had the duck which was fabulous and hubby had the swordfish. The swordfish was delicious but of course the duck in mole sauce was better! The restaurant made a tiny mistake on our bill which was corrected threefold! We didn't expect it, nor were we rude in pointing it out. Their customer service is certainly exceptional! We intend to continue dining at Bulevar as well as tell everyone about it! Thanks Bulevar! read more

Food was great! Service kind of slow. Dinner took like 3 hours definitely nice if you're not in a hurry. We had 8PM reservation and didn't get out until around 11PM. Waiter was not too attentive. Drinks took forever and so did food. Overall the food was good. They said steak was cut by butcher early in the day. So if you want a steak it is 25 oz at $4.50 an oz. I can't eat a 25 oz steak was thinking I could order a 12oz one but was told they only sell the 20-25 oz. Ended up getting 10oz filet which was excellent. potatoes and corn excellent. Wife had fish and it was delicious. read more

Outstanding on all levels. Will keep coming back. Love their Happy Hour and always order everything on that menu!

Great flavors! It was really tasty and felt like some of the cuisine I had in portugal

The place is nice. Nice environment nice staffs. We ordered sauces to taste ,guacamole and oysters for start. The starters were very tasty. All the sauces were so fresh and lovely flavor. Oysters were a bit small but still very nice. Tortilla chips you can really taste the corn. However, the main course we waited for 45 mins. For the time that we waited, we expected something amazing. We ordered bone on ribeye. The lady said it is the best in the city. This ribeye didn't surprise me with the flavor but with its size lol The ribeye was crispy but very burn to be honest. All I could taste was burn meat. The inside was not cooked probably I couldn't even cut it up with the steak knife. I believe that something went wrong in the kitchen and they tried to save the steak and burned it really badly. It is sad to waste such a good steak. The size of the ribeye is for 2 people obviously. Even other waiter said to me they bet in kitchen for $10 I won't be able to finish it lol. However they lady didn't warn me that's for 2 people plus we had ordered many starters and sides. It would be great if she warned us for the steak then we might get something smaller. My wife ordered salmon but it was not fully cooked inside. I am not expert of cooking but I didn't expect to eat sashimi in A Mexican restaurant? She ate the skin and left half of the salmon. The meal was quite expensive. It costed $520 including tips. We still paid $120 for tips we understand how hard the waiters work. To be honest this restaurant is overrated. For the money I spent I can eat in Hawksmoor for a 2kg steak and be a happy man. Maybe we had the best in England, it is hard to compare. read more

Excellent food. Probably the best Mexican food I have ever eaten, so much that I don't know that I can even classify it that way vs upscale Latin steakhouse. The waitress initially got caught up with a big group which was frustrating but a second waiter and the manager took care of us from there. read more

The occasion was my son's birthday and as expected the food and ambience were great. My server did mess up our order but that was fine, it was a crazy busy evening. The only disappointment was the desert, we ordered Tres Leches and what we received seemed like bread pudding . I asked my server if it was what we ordered and she confirmed it. That cake was dry and had spices, nuts and currants in it which is not what you would expect in a TresLeches. If it was not for that experience I would have rated the restaurant at 5 stars. read more
