A friend and I grabbed dinner at Bulevar on a Thursday and it looked busy! We shared the chips & salsa and the Brussels sprouts. I got the bone in rib eye. For the beef, you pay per the ounce. It came out with onions on the side. I wish there was some rice but I got some tortillas and it tasted just as good. The views were really nice outside. It overlooks a bunch of trees. I would highly recommend this place for dinner and make a reservation. Parking was easy. There's a big parking lot but if you can't find parking, there's complimentary valet. read more

I went here for a company event (not my company). I didn't have the typical dining experience because of that, so my review only reflects my experience at a large group event. The event was held in the outside patio area. They have screens that go up once the sun goes down, and it appears to be a very romantic and intimate setting. I tried both the Margarita and the jardin verde. I absolutely LOVED the jardin verde. It was refreshing and the flavor combination was perfect. I would highly recommend this drink! I believe a few more people showed up to the event than were expected, so it was a bit crowded. That however, is not a reflection of this restaurant in general. I think the waitstaff were not expecting such a turnout and therefore the appetizers were pretty slim. They were gone as soon as the waitstaff came through the door. I will say the waitstaff were absolutely the best! Super nice and very friendly. They were professional and personable. I didn't really get a chance to try much of the food, but I was not very impressed with the appetizers I did try. The food seemed overly greasy. I did not order a meal, so I don't know that my review is completely accurate on their food in general. The view here is absolutely stunning. This is a great place for a romantic date. read more

Had a lovely dinner here last night. Great service and the food was top notch. We tried the shishito peppers, machete, duck carnitas, and short ribs. We enjoyed all the dishes. read more

Phenomenal. Best ribeye I have had in many years. Now I crave it. Only thing I would point out is that they do not have a kids menu. Not a big deal as the food, for adults, was awesome. I will be back many times. read more

Took the family to dinner on a night after Christmas. The atmosphere was perfect outside and our waiter, Gregory, was phenomenal. He made everything perfect (even when there were a couple of hiccups in the kitchen). Really enjoyed the dinner (Cesar salad, ceviche, shrimp, steak) and especially the service. read more

Great ambiance, delicious food, and the service was superb. We tried a lot of items of the menu starting off with sopes de trompo which were flavorful but so tiny I would hesitate to order again. We also tried Don Frijol and Queso and the Lump Crab Guacamole which were quickly devoured as they were paired with delicious homemade totopos. Machete was enough to share among four adults, the duck huarache *chef's kiss* and a must try in my humble opinion. As far as main dish the mixto pibil was my favorite. The swordfish was also good and filing but if looking for something lighter highly recommend the shrimp dish instead. Each dish was delivered by a different runner while describing dishes main ingredients. To cap our dinner we tried the flan brûlée that was topped off with berries, Overall we all loved the food and experience and excited to find elevated Mexican cuisine in Austin! read more

Well, it hardly gets better than this. This was our first visit to Bulevar. We had a gift card and chose the day before Valentine's to use it. We had a 6:15 reservation, but Lyft got us there well before that. We assumed we were in for a long wait, but the accommodating host people sat us at a very cozy and comfortable banquette table almost immediately. Extra credit for that. The good: Beautiful interior. Soaring ceilings and limestone walls. A tequila themed mural on a large expanse of wall. Warm lighting that set the tone for a romantic dinner. I know this place can be loud based on the comments of others, but we had no volume issues at our corner table. Excellent service which was prompt. Any questions about menu items answered by our thoughtful server. We had the flight of salsas with tortilla chips, all house-made and delicious. Sturdy chips that don't shatter when broken into smaller pieces for dipping. Thick salsas that don't drip everywhere between the bowl and your smiling face. Worth the $10 price tag. Good drinks. House Marg that was tasty and packed a punch. We shared the Hawaiian Kanpachi with 2 sides, the 'are you kidding me so delicious' entiques and yummy shishitoes. All of it was prepared and presented with skill and attention to detail. Our server checked in with us more than once to see if we needed anything. The churros we had for dessert tasted like they were freshly made, and perfectly rounded out our dinner, which, by the time we finished, nearly two hours later, found the place jam-packed with a sizable crowd waiting to be seated. Easy to see why this place is so popular. We will definitely be going back. Oh, the only quibble we had was not getting happy hour pricing for the drinks we ordered during happy hour, maybe because we stayed past happy hour? Not sure, and we decided it wasn't worth bringing up and possibly marring what was otherwise a stellar dining experience. Thank you, Bulevar! read more

Excellent ambiance, delicious food, wonderful service!!! The views from the back patio are stunning.

Amazing food with impeccable service! Been to Bulevar 6xs and have never had anything but the best experience.

Good food. Great view. Nice concept Went there for my birthday dinner. The service was wonderful. And for a new place it's was great. Tried a lot of food read more

Good food and cocktails. The ambiance was perfect for a romantic dinner. Excellent service.

Great center cut steak. 10/10. Got the machete and it was great as well. Did not care for the Nopales on it though. Potatoes were also finger licking good but I did have to scrape some of the sauce off because it was drowned in sauce. Great food over all read more

Okayyy this place really surprised me! There are a lot of good, high-end Mexican restaurants and this might be at the top or very close. Everything we had was so good! Duck carnitas huarache, mixto pibil, tuna tostada, and sopes. Ambience is also great and service was fast. The drinks were okay (and strongg). read more

Outstanding food, incredible service - but expect to wait FOREVER to get your food. We had a party of 12 and after 3 hours and 3 separate conversations with the manager, we were just getting up to leave when our food came out. This may be better suited for a romantic dinner for couples, not a business dinner with a team of people. read more

Since opening, Bulevar has really upped their game. Service, food, and atmosphere are all fantastic.

Food is okay, but I am 1st generation Mexican American, so Mexican food for me must be on point. This is not bad but it is overpriced. I don't plan on returning! The wait staff is great and the ambiance is nice too. So, if your looking for overpriced and just okay Mexican food then you will like it! read more

I simply love this restaurant! Not only is it well appointed with amazing ambience, but if you come in the evening around sunset it has spectacular views from the patio dining area. The bar area is comfortable and inviting with a large wood-burning fireplace. The service is impeccable and the food is outstanding. Do not miss the roasted chicken, it is to die for. I also highly recommend the duck carnitas and crab tostada. This is the perfect spot if you want to impress a date, your significant other, out of town friends and family, or business clientele. The cocktails are also fantastic and they have a selection of Mexican wines. read more

My experience with Bulevar is like a first date that went bad but I decided to give them another try and so far things have worked out. During my first visit with my husband it went a little like this. We had a 7:30 pm reservation on a Saturday and checked in with the host 5 min early. We were told our table wasn't quit ready yet so we waited for about a min or two looking around at the wonderfully designed restaurant. They have the bar area with lots of seating, a outdoor climate controlled patio in the back with a very large fireplace and a beautiful view to see the sunset and they also have some seating in a different sectioned off to the right of the bar. They hosted walked us a short way to our tiny table which was in the room to the right of the bar next to a ramp and the waiter room. Right off the bat, we were disappointed that they would sit someone there that actually had a reservation, if you see the table, you would understand. With that said, we asked to move and so we were moved down the way close to the entrance of the back patio. We felt more included with the other guests enjoying their meals. After being seated we were shortly after greeted by or waiter who graciously explained the menu after we told him it was our first time. He took our drink orders and let us finish reviewing the menu. I would like to say that the cocktails are very delicious and you simply can't go wrong. We had the Campo de Buenos ($17) and the El Nuevo Amanacer ($15) We started off with the Herby Guacamole since my husband has a shellfish allergy. I'm a tough critic when it comes to guacamole as I have won a few guacamole competitions with mine and so I found theirs a bit bland. I would highly recommend the don Frijol y queso instead, it has so much flavor and just delicious. We also ordered the Hamachi which I highly recommend as well. Now, for our main course we thought we would try something off of their Carnes a las Brasas section of their menu. Before ordering the Porterhouse ($4.5/oz) we asked our waiter about how many oz we should expect for a table for two (not mentioned on the menu what to expect) and he said between 20oz and 24oz which we thought would be fine for us and if we had any left over we could simply take it home. Also, guesstimating $108 dollars for a shared meal if we were given a 24oz would be fine. So we went ahead and ordered the Porterhouse along with the broccolini ($14). We waited about 40 min for our main course to come out and by that time needed a third cocktail to have with our meal. When the Porterhouse arrived, it was no wonder it took so long, the plate of meat was HUGE and almost took up half of our table. It took 2 people to set it and arrange on our table. It looked delicious and it was but we had SO, SO much left over and my husband turns to me and says that his guess was that it was way over 24oz and sure enough we finished our meal and got the check. The Porterhouse that we were give was 50oz ($225)!!! Who gives a table for two that much meat! We definitely felt like we were taken advantage off. We had major sticker shock especially since we were told we would get around 24oz, not 50oz! So our total check came out to $400.53. Luckily we could pay that but, when you are not expecting to pay that much for a dinner, I think that would shock anyone. My husband and I must have showed it on our faces how sticker shocked we were cause we were approached by a different waitress and asked if we were celebrating anything, which we weren't. She said I think you are celebrating something and walked away. A few moments later she brought us some churros and then our waiter brought us a coke bottle filled with flowers and it had a hand written birthday note. Now it was nice for them to do that for us but we would have preferred that our meal didn't cost $400. We left again feeling like we were taken advantage of and they had a guilty conscious with all the free gifts at the end. The food was delicious and the service was great but words of advice would be to order items off the menu with a set price cause who knows how many oz you will get. Simply, buyer beware. We have been back twice and have never experience anything like our first but never will we order from the Carnes a las Brasas section of their menu which is disappointing cause it was really good. read more

Horrible experience! My wife and daughter went here a month ago and loved it in full transparency. However, We had a group of six and waited over two hours for food from the time of order.?? They must've made a mistake and I'm sure this is not representative of this highly reviewed restaurant, but our experience was pretty painful. On top of that five out of six meals came after two hours. They entirely forgot my shrimp. Had to wait another 30 minutes for my entrée to come out. Pretty embarrassing as everyone was done in the sides we ordered were cold/finished prior to even getting my entrée which honestly wasn't even that great. I give the GM credit as he credited two of our entrées, but with the drinks sides, etc. still cost a substantial amount for a very poor experience. Just thought I would share an honest, balanced review. read more

First of all, I loved Z Tejas. Good food and some wonderful views of the hills. It had always had an interesting layout. Now the food is much better than I ever remember from Z Tejas. Don't come to this place. I brought my family here to sit at bar or get a table. They have two guys holding seat chairs at the bar for their friends for the last hour and manager won't do a thing. Margaritas were so good! Good service, but quite busy. The ambiance was perfect. Outdoor area was perfect for the nice cool weather

We celebrated our friend's birthday at Bulevar and had an amazing time! The gentleman who took care of us was very knowledgeable of all the dishes they offer. His description and recommendations were spot on. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their entrees. The ingredients were fresh, and while the cuisine was somewhat new to us, they were easy on the palate and absolutely delightful. We got to try each other's dishes, and also ordered enough sides to share around - as recommended. The restaurant also easily accommodated our group of 8, along with the birthday cake we brought to be served as our meal finisher. Great ambience - modern and classy, they really elevated the space since taking over from the previous establishment. Not casual but not overly spiffy either - just right! Chef kiss!! read more

Food was amazing. The plates are big enough to share if you're not starving we had the "beans and cheese" which is their version of chips and queso. Big start so take it easy. Then we split the half chicken which was delicious and tender. Also shared the blistered shashitos. Great bones from the old Z Tejas but moody ambiance and very chill. Service was quick since we sat at the bar. Walk up had an hour wait bar was wide open. read more

I came here Friday for HH and really enjoyed their margaritas. The food was great and a nice taste of their full menu. We sat in the back and got a great view of the sunset. there's a warm fireplace to offset the colder weather. Then i came here Saturday for a birthday. The parking lot is full, so we had to park in the street. There were spots but the spaces are small and everyone drives a fancy SUV so even as i squeezed in, i couldn't get out of my little car. Also, Eddie V's is right next door so it's busy! The restaurant is nicely lit, dim but warm, we sat in the main room, visible to all people entering. Our server Monique and for HH Miguel were both so great. They are busy, so be patient! Monique really explained the main menu well. For three girls we got 2 apps, ceviche, guac and salsa for the table, 3 drinks each, 2 veggies, 2 entrees and dessert and it was $400 and we left full. I love the flavors. They are a sister restaurant to ATX cocina so i was expecting great food and got it. Machete is a must. The lamb tasted great. The BBQ shrimp entree was limey and less BBQ and 5 pieces of shrimp was considered enough for an entree. Try the brussels as it's a different flavoring than i am used to at most restaurants and the Japanese sweet potatoes are a must. Our sweet potatoes came out before everything else and i think it went to the wrong table. There are food runners that help the servers and i think they could develop a better process to know where the food goes. when sweet potatoes came out again, we told him we already got our side. My friends don't like raw fish, but really enjoyed the hamachi. the 3 salsas that come with the chips are different and so good (great chips, unlimited). I haven't talked about the drinks, they are awesome. Get the margarita and the eucolypso. Go easy on the margaritas or you might end up drunk :) read more

Unbelievable experience, service, and food. I go to Bulevar for every special occasion and this is my favorite spot to bring people who are visiting from out of town. Great for a party of 6 or a date night for 2 and typically pretty easy to get a reservation. I most recently went with my family and we were greeted and well taken care of by our server as well as the assistant GM, Willis. Bulevar is a top tier restaurant for anyone, but I personally love how this is a fully gluten free kitchen. LOVE THIS PLACE AND WOULD GIVE 10 stars if I could. read more
