Probably the restaurant of my dreams. You won't find healthy food anywhere on the menu. Leave your diet at home, but bring your fat pants because everything is delicious. The hot dogs are superior, fries are excellent. Save room for dessert and try the El Churro. The best part of the whole experience is not the food, but the people. We went here with no knowledge and no expectations. After figuring out how to order we sat down and waited for our to go order. We had a long wait but I have to tell you it was absolutely delicious. The bun was sooo good and I had a chilidog that I could pick up and eat. Usually have to use a fork and knife. The tator tots were great and so was the sweet tator fries. Found this place while searching for a place to eat after a day swimming at the Lake. Yelp reviews were great so we gave it a try. It did not disappoint!! Hot dogs were delicious, buns were grilled just right. Hubby had the chili pie and he said it was top notch. My son had the PB, banana & strawberry jelly sandwich and he loved it...which is saying a lot considering he's a picky eater! Tater tots were very crispy and well seasoned and the shakes are the real deal....real hand scooped ice cream that's blended with real strawberries. Yum! R.I.P. to my weight loss goal. I walked into Buldogies with a flat stomach and left with pants that couldn't button. This was a food experience that I am so lucky to have been a part of. Amazing service and great food. I am blown away by the quality and variety. I was so excited about the creativity of using a roll instead of a regular hot dog bun and then all the different toppings, wow. I wasn't impressed. Maybe it was because I stopped by mid week. The Mac and bacon cheese was not fresh or good.... Which is hard to say since it contains cheese and bacon! I will say the hot dog was good, very good! The bun made the hotdog for sure! If I go back that is the only thing I will order and make it to go. Last time I sat at the bar, my eyes burned from lack of ventilation. While the staff is very friendly, I just wasn't blown away. Brisket on buttered (and crisped on the griddle) texas toast, along w/ pico de gallo, sauerkraut + melted cheese -- yum!!! A bottle of ice cold root beer and seasoned tater tots hit the spot as well. I went for a weekday lunch. The service was fast and friendly. I got my hot dog very quickly. The buns are very good and so are the all beef franks. I think that if they just did a few more things it would earn them a five star. The cheese is a cheese sauce not a shredded cheese, the chili was canned as well, and the sweet tea is a single serving size that comes in a plastic bottle. Just adding a good sweet tea would be awesome. Are the hot dogs good? Absolutely. With a few minor adjustments they could be fantastic though. In their defense it goes with their vibe though. I have been to Buldogies 3 times and the hotdogs are amazing! You have to write your order on a ticket and give it to the cooks at the counter which is a little strange (I don't mind it, just different) The homemade lemonade is really good, the chili hotdog is my fave and the fries are excellent. Service is friendly, food comes out pretty quick and the place seems clean. The prices are ok, I hope they don't increase though. A single hot dog will cost between $4 - $7 that's not including a side or a drink. Haven't ventured out to try anything else out on the menu but the hotdogs alone are worth the visit. read more
