    Curry Ramen
    Jacquelyn C.

Food here is okay, solid option for the area. I got the curry ramen which was alright--I wish the curry flavor was stronger. The yellowtail sashimi was fresh and I liked the toppings on it. We also tried the popcorn chicken which is a pretty good size for a snack/appetizer--would definitely recommend this if you like Taiwanese popcorn chicken. The boba drinks here are alright, I do wish the tea flavor was a little bit stronger.

Had the absolute pleasure of having lunch at Xin noodle house and everything I had was 10 of 10. First of all the service was great- no complaints there. For an appetizer I had the lion king roll and it was soo fresh and super tasty. Next I had the spicy miso ramen and that broth was what ramen dreams are made of!! Off the charts flavor and I have tried just about every ramen place in the area. For dessert I got a tiger milk tea with boba and it was also delicious. I will definitely be back! They even gave us a fancy bag instead of plastic one to take home our leftover ramen because baby the portions are huge! I didn't take any food pics because I devoured everything immediately!

Shaggy dog and Spicy girl rolls - looked nice but were somewhat underwhelming

We came here expecting another mid-quality urban restaurant, and were met with Marble, cozy chairs, and great food. My dad said his two rolls were a bit underwhelming, and I sadly must agree with him. On the other hand, both my grandfather and myself were pleasantly surprised by our deep fried rolls, and the snow crab salad on top of the Mount Fuji roll was excellent. The servers were kind, as is to be expected anywhere, and we didn't have to wait more than 10 minutes for all our food and drinks. Overall, 9/10 and we WILL be coming back sooner rather than later.

I'm the first to eat here! Ha! Delicious! I'm surrounded by marble and comfy seating. I enjoyed some assorted sushi, spicy seafood Ramen, House Dumpling, boba, and fruit tea. Wow it was amazing! It was my mother's birthday, so I promised her she'd eat here today. Well, I had to get it to go instead and she still loved it. Thanks to all the awesome staff. Great location, super delicious food. I'm heating up my leftovers right now.

Service was top tier! Very friendly. The food was delicious! And the ambiance was elegant yet welcoming. Great location too! We will definitely be back!

The XIN Noodle House - The Hot Saké and we (The Galvan's) were the first to order, The Hot Saké, during their opening.

XIN Noodle House, is elegant and exquisite. The Chicken Ramen was rich and delicious and the Chicken Fried Rice was amazing, along with the Hot Saké. It's a must Japanese and Chinese fine dining cuisine.

    Octopus appetizer

Upscale feel, delicious food and fantastic customer service. The atmosphere was upbeat, we absolutely enjoyed the music, it made the restaurant feel very inviting. For starters we ordered the crab Rangoon's and octopus appetizers, rangoon were a little sweeter for my taste but still crunchy and fresh. Sushi was outstanding, we could not get enough. We ended the evening with a sake bomb, which we recommend, we will definitely be back soon! Thank you Xin Noodle House!

We went here because we were attending a skills USA competition around the area. This place looked the yummiest but we were deceived. The waiter kind of ignored us and considering we had a time limit to get back it was frustrating. The waiter came to take our order about 15 minutes later and we got our food before we got our drinks. Also we got our meals before we got our appetizers. Our tab came out to $127 and honestly it was not at all worth it the food tasted really bland and the service was not the best. Do NOT recommend and this is coming from someone going to state btw

The sushi was excellent, but the Tonkotsu pork ramen was bland--disappointing for a noodle house.

Excellent service and consistent flavorful fresh food. We can see them making wonderful dishes through a visible glass enclosure. We all wish for an outdoor dining area- - we tend to choose restaurants with covered patios and we love to sit outside, so we do not choose Mimi Garden as often as we might, if they had a nice patio!! Nonetheless, we will always be back!! Every dish is delish!! A delight! All items are tasty here, from appetizers to main courses and desserts! Photos taken at last visit.

You really can't go wrong with anything on the menu. Some of our favorites include the cucumber salad, BBQ pork buns, pan-fried beef dumplings, spicy noodles with sesame sauce, sautéed string beans with garlic, pan-fried rice cakes with shrimp, shrimp and pork wontons with spicy sauce, steamed chicken dumplings, and Mongolian beef. The crispy beef roll is my personal favorite! The popcorn chicken with basil is crispy and delicious, the pineapple beef is great, and the tornado fries are so much fun and incredibly crispy. Everything we've tried has been delicious! My main complaints are the business hours and the temperature inside the restaurant. Closing at 9:00 p.m. on weekends seems way too early, especially for a restaurant. The last-call issue is also consistently a problem. We were not told that it was last call, and around 8:50 p.m., my kids wanted to order a few small items, including dessert, but we were told, "Sorry, the kitchen is closed." Then, as soon as it gets close to closing time, it really feels like they are trying to rush customers out. Since we dine here almost weekly, this has been an ongoing and consistent issue. The restaurant can also be extremely hot inside depending on where you sit. The AC does not seem to work very well, which can make the dining experience uncomfortable, especially during the warmer months. I really wish they would either stay open later on weekends or clearly let customers know when last call is before the kitchen closes. I also hope they can improve the AC. Aside from those issues, the food is fantastic, and Mimi's Garden remains one of my favorite places to eat!

Staff was very friendly and attentive, the ambiance is about as good as you can get in a Marriott hotel, but the real star of the show here was the food. I will say the prices are a bit higher than Fungs or other dim sum classic spots in Houston. Still worth it, and their homemade hot sauce is amazing. It's a tapas style dim sum place, so if that is what you are into, like me, this is a must try. Pork buns were sweet and very tasty. They were not filled as much as I would like but the flavor is really nice. 8.9/10 Sui Mai was an excellent. No real notes. 9.3/10 Crystal shrimp dumpling was classic but the flavor was really nice paired with the hot sauce it's a 9.4/10 Crispy shrimp was by far the fan favorite. Really nice combination of flavors and textures. This is a must have. 9.5/10 The sticky ribs were not my favorite. I thought they would be traditional ribs. They were like steamed riblets. 4.5/10 Mushroom bao was interesting, it's a good dish to try I wouldn't get it again though. 6/10 The taro dumpling was my least favorite. Just lacked any real flavor. 3.5/10 Overall I would highly recommend this if you are interested in trying dim sum and not driving to Chinatown.

The main course was a bit lackluster: hard egg noodles in a very bland gravy sauce. Since they didn't have the pork rice available, I settled for it, but I should have gone for the soup, the only item I was actually looking forward to. For a restaurant inside a hotel lobby? Not bad! I'd be back for the appetizers. Also, for the final course, we waited on our dessert only to watch the table next to us get theirs first (they ordered the same thing). After 20 minutes, I just told the waitstaff to bring the check and skip dessert. The manager comped my meal and explained the AC in the kitchen was out and they were backed up. Fair enough.

The woman who took the order over the phone and at the pick up counter wasn't very personable. Seemed as if she was rushing around although the restaurant wasn't at all busy inside. Perhaps just having a bad night? We ordered Chicken Lo Mein, General Tao's, Honey Walnut Chicken, crab puffs, and spring rolls -- portions for dishes were fairly standard, all of which were just ok regarding flavor and texture. General Tso's lacked spice and the texture of the chicken was gristly. Lo Mein was average tasting. Honey Walnut Chicken actually had more spice than the General Tso's... but regardless, was pretty bland. The crab puffs had hardly any cream cheese filling, and the ends of the fried pieces were hard and chewy which was disappointing. How can you screw up a crab puff? The best thing we ate were the spring rolls which were light and crispy paired with the sweet and sour sauce. We wanted to like this place, however, there are far superior Chinese restaurants in the area. I doubt we will try again.

They're spiced and delicious. I thought they'd be stale since every table literally had a bowl. But they weren't. I also loved how they brought out a bowl of hot and sour soup while looking at the menu. Really nice touch. They were out of a number of items. I saw they had green takeaway bags like Mi Mi's does but when we asked for a to go box they only brought out ordinary plastic bags. A bit disappointed there. But it's fine. The Dan Dan noodles is C3 (Spicy Noodles with Sesame Sauce Contain Peanuts /S CP). It looked so colorful online that I questioned whether it would taste any good. But it actually was quite tasty. It's served on a plate and not a bowl. The Taiwanese salt and pepper chicken D7 was pretty good as was the Crab Rangoon. $8 for 6 pieces was cheaper than MiMi and actually I like the taste better. The wonton was crunchier and not as thick as MiMi's. We also got the C2 Huainan beef noodle soup. Primarily because it was one of the few soups not labeled as spicy. It wasn't bad. We wanted to take it home and the waitress just gave us one of those takeout purse boxes. Pretty sure it would've soaked right through. So I asked and they actually do have plastic soup containers too. I really love the decor as well. It just looks like a hodgepodge of knick knacks collected including a British telephone booth of all things. My favorite are the many sakura trees.

However, I've noticed that the prices have gone up while the portions, especially the amount of meat, have gotten noticeably smaller. I usually order the combination pho, and while the broth is very flavorful, there is surprisingly little meat in the bowl. Our bowls also had no tendon or tripe, which was disappointing since it's supposed to be a combination pho. One thing that really stood out to me was the difference between the regular and large combination pho. The large bowl has significantly more broth, but it looks like it has pretty much the same amount of meat as the regular bowl. If you're ordering the large because you want more meat and ingredients, you may be disappointed. I don't mind paying a little more when the quality and portions justify it, but at the current prices, I would expect the amount of meat to be more generous. The flavors are still really good, but for the price, the value just isn't what it used to be.
