    Curry Ramen
    Jacquelyn C.

Food here is okay, solid option for the area. I got the curry ramen which was alright--I wish the curry flavor was stronger. The yellowtail sashimi was fresh and I liked the toppings on it. We also tried the popcorn chicken which is a pretty good size for a snack/appetizer--would definitely recommend this if you like Taiwanese popcorn chicken. The boba drinks here are alright, I do wish the tea flavor was a little bit stronger.

Had the absolute pleasure of having lunch at Xin noodle house and everything I had was 10 of 10. First of all the service was great- no complaints there. For an appetizer I had the lion king roll and it was soo fresh and super tasty. Next I had the spicy miso ramen and that broth was what ramen dreams are made of!! Off the charts flavor and I have tried just about every ramen place in the area. For dessert I got a tiger milk tea with boba and it was also delicious. I will definitely be back! They even gave us a fancy bag instead of plastic one to take home our leftover ramen because baby the portions are huge! I didn't take any food pics because I devoured everything immediately!

Great food, great service, clean restaurant and bathrooms fun atmosphere and wonderful ambience.

Shaggy dog and Spicy girl rolls - looked nice but were somewhat underwhelming

We came here expecting another mid-quality urban restaurant, and were met with Marble, cozy chairs, and great food. My dad said his two rolls were a bit underwhelming, and I sadly must agree with him. On the other hand, both my grandfather and myself were pleasantly surprised by our deep fried rolls, and the snow crab salad on top of the Mount Fuji roll was excellent. The servers were kind, as is to be expected anywhere, and we didn't have to wait more than 10 minutes for all our food and drinks. Overall, 9/10 and we WILL be coming back sooner rather than later.

I'm the first to eat here! Ha! Delicious! I'm surrounded by marble and comfy seating. I enjoyed some assorted sushi, spicy seafood Ramen, House Dumpling, boba, and fruit tea. Wow it was amazing! It was my mother's birthday, so I promised her she'd eat here today. Well, I had to get it to go instead and she still loved it. Thanks to all the awesome staff. Great location, super delicious food. I'm heating up my leftovers right now.

    Octopus appetizer

Upscale feel, delicious food and fantastic customer service. The atmosphere was upbeat, we absolutely enjoyed the music, it made the restaurant feel very inviting. For starters we ordered the crab Rangoon's and octopus appetizers, rangoon were a little sweeter for my taste but still crunchy and fresh. Sushi was outstanding, we could not get enough. We ended the evening with a sake bomb, which we recommend, we will definitely be back soon! Thank you Xin Noodle House!

Service was top tier! Very friendly. The food was delicious! And the ambiance was elegant yet welcoming. Great location too! We will definitely be back!

The XIN Noodle House - The Hot Saké and we (The Galvan's) were the first to order, The Hot Saké, during their opening.

XIN Noodle House, is elegant and exquisite. The Chicken Ramen was rich and delicious and the Chicken Fried Rice was amazing, along with the Hot Saké. It's a must Japanese and Chinese fine dining cuisine.

We went here because we were attending a skills USA competition around the area. This place looked the yummiest but we were deceived. The waiter kind of ignored us and considering we had a time limit to get back it was frustrating. The waiter came to take our order about 15 minutes later and we got our food before we got our drinks. Also we got our meals before we got our appetizers. Our tab came out to $127 and honestly it was not at all worth it the food tasted really bland and the service was not the best. Do NOT recommend and this is coming from someone going to state btw

Albert, Susan, Jason, and I came for our first visit and ordered whatever sounded good, then shared everything family-style--which turned into quite the feast. We tried the pork soup dumplings, separate orders of steamed pork, chicken, and beef dumplings, the crispy beef roll, fried shrimp balls, pineapple beef, combo fried noodles, Mongolian beef, and the swan dessert. The pork soup dumplings were my favorite: hot, juicy, freshly made, and absolutely worth ordering. The crispy beef roll was another standout, especially with all that fresh cilantro. The shrimp balls were crispy outside and tender and flavorful inside, and the pineapple beef was served inside a hollowed-out pineapple with a sweet flavor similar to sweet-and-sour beef, minus the sour. The Mongolian beef and combo fried noodles were both good additions, and we had plenty of leftovers because the portions were generous. The value is honestly excellent for both the amount and caliber of food. I tried apple sake for the first time and loved it, while Jason's nigori sake paired perfectly with the meal. The food arrived at a comfortable pace, so we could actually enjoy each dish instead of having the entire table buried at once. Vicky was wonderful. She helped us understand what was in the different dishes and made excellent recommendations. The swan dessert had a red bean filling and came with "Welcome to Mimi Garden" written in chocolate, which made our first visit feel especially thoughtful. The restaurant was exceptionally clean, tables were cleared almost immediately after guests left, parking was easy, and the atmosphere was soft and peaceful with quiet music and low conversation. You can also watch the food being made through the large glass wall, which added to the experience. This place works as a hidden gem, a date-night spot, or a relaxed dinner with friends. Delicious food, beautiful presentation, great service, generous portions, and prices that make you wonder why every seat is not already taken. We will absolutely be back.

First thing I noticed was how cute the restaurant was decorated! Lots of decor on the walls with soft instrumental music playing. Our hostess/waitress was extremely polite and very sweet! We ordered the Cucumber Salad, Pork & Shrimp Xiao Long Bao, Braised Beef Shank Szechuan Noodle Soup, and the Pork Wontons with Spicy Sauce. Overall, the food was good but not great. I felt like I had to keep adding the soy sauce, black vinegar, and chile oil mixture to everything to bring out more flavor. I would probably come back one more time just to try out other menu items to see if I like it more. I'd give them 4.5 stars if the app would let me.

Staff was very friendly and attentive, the ambiance is about as good as you can get in a Marriott hotel, but the real star of the show here was the food. I will say the prices are a bit higher than Fungs or other dim sum classic spots in Houston. Still worth it, and their homemade hot sauce is amazing. It's a tapas style dim sum place, so if that is what you are into, like me, this is a must try. Pork buns were sweet and very tasty. They were not filled as much as I would like but the flavor is really nice. 8.9/10 Sui Mai was an excellent. No real notes. 9.3/10 Crystal shrimp dumpling was classic but the flavor was really nice paired with the hot sauce it's a 9.4/10 Crispy shrimp was by far the fan favorite. Really nice combination of flavors and textures. This is a must have. 9.5/10 The sticky ribs were not my favorite. I thought they would be traditional ribs. They were like steamed riblets. 4.5/10 Mushroom bao was interesting, it's a good dish to try I wouldn't get it again though. 6/10 The taro dumpling was my least favorite. Just lacked any real flavor. 3.5/10 Overall I would highly recommend this if you are interested in trying dim sum and not driving to Chinatown.

I've done Peking…read moreCuisine for years and shifted to Arco for my duck cravings, but if you're willing to drive out to Humble (pretty much anytime you're in the IAH area), you gotta check out Bamboo House for the best Peking duck. And their other menu items are fire as well! We went on a Sunday late evening. We had a 9 pm airport pickup at IAH so it was a perfect opportunity to grab a spectacular dinner and make the 30+ minute drive out to IAH totally worth it. Parking lot wasn't too full so that wasn't an issue. While the neighborhood ain't River Oaks luxury, it ain't too scary either. We kept it simple - ordered a whole duck and Bamboo House Special Noodle with Beef. This place ain't cheap but the food is worth every penny. It was very busy that evening so it's not a well-kept secret but also proves that eventually, Houstonians will figure out where the good food is. The duck was near perfect. They serve the duck with the pancakes (as opposed to the buns like at Arco) which is my preference. The soup that comes with it was also extremely flavorful. And the house special noodles with beef - oh my. I swear it's just one really long noodle so you may be frustrated trying to divvy up the family style bowl, but the labor is worth it. So good... Can't wait for my next airport run so I can sneak in a lunch or dinner at this place. So many other menu items I want to try!

I had previously visited the now closed Bamboo House on Westheimer and I remember being impressed by the food. I had to make an airport run and decided that it would be perfect timing to stop by this location. I highly recommend ordering the duck ahead of time, but we were lucky enough to snag one of the last ducks when we arrived around 7 pm on a Sunday evening. The waitress was super friendly and upbeat and the restaurant is older but well maintained. You can see where the food is being prepared/cooked and you can see ducks being cooked/warmed behind a glass window. The duck was absolutely spectacular with the perfect seasoned and tender meat accompanied by well rendered crispy skin. I love how the pancakes are paper thin and pair well with the scrumptious duck and other toppings. They also provide sugar and plum sauce as additional toppings which I thought was interesting but not my cup of tea. The duck soup was extremely flavorful and full bodied and went well with the duck. The noodles were also amazing with likely hand pulled noodles served with an abundance of tender beef and vegetables with a little Sichuan kick. I was intrigued by a strawberry chicken dish that I saw on the menu and I plan to try it the time. My diagnosis: hands down the best Peking duck in the greater Houston area!

The woman who took the order over the phone and at the pick up counter wasn't very personable. Seemed as if she was rushing around although the restaurant wasn't at all busy inside. Perhaps just having a bad night? We ordered Chicken Lo Mein, General Tao's, Honey Walnut Chicken, crab puffs, and spring rolls -- portions for dishes were fairly standard, all of which were just ok regarding flavor and texture. General Tso's lacked spice and the texture of the chicken was gristly. Lo Mein was average tasting. Honey Walnut Chicken actually had more spice than the General Tso's... but regardless, was pretty bland. The crab puffs had hardly any cream cheese filling, and the ends of the fried pieces were hard and chewy which was disappointing. How can you screw up a crab puff? The best thing we ate were the spring rolls which were light and crispy paired with the sweet and sour sauce. We wanted to like this place, however, there are far superior Chinese restaurants in the area. I doubt we will try again.

They are not related to another similar sounding restaurant Nee Hao, over near the airport. Their layout is L shaped once inside and fairly bright compared to old school Chinese restaurants with darker floors and interiors. I felt the interior is very mixmatched with a tropical theme in one area, a replica british telephone booth in another area, a room decorated in numerous flowers, and restrooms with distressed wood looking porcelain giving off a Texas country vibe. The space does have high ceilings, which is fairly unique for a casual Chinese restaurant. The menu contains 2 parts, their standard menu and a separate single-page combo menu. Each combo which is a few dollars more than the entree and comes with iced tea, a sesame ball, a fried chicken wing, crispy spring roll, a soup and crispy wonton chips. Wow, they really include a lot for just a few dollars more. Most of the entrees are your typical Americanized Chinese dishes but a few are more authentic, like the 3 different fish filled dishes and the black pepper chicken cutlet. Their regular menu has hot pot, some Sichuan cuisine appetizers, beef noodle dishes, Taiwanese dishes, veggies, a fried section, and a fried rice and noodle section. Some of the more interesting dishes include a swan-shaped durian pastry, brown sugar sticky rice cake, and 2 different stir-fried crawfish dishes. I went with the tried and true Mongolian beef combo. This turned out to be one of the best Mongolian beef dishes I've ever had. It gets an 8 as far as presentation and is very colorful. It comes with cilantro and diced green onions, which you dont see very often on this dish. The sauce, which is normally a thick brown, is a lighter chili oil here instead and tastes like a dish you would eat at the more authentic Chinese restaurants in Bellaire area. The beef is very tender and melts in your mouth. I was unfortunately not a fan of the chicken wing or the vegetarian spring roll. Maybe it was the oil they fry them in.....not sure. Service here is pretty good as well. My iced tea was refilled a few times as needed. I will say their TV's were on the fritz during my visit amd should be checked. One had no signal and another above my table was frozen on a children's program.
