The crispy beef roll is my personal favorite! The popcorn chicken with basil is crispy and delicious, the pineapple beef is great, and the tornado fries are so much fun and incredibly crispy. Everything we've tried has been delicious! My main complaints are the business hours and the temperature inside the restaurant. Closing at 9:00 p.m. on weekends seems way too early, especially for a restaurant. The last-call issue is also consistently a problem. We were not told that it was last call, and around 8:50 p.m., my kids wanted to order a few small items, including dessert, but we were told, "Sorry, the kitchen is closed." Then, as soon as it gets close to closing time, it really feels like they are trying to rush customers out. Since we dine here almost weekly, this has been an ongoing and consistent issue. The restaurant can also be extremely hot inside depending on where you sit. The AC does not seem to work very well, which can make the dining experience uncomfortable, especially during the warmer months. I really wish they would either stay open later on weekends or clearly let customers know when last call is before the kitchen closes. I also hope they can improve the AC. Aside from those issues, the food is fantastic, and Mimi's Garden remains one of my favorite places to eat!

It's served on a plate and not a bowl. The Taiwanese salt and pepper chicken D7 was pretty good as was the Crab Rangoon. $8 for 6 pieces was cheaper than MiMi and actually I like the taste better. The wonton was crunchier and not as thick as MiMi's. We also got the C2 Huainan beef noodle soup. Primarily because it was one of the few soups not labeled as spicy. It wasn't bad. We wanted to take it home and the waitress just gave us one of those takeout purse boxes. Pretty sure it would've soaked right through. So I asked and they actually do have plastic soup containers too. I really love the decor as well. One thing that really stood out to me was the difference between the regular and large combination pho. The large bowl has significantly more broth, but it looks like it has pretty much the same amount of meat as the regular bowl. If you're ordering the large because you want more meat and ingredients, you may be disappointed. I don't mind paying a little more when the quality and portions justify it, but at the current prices, I would expect the amount of meat to be more generous. The flavors are still really good, but for the price, the value just isn't what it used to be.
