It was my first visit to Dragon Bowl C, and the experience stood out right away. The place is decked out in Dragon Ball Z decor--from the walls to the tables--which makes the atmosphere fun and engaging, with something cool to notice everywhere you look. The service was excellent; Cammy and Stephanie were attentive throughout our visit. Our food arrived quickly, within about 10 minutes of ordering. Before coming in, I had seen a few reviews mentioning the food was bland, but that wasn't our experience at all. I ordered the Saiyan Noodles and GOGO noodles with a moderate spice level, and both had solid flavor. Overall, the quality was good, though I do wish the portions were a bit larger. My wife ordered the Takoyaki, something we try whenever we find it, and it didn't disappoint. The initial bite wasn't overly fishy, and the flavors were well balanced. I am neither an anime fan nor a Ramen connoisseur however I really enjoyed this place. I actually thought this was a comic bookstore when i first walked by. Dragon Bowl C is full of anime art and tv's showing anime. I sent pics to my daughters (both in their early 20's) and they were jealous. We ordered some brisket egg rolls to start, and these were delicious. 3 egg rolls cut in half full of bbq'd brisket and cheese. Delicious and cheap. 4.00! I then got a brisket Ramen as well. I tried the food here using Uber Eats. I ordered the Chicken Pot Stickers and the GoGo Noodle with Steak. The chicken pot stickers was delicious and cooked perfectly. However the GoGo Noodle with Steak was bland and very disappointed. This was my first time at the new location and I loved the decor in here. I enjoyed my egg rolls, Korean BBQ wings and fries. My husband ordered the Texas Twinkie and Angkor bowl and he enjoyed his meal as well. The Dragon Ball Z aesthetic is cool, but unfortunately the food doesn't match the vibe. We tried the Beerus Pho with khao poon broth and a custom ramen with beef broth, and both were incredibly bland/basically flavored water. The toppings were good, but nothing could save the broth. The boba, however, was fantastic. The Love Potion (coconut strawberry milk) recommended by our server was the best part of the visit. This place is SO GOOD! We came in one night for boba and some of the eggrolls. My husband got the Philly and the spicy chicken one. He really loved them. I tried a bite of each and they were alright to me. I got the taro milk tea boba. The boba is so good and they have a lot of options. My kids are picky and they all loved something from here so that's a win for me. They all got vegan pho and the veggie spring rolls. My little one (who usually likes spice) thought the lemongrass broth was spicy (it wasn't) and just ate the spring rolls but really loved them. The ramen and pho is where this place really shines! I also got some of the veggie potstickers and they were alright but I think I was expecting something more traditional. They were covered in sauce. Still good but not what I was expecting. If you choose to sit and eat, there's a bar next door with seating that has a decent atmosphere. The restaurant doesn't really have seating and is very small. Great for take away or eating at the bar next door. The service was outstanding. The guy who took our order was very patient and kind. We were ordering for 5 and there was a bit of a line behind us but nobody rushed us and he answered all of our questions. The one thing I'd love to see is more veggie options for the soup. There are 3 things you can add into your soup. We also got mushrooms, which weren't on the menu, hut found out there was a $3 charge per bowl we added them to. The upcharge was very disappointing because nobody mentioned it. If I would have know. It would be such a large upcharge, we wouldn't have added them. Very creative asian place in historic downtown Conroe. I am going to give this the highest rating I can for a place that serves the food in plastic containers. Was out in lake Conroe for a friend's birthday last weekend and he loves anime so we had to make a stop here! Be prepared for a a little wait in line IF you're behind a group that decided to think about what they want at the register instead of being nice and going to sit down first. Very cool DBZ decor you'll definitely want to take pics of. The staff is nice and happy to explain anything on the menu. If you want to dine in they send you immediately next door to The Corner Pub. Very different vibe but more room for larger groups. If it's not too hot you can eat right outside on their super longer table with every DBZ character on it. I grew up in Conroe, but haven't been back in several years! I was passing through town on a beautiful day and decided to checkout the downtown square to see what was new. I happened upon this restaurant. When you first walk in its a bar type of ordering area, which caught me off guard BUT - your are IMMEDIATELY greeted and pulled in by the friendly staff. They will really do any variation to any of their dishes, so you can customize your order. Teas were good, not overly sweet. The egg roll was my favorite part. We chose the Philly cheesesteak egg roll which was different and unique. The noodles were good and so were the fries. I did not care for the cold chunky kimchi. Went with ramen, steak, and a curry based broth. The broth was so good! Perfect level of spice and flavor! I do wish it had a bit more meat it in, maybe next time I'll add extra. They Ave different veggies to choose to add in and it also comes with the egg! The dumplings were delicious and definitely a must!! I loved the place at the start and for a couple years, but recently this place is a hit or miss. To be honest, it is a miss most of the time. We went to eat tonight and we watched as people kept walking out from waiting in line and being ignored. People were needing to clean their own tables including ourselves. We received most of our order, but we were missing our appetizer. At the end when we went to just request a refund, we were left at the counter for several minutes while the cashier continued what they were doing. When we asked again about our refund, we were told they were instead making our food, and that no one was capable of performing a refund. We were very disappointed tonight with the service and the cleanliness of the restaurant and will likely not be back for a while. Also there was more yelling from the kitchen than there was noise in the front of the restaurant, including the giant TV. read more

It's essentially a mixture of pho and ramen. Really delicious food and the atmosphere is fun. They run Dragon Ball Z on the tv, so it's also comforting while you're eating. Service was good, took our orders, brought everything to us, and checked up on us. read more

My wife and I were genuinely looking forward to trying this place as a family we were excited, hopeful, and hungry but instead, we left feeling completely ignored and disrespected. We stood in front of the register for 30 minutes, waiting for someone, anyone, to acknowledge us. The woman working there walked past us over and over again without so much as a glance. When we finally tried to speak up and place our order, she bluntly told us to "wait" and then walked away like. After all that waiting, we ended up walking out not just disappointed, but incredibly frustrated. I honestly hope no one else has to experience what we did. I really wanted to like this place. After seeing so many good reviews on Instagram and even word of mouth, I really really wanted to like this place. I drove an hour and brought my brother to give this place a try around 2pm on a Sunday. We found easy parking but when we opened the door, there was already about 3-4 people waiting in front of us. There was still space for us to wait, so no big deal. The inside is incredibly small, but they had places to sit next door and outside. The decor is of course dragon ball themed with lots of clothes and figures near the front. HUGE shout out to the two girls cooking and taking orders. They really had a packed house and just kept their attitudes positive and inviting. With only two girls working, service was of course extremely slow, but I was super patient. I got the Angkor ramen, my brother got the Beerus ramen and we got some crab ragoons, a thing of kimchi fries and two teas. After about 40 minutes, we got our ramen first. I was super disappointed to see instant ramen cup noodles, and hard boiled eggs. The broth had a weird taste and the eggs were just awful. Not gooey, but hard boiled. I found 3 pieces of baby bok choy and two wiggly pieces of dumplings. They were out of brisket, (which is what's in about half of their menu) and a bunch of other things. The crab ragoons were the star of the show. Crispy and hot, with a sweet and spicy sauce. The fries came about 5-10 minutes later, and were cold and had big pieces of kimchi and small pieces of bulgogi. We got our drinks at the end after having to go up and ask for it multiple times. 3 more employees came in and helped alleviate the stress I'm sure the two girls had. Business was just none stop. Overall was just super disappointed in this place. I spent $63 total on food and tipped $20. Not worth it and won't be coming back. read more

I drove 40 minutes to take my partner to Dragon Bowl C since he's a fan. There was a line, primarily because the establishment is small, and because it's just a popular place due to the unique theme. We probably waited in line for 10-15 minutes which didn't seem like to long of a time. My partner got the build your own bowl with ramen noodles, brisket, corn, and egg at a Super Saiyan spice level 2. He said is was surprisingly spicy and that it was okay. I wanted the crab Rangoons and the strawberry shortcake dessert egg roll but they were unfortunately out (we got there at 8:30pm). I ended up getting the taro milk tea, shrimp tempura, calamari, and apple pie egg roll instead. The calamari was terrible, nothing about it was redeeming. The shrimp tempura batter was pretty soggy but it was better than the calamari. The boba was really warm and the milk tea was room temp as well. I had to move my straw towards the ice at the top to cool it. The Apple pie egg roll was the best thing I ate but it was super small given the price, I could've ordered a bake pie from McDonald's for more food for less money. Everything totaled to about $47 not including tax. which is way overpriced. I felt I was paying more for the aesthetic which makes sense but still doesn't justify the value since the place isn't really designed in a way where patrons can interact or even take pictures which I think it important for a themed restaurant in this age. You can see the kitchen and the food prepared. I saw one of the employees take an egg roll out the freezer and most of what I ordered could be likely be found at 99 ranch market in the freezer section. I just don't think what I ate was worth the price point nor was the dining experience. I'm not sure I'd return or recommend it to others. read more

Really good Ramen spot. First time I came here a few months ago, I got the Ultra Pho with ramen noodles. Good amount of meat, perfectly cooked ramen, consistent and well seasoned broth and a nice little kick to it. I was quite impressed. The shrimp tempura is really good too. The last few times I came here, they didn't have any short rib available so I had to settle for the Dragon Bowl Pho which is good but I really like the touch of that short rib. Still good however. If you ask for it spicy, they give you a cup of this sweet chili sauce that adds a nice sweet heat to it. Service is decent. If you call ahead of time, they're usually pretty good about having your food done in the amount of time. I've never sat in, we always get our food to go, so I can't rate dining in service. read more

I guess they own the bar next door also and it was playing the new Daima episode. I ordered the Dragon Bowl and several different egg rolls. Went to my hotel and started tasting. Whoa! I felt like Whis and Beerus tasting Earth food for the first time. It was fantastic! I'm going back tomorrow and getting more. This time more egg. They must smoke the eggs with the brisket because they had amazing flavor. The best egg roll was the Texas Twinkie, basically a jalapeño popper with brisket in egg roll wrap. It's not on the paper menu, but the guy suggested it as the best one. Everything was excellent. All the people were SUPER nice. I wish this place was close by home. Oh and the cheesecake egg roll! We got multiple things, including the Korean BBQ wings, house sauce wings, shrimp tempura, brisket and mac egg roll, and Pho and ramen. All of it was excellent. Came here for the first time with my family. Ordered the Dragon Bowl Pho, Ultra Pho, Kimchi Fries, Potstickers, Chicken and Steak Gogo Noodles. The pho bowls don't taste anything like the traditional pho, but they are good in their own way. The Dragon Bowl Pho is $13, but I'd highly recommend the Ultra Pho which is $18 because there is waaay more meat and the one huge short-rib was so tender and flavorful. The Gogo Noodles are very tasty as well. The Kimchi fries are good too, but messy. Nothing special about the Potstickers. The dishes are served to you in little takeout containers which at first, looked like such a small portion for what we paid for, buuuut each bowl was packed with noodles making each main dish very fulfilling. They don't have all the condiments you would have at a Pho restaurant, but they have a spice level which can pack a punch. We will definitely be back to try other dishes if we're ever in the Conroe area again. The staff are all very friendly and fast. The female staff in the front recommended a lot of our delicious dishes. Overall, it is a bit pricey, but it was still pretty cool seeing all these Dragonball theme and it was pretty funny the way they named their dishes. We didn't get a chance to get any special drinks because we were so stuffed. The cashier area where you order your food and they'll deliver it to you. The cashier area is really small, but they have a lot of tables and chairs to dine on in another part of the building which appears to be a bar and stage area. So every 90's anime nerd has been secretly hoping that Kamè somehow bought a restaurant and themed it so that they could live out their nostalgia in real life. Well, it's happened. Craziest of all, in Conroe Texas?!? The Nitty Gritty Ok, so the decor of this restaurant is the thing dreams are made of. From the wall art, to the menu, to the old fashioned gum ball machine with... you guessed it... Dragon Balls! I loved every minute. What was even better was my girlfriends face as she looked around, finally meeting my over accentuated grin and asked the question that opened the door for me to gush like a 16 year old nerd, "What the hell is this?" The staff was amazing, the Pho was amazing, my Freza cup was (overpriced) amazing! And the wait was not long at all. I want to make sure I note that. The line was long (because it should be as long as Shenron's tail), but the wait wasn't nearly as long as one of Goku's training sessions with Kamè. Sorry, had to nerd out.
