A great place to get good food and in this case, get in a work meeting. The service was the best! You can get food anywhere, but it's an added bonus to have wonderful service. Honor Cafe is in its own standalone building with its own parking lot in front. Inside its part restaurant and military themed museum. There are two large dining areas inside and is a table service eatery. I ordered the Honor Burger w/fries for lunch and the MSRP was $16. The waitress told me it was a popular choice and it arrived about 10 minutes later. This burger is a fully dressed version of a 6 oz beef pattie with avocado slices, pepper Jack cheese and caramelized onions with garlic aioli. It was a filling and good tasting burger and the bun held up to the end. The fries are of a curly and thick style that are seasoned and served hot. I liked them as they are unusual in design and tasted good. The table service was very good too. I would repeat this order except next time get the regular $12 burger without the avocado and caramelized onions. My meal with soft drink, tax and tip was $25 which is a little expensive for a burger meal. I'll bet their breakfast meals are good too. read more

I have been here a few times now. And I just love this place!! With it being such a short walk from the court house makes it easy to get to. The decor and museum pieces are so cool!! I love getting to eat with the planes and flags, and the menus are so charming!! The food is always fantastic, the servers are so good and kind to everyone, and the bathrooms are always clean. We wanted something that had both breakfast and lunch. This place did NOT disappoint. Hubby ordered the welcome home burger. Dad ordered American breakfast. I ordered the turkey club with fries. Welcome home burger was presented perfectly. The tower of food with a steak knife stuck in it was impressive. The bacon was crispy and onion rings were fresh battered and fried. The crispy jalapeños gave a nice heat without being too much. Dad's eggs were cooked exactly how he likes them. Potatoes had a seasoning in them that he said was a little warm. Sausage had blueberry in it. We didn't see blueberry so I'm not sure if it's an essence or flavoring added. My sandwich was amazing! Nice crunch from the toaster to give it an enjoyable texture. Thick amount of turkey with crisp lettuce and fresh tomato. Loved the garlic aioli to dip my fries in. Our server was polite and very attentive. She was also kind to everyone else, asking how customers were doing and what they've been up to which is indicative of seeing them regularly. I ordered eggs over hard got over easy, ordered bacon and got sausage send it back, ordered a homemade biscuit which I LOVE but got a frozen one instead, and no potatoes because it isn't recommended to remove the peppers. Tried out Honor Café on the suggestion of a friend and we really enjoyed our experience. I like the military theme and the fact that they really do honor, respect and support our veterans. We stopped in and were seated immediately. My wife enjoys her omelets and ordered the Build Your Own Omelet and was very happy with her meal. I wanted to try the Chicken and Waffles. Belgian waffles, chicken strips and blueberry sausage sounded as good as it tasted and was really happy with my meal as well. Out waitress was wonderful. Friendly and attentive, I have no complaints here. The meals were also very reasonable priced and I thought we got great value for the price. The only thing I was disappointed in was that they did not serve Bloody Mary's as I tend to favor them on weekends. Yes, they had beer but it wasn't what I was looking for. Other than that, I highly recommend supporting Honor Café, their food if fantastic and I really do like what they stand for. read more

The coffee tasted old, and the pancakes were dense and lacked the fluffy texture you would expect -- almost as if they had been microwaved. I visited Honor Cafe to support a local business and fellow veterans, so I was hoping for a much better experience. Visited Honor Cafe in Conroe during lunch time ; Ordered two sides , 2 sift drinks and waffles and was overcharged ; Calked back and the lady stated she was the owner , she let me know that she didn't see a transaction of the amount charged and will not go over 1000 tickets to find that receipt ; She asked to bring the receipt in which they have at the restaurant. Very disappointed got double charged on top of it she hung up instead of resolving the overcharge . read more

This place is so cool. Starting with the outside decor and then as you walk inside there's decor everywhere honoring veterans. There's a sweet person who greets you as you come in and leave. The service from our waiter (Mark I think it was Mark) was absolutely outstanding. It was unmatched and he does an incredible job. I would love to go to this place once a week just to support them. That's all not evening mentioning the food!!! The food was delicious and the portions were enormous. I was shocked! And the price, my goodness it was so affordable. Very refreshing in this economy. Honor Cafe - good for lunch Three of us had a business lunch at Honor Cafe on an early Monday afternoon. Most of the lunch crowd had cleared out, so we pretty much had the place to ourselves. I opted for the bbq brisket sandwich, which came with a large side of mac-n-cheese. The sandwich was served on a brioche roll. While it was tasty, I wouldn't say the brisket was exception. We've been to this restaurant many times. Love the ambiance and the memorabilia is a neat concept and we used to love the food. Visited a few months back, not a good experience. Decided to try one more time. Got stopped when we were walking in by the employee in the parking lot making sure the festival goers were not parking there, I get it. Limited parking for paying customers only . I had the chipotle wrap, it was good. My husband ordered the SOS breakfast. It was cold from the second they sat it down. The biscuit was hard and the steak picada was dumped on top in a greasy mess. Our waitress seemed like she had better things to do even though they were not busy. She did not listen to us after she put the check down. We won't come back. It's a great concept with the military memorabilia but it is a restaurant and it can't be operated on nostalgia alone. Pour it over the unusual deep fried grits that came with the shrimp, which came with tails on? Someone needs to let the kitchen know that I don't eat out to find shrimp as lazily prepared as I would at home. Service was very friendly and hospitable. We were introduced to this place while visiting family. It's a great spot for breakfast but they serve lunch and dinner as well. The experience was great all around. It's like a museum with food service. Loved that it is a tribute to all our service members (men & women) of all military branches. (Thank you, is simply not enough). The food was tasty and the ambience was good. The menus are presented in a medical file which is unique and cool. The decor is made of various photos, memorabilia and items from all military branches. The honor potatoes are excellent as they were cooked just right and very flavorful. The French toast comes with sliced bananas and strawberries on top, making for a great presentation. Let's not forget the bacon: crispy goodness! Coffee was fresh & smooth and the service was excellent. If I lived here, I'd be a regular patron here. I bought a cute little corduroy tote bag that I can't wait to use. This old time historical building holds a treasure chest of military memorabilia. You can find photos, maps, uniforms, weapons and more. If you know someone who was in the military or had a family member, it's worth a visit. The food is diner quality and enjoyable. I loved the place and how it's decked out in all kinds of memorabilia of so many soldiers. It just warmed my heart. Even some of the tables are etched with some cool designs. SOS - not like you might be used to. Flavorful steak on top of biscuits with rich, thick, cream gravy. Chilaquilas - grilled pork loin chop with crispy chips. Cheese Fried Grits definitely needs the sauce that comes with it - a touch dry. And the little one was so happy with the waffles. Our weekend trip with friends to Conroe continues with brunch at a local Veteran-owned hidden gem! This place was so delicious; it's definitely a memorable place to try out. It's a very spacious restaurant, and the breakfast menu is offered all day long! I got the shrimp & grits, which came as jumbo shrimp sautéed in garlic Parmesan sauce with peppers and onions, fried cheesy grits, and house-made lemon butter sauce. I've never seen grits prepared fried solid like this, but it was a game changer! It went really well with the sauce and is probably the best shrimp & grits I've ever had. My bf had the breakfast quesadillas, which was scrambled eggs with bacon, Mexican chorizo, and shredded cheese in a flour tortilla topped with avocado crema, pico de Gallo, and queso fresco. This Brisket Quesadilla was definitely hearty and packed with a lot of egg and a lot of cheese, so be prepared. Out of the four slices, he was only able to finish half of it. So definitely share with a group because it's just not the same reheated lol. We all ended our meal with shared gooey butter cookies and chocolate brownies. The chocolate brownies were rich and very smooth, and the gooey butter cookies were literally as the name suggested LOL. Highly recommend if you are a big fan of cookies like I am!
