Stiching became undone in less than 2 weeks
    Mai H.

Found my 1 year old pulling stuffing out of her bear even 2 weeks after. I'm not sure when the stitching became undone but she has only been hugging the bear gently in car rides. Please double check the stitching. In store, staff were nice. I tried to use a coupon but it didn't work, staff only said coupons sometimes work and sometimes don't... they said it's due their glitchy system, no other explanations.

I'm happy to see all the exciting kids in the Build-A-Bear Workshop. The store is colorful. The store has lots of happiness and joyful kids and their families. They have lots of choices of bears or other animals' cloth dolls available in the store. I'm sure your kids will fall in love with some dolls there, and they are also making their dolls. I can't imagine how much fun they will have as they are watching their doll animal born in front of them. The prices are very similar to many years ago when Build-A-Bear Workshop had just opened. I didn't see any significant increase like everything else recently. So the cost to build an animal doll by your kid is more affordable than many years ago!

My baby and her birthday bear!

We heard about the "pay your age" event they do for your baby's birthday and we were super excited. We had our first child in 2020. Saying that, a lot of things we couldn't wait to do as parents definitely were put on hold. The store was very clean and everyone in the store properly wore their mask and socially distanced! We waited by the door and were greeted right away. The women who created us had such an amazing attitude and was the sweetest! We got our baby the birthday bear and a peep one! I'm so sad that I missed her name! She was so patient with us and so nice to our baby! Thank you build a bear for reminding us that, with enough safety, the classic events can still be done! We can't wait to come back next year!

My baby "Sparkles" she made, for $2!!! Thanks Pay Your Age for choosing us this year!

We were one of the 200k who won a ticket for "pay your age day!" And we always got an extra ticket. So it was a "pay your age day + 1 friend" so basically 2 pay your age day tickets. So dope! We only ended up using 1. We did offer our other one to the lady behind us in line, but apparently she was a snotty woman cause she just flat out ignored me.. rude. She was purchasing 3 different bears, so she must have it like that! I was just trynna be nice. That's what I get. Anyways I was sooo excited as in 2018 I wanted to go when my daughter was 1. We were actually all ready to go to the mall, then right before leaving, I was turning the TV off when the news made an announcement saying that lines are crazy long, some are all the way out to the parking lots. They're running out of alot of items, people were physically fighting over bears lmaooo!!! I was like it is NOT that serious. We were living in Fremont at the time and the closest Build A Bear was in Pleasanton. So it would've been a long wasted drive for us just to arrive and find out that they were cancelling it and sending people home because of the madness. We definitely dodged a bullet. So after 2019 they did it a smart way, by only giving 200k people all across the world a ticket for "pay your age" We luckily won! It was a 2 day event so we could go in either day. I had never been to Build A Bear and whenever walking past it, I never really payed any attention to how they actually did it. It's definitely funny! Adult Humor It's so cute. How you pick a bear, they stuff it, you can add a heart, voices, scents. It's truly beautiful! They do a cute little thing where they have the kids hug & kiss the heart before putting it inside. So sweet!! We literally paid $2!!!!!!!! And my daughter made the most beautiful Pony on skates! Which we named Sparkles, but we call her Lady Glitter Sparkles from Trolls. My toddler is obsessed.

Our four-year old had a blast at a build-a-bear party for one of her preschool friends this afternoon. The kids got to pick from a selection of bears, bunnies and puppies, name their furry friends, stuff them (after putting a heart inside!), bathe them, and dress them. Then all the kids gathered in the back of the store and sang happy birthday. Finally they got to take their new friends home, complete with carrying case and birth certificate! What fun!!

After watching how to train your dragon 3 I decided to take my kiddos to build-a-bear to build their own dragons. They quickly chose their own toothless and light fury dragons to create. Lindsey was a very helpful and cheery associate who helped my children stuff their dragons to their desired softness, place a heart inside and stitch their dragons up. The kids are in love with their new fluffy friends. The downside of this location is its size. It is one of the smallest locations that I have been to so when it is busy it is REALLY hard to move around. There was a daisy troop there when we were visiting and it made for a difficult trip through the store. They also have an odd flow through the location compared to others I have visited which makes you walk back and forth across the store looking for items along with the bathing, dressing and naming stations. Not to mention how small the dressing station is! I would most likely look for a larger store next time.

We chose the party package that was $18 per child, and Monica showed the kids the two options they could choose from.

We were a bit disappointed because I had received an email that it was drift night, but when we arrived it had actually been the night before. Marketing really needs to have accurate messaging going out. I double checked the email to see if I'd read it right and it indeed had the wrong night listed. Kids were super bummed, but decided to go out and drive and still had a great time. The track was a tad slippery still from drift night so they actually had a few tiny drift moments. They have food and drinks available for reasonable prices. Mostly pub type food, as well as snacks and candy. Lots of nonalcoholic and alcoholic beverages available. There's a pool table and other games in an arcade area. Plenty of seating options. I love that electric carts are available, as I don't miss having to breathe in fumes with the former gas carts. Yay for technology! Plenty of parking out front. You can register to play online before you arrive or at the door.

You can pre register online and just check in upon arrival. You're immediately assigned a host to guide you through the event. In the beginning the process was a bit confusing but it all got sorted out by the time the race began. All drivers got a safety instruction. Then guided to 2 guys to help with helmet fitting. Birthday girl was girl in line as cars weee assigned to everyone in the party. There is a place to sit and watch the racers doing their laps. The 1st lap took some getting used to. But since it was a private track time for the party, there were no unnecessary public interactions crashing cars into each other. Safety first which I really appreciated. The girls had a complete blast once they figured out how the cars drove. There was a short 20 min break in between laps where they were given drink cards and game cards to use $10 ea. The second lap was the one that counts and who won 1st 2nd 3rd place. In the end everyone received a certificate and got to stand on the podium for pics. We brought our own cake. K1 provided the sliders and pretzel dogs and utensils plates. The party section was spacious and clean. Loved the decor. Great for older kids and adults as some of the parents, kids at heart, had to refrain from joining in on the party. Many of the kids weren't able to use their game card as we ran out of time. The kids saved it for their next visit. I would recommend this place for parties or a night out or even team building event.

We opted for the party room after for an extra 30mins which was just enough time for the kids to settle down, eat, sing happy birthday and have cupcakes without feeling rushed. Tips: -A curtain separates the experience from the party room, so you can set up while the kids play (if you chose the extra 30mins) -There's a seating area not far from the location for parents to hang out. -There isn't a restroom, so you will need to use one of the many restrooms throughout the mall. -Currently the escalator by the store going down is out of service, so plan ahead.

My boys are both age 12 and liked the set up for learning, the options of the different plans and types of art they could choose from and the instructors were all warm and helpful. As someone with chemical sensitivities, one of the instructors there was heavily fragranced and I had difficulties staying for too long.. For me, that was the only downfall as my kids don't particularly like being around strong fragrance either, though they don't have the reactions to it that I do. Overall, this was a fantastic experience. You can choose from different plans and frequencies.
