Came in around 1pm on a Thursday and it was pretty packed. This is a nicely organized Lego store and is well staffed with useful employees. There is also plenty of parking as it is located in a little plaza. I will definitely be back as my son really enjoyed it. read more

What a great little store! Just happened across this place today and of course the kids had a blast! Be warned it'll take you at least 20 minutes to get your kids to leave. :) New and used Lego. They have pre-built sets that are no longer in circulation. They have trade in for you to trade in the sets that you've grown out of and either cash out or trade up into new sets. Not sure how they value old sets as I didn't bring in anything, but this is way less hassle than trying to sell it on FB MP or on Craigslist. The owners are super friendly and are great with kids. I was so sad that I missed the grand opening and especially since I found out later that I had been just a few stores away when it was happening. I was so excited to find out one of these places was opening since my first visit to a bricks and mini figs was out of state. Bricks and minifigs is a buy and sell lego store and there are both used and new Lego items sold here. I was so bummed that there are no local Legos stores that have custom minifigs anymore. So of course, I was so so happy to find out they have custom mini figs here (choose your own head, headwear, torso, legs, and accessory!). $5 per minifig or you can buy each part separately if you don't want the whole thing. There was a decent selection of each part of the lego minifig to choose from though I'm sure that since grand opening, many parts have been picked over. We were able to build mini-me minifigs :) and we were fortunate they had just the right pieces that represented us! I've been looking for the stethoscope torso and they just happened to have it here! Yay!! They even have skirts which I loved! And my dad found a Ford torso which is totally him!! Was told that as people sell their items to the store, different items will come and so it can vary each time you come. So come every now and then bc you never know what they may carry. It's a small store, but they sell Disney, muppet, star-wars and other character mini figs, boxed legos, inexpensive lego accessories etc etc. if you're in the area, check it out. Randomly stopped by the store after picking up my kids from school. It feels really spacious and it was nice and cool. Lots of product to look at with the display case of mini figures being the best. This 2nd hand Lego store is 2nd one with in a 20 minute drive . Another one is in pleasant hill. What I like about this store is the display and light area. Lots of lights and Lego display . The owner Mike is very friendly and knowledge about Lego . There are usually two other gentleman who are just as friendly. The other store that has only one worker to help and the owner hides in the back. The San Ramon store has more used Lego and there is always something to find every time I go. There is also new sets and promotions on there instagram page. There sets and figures are around the normal price. There used sets tend too be better. I've seen Lego classes from the Brickmasters that are an option to join. In general the friendly staff, more Lego , and presentation is why its getting a good rating. read more

I went in to sell my used Lego's today. Most of them were built, but some did not have minifigures. I even asked to see if I could just get store credit. And they told me no, they only buy sets with boxes and minifigures and instructions. And that they are only looking for star wars and other themes that sell . I wasted my time going in and taking out each of my sets out of the bin just to be told that they could not even give me store credit. read more

I think when writing reviews, it's important to know a little about the reviewer. Reading a review without a little backstory is a little tough to judge in my opinion. Granted it's not a thing I've done before but retail is a little different than food. You can look back at my food reviews and get a judge of who I am as a foodie then go from there. With retail I have little if any point of reference. Since I was a child, I've loved Lego. My first toys I can remember were Lego sets. Like many people of my generation, I simply grew up and toys (Lego included) became a thing of my past. I found things like girls, sports, video games, etc. to fill the space of entertainment Lego gave me for years. Fast forward to now, where I have found a new love for Lego thanks to Lego Masters and a case of Alzheimer's my mother acquired several years back. One of the few things that both of us are entertained by have been those little colorful bricks from Denmark. That being said, I have become a builder as well as a collector since we both started watching the show religiously. In my search for stores to shop at I went to my local Bricks & Minifigs in Pleasant Hill. As much as I enjoy shopping there my favorite staff member informed me that the one in San Ramon is the one, I would love the most. She was right. It has everything you'd want in a Lego store. Big selection of both new and used products, knowledgeable staff, but most importantly a sense of home. I say this because I have always been someone who's been fascinated with hobby specific stores. In my experience, the biggest problem is if you feel new to the hobby these types of stores can feel un-welcoming. As if you didn't feel like you belonged. I say this because there are many hobbies, I've wanted to embrace but the stores attached to them never seem like they want to attract new people to their world. Bricks and Minifigs in San Ramon is not one of them. Since the moment I stepped in I always felt welcomed. The more I stepped into their door the more they took time to get to know me. But I would always notice as much time as they spent with me they never neglected anyone else who came into their world. I felt so comfortable that I even started bringing my mother who they embraced as if she was shopping with me, though in reality they always found her a chair to sit in while I browsed and chatted with the staff. Mind you, I already loved this store on my own. Their dealings with my mother were a bonus. I could go into that in detail but that's a review all on its own. Simply put, this store is everything you'd want in a local community store. I only wish other businesses would take the time to visit places like this and see what it takes to build a community within a store that can become more than just a place to shop for a specific hobby or need. Even though I still visit all the stores that specialize in Lego in the Bay Area, Bricks and Minifigs is the one I spend the most time in and make it a point to spend money in because it deserves the support of its community. read more

Great selection of new and used sets as well as minifigs themselves and bulk random piece tables you can sort through for just about any piece you could want! I'm a fairly new Lego Star Wars collector and I happen to hear about this shop from a friend. So I decided to check it out the other day with my cousin and maybe pick up something for our collections. As soon as we walked in we were immediately greeted and were so impressed at how clean and organized the store was. Mike (the owner) and Joben (the manager) were very friendly and knowledgeable, they really know their stuff. Long story short, we ended up buying quite a few Star Wars minifigs that the manager Joben recommended and also picked up a box set and some other smaller set too. This is a wonderful family owned business! Mike and Michelle, the owners, always make us feel like extended family when we visit with them. They have tons of great sets, both new and used. We are HUGE Lego fans and live in Martinez, but we are happy to make the trip out to San Ramon to go to this fantastic store. What a superb experience for my little lego master wannabe, all of his lego dream came true. My kiddo was a first timer at the store's special event - Lego Masters Zach and Wayne - and got the full Lego Masters experience - kids are shown a build with moving parts, they go get their pieces and build, under the very awesome guidance of the lego masters. Then with their basic moving model, they get to use their imagination and make it what they want. next visit, motors. The guys running the store are super helpful, involved, and clearly passionate. This store has a great selection of New Legos, but what my son loves the most is the open bins that allow him to just build or create to his hearts content then purchase what he created. Their prices are very reasonable. They also hold events with former Lego Masters TV show Finalist. This event was my son's favorite thing.
