The only problem I have here is the heavy Caucasian woman with black shoulder length hair (Sara) and glasses definitely fits the "I like black people" but in all reality criminalizes black person she sees bill. She watched every move I made as a black woman. I mean went out of her way to watch me from different angles. I hated to purchase anything however my daughter's been dying to come here after not coming for a year. The store could definitely do without her or put a sign that says "NO BLACKS ALLOWED" while she's working. She even dropped my change into my hand instead of placing it in mine as I had placed in hers. After that visit I doubt I'll go back there.

The staff here have always been…read morefriendly, helpful, they have a comic section with books from the last year or so on the right side of the store which includes titles from Marvel, DC, Image, Dynamite, and a few titles from independents. I have not seen many back issues with the exception of wall comics. They have a pretty large area of clearance $1 comics on the left side of the store which seem to be 2-3 years old books. I like that these $1 boxes are on tables and my back appreciates that they are easy to sort through. They also have an inventory of collected editions which includes trade paperbacks, hardcovers, omnibus, and compendiums. The owner Kerry has tried to help me find some obscure current comic books a couple times which I appreciate. The staff have all been helpful and easy to work with. I believe they do a significant amount of business in trading card/game card these days, but still have a respectable comic offering.

The people who work here are so knowledgeable about books and scan always recommend the perfect novel or nonfiction based on a description of your preferences. It reminds me of the days when there were neighborhood video rental shops before Blockbuster and Netflix. So, my child ended up getting something different. At a whim, I decided to ask Cole, the team member that assisted us at checkout, even though it was already a long shot for me. To my surprise, Cole knew what I was asking about and said he recollected there may be some left and checked the drawers but wasn't able to find any. He then asked if I wanted him to check the back room but he had already gone the extra mile just by checking the drawers for me so I declined. However, he insisted that it would only take 10 seconds and I said why not - so as long as I wasn't hindering him from anything. Sure enough, it was less than 10 seconds and he came out with them!! I WAS SO HAPPY but not as happy as my child! So, because of Cole, we left extremely happy and satisfied. It wasn't the fact that they had the item, but I felt Cole went above and beyond to actually TRY to ensure customer satisfaction and didn't give a dismissive attitude or answer. Even if hypothetically, he recalled incorrectly and there wasn't anymore in stock, I still would have been satisfied because of the effort he put into checking multiple places to see if they had it. Genuinely, it was my first time being helped in that manner in any retailer, so it gave me hope that customer service compassion isn't dead or something of the long past. So, I don't know if anyone has had a similar experience like me, but I'm very glad to have had such an impactful experience here by this particular team member and I'll be sure to check here first for all of my children's needs!

Today I am surprised that the store is pretty empty with few choices of LEGO sets . Last time I got lots of gifts from different themes: Chinese new year , Japanese garden , kitchen , animas , Star Wars and Harry Potter, Super heroes, play house , battle ships , etc . The rest of the mall are having Good Friday vibes and filled up with new merchandise. I am a little disappointed . Did not make a purchase because I did not find anything interesting.

Your merchandise will break soon after you get home and the warranty means the guy who stands at this kiosk will glue your busted merchandise back together for you. And, he will charge you for the glue. If I had paid half the price for my little toy radio-controlled quadcopter this place would be getting four stars. But paying full price and getting half quality with miserable customer service is frustrating. Warning, do not give the proprietor of this kiosk any of your personal information. When I walked up to the kiosk no one was working there but the cash register was covered with little sticky notes containing customer names and phone numbers. I waited for 50 minutes for the proprietor to come back.
